      I THINK I FIXED IT

      just had to disable all my bluetooth shit, everything under network adapters and uninstall my driver then restart.

      I have bad news for you.

      This is a recurring bug with Windows 8, that is yet to receive an official fix despite it being a problem from the beginning of the OS's release.

      It's a driver issue. Typically rolling back to the most recent version of the Manufacturers Driver can fix it; if not, you'll be forced to stick with a direct connection.

      I've had so many headaches with this problem.

      Also, Windows 8 is actually a very good OS. I'd recommend going ahead and upgrading to Win 8.1, given it's free and overall considerably better in terms of functionality.
