It's easy to judge a group or faction. People tend to see the outside factors as fact and then establish it as the entirety and label them for it. As long as people have different thought processes and general opinions, stereotypes will always exist, whether if it is good or bad and if it is true or false. We humans are special in that regard.

As Wolf pointed out, they don't come from nowhere. However, it's up to you if you're going to perpetuate the stereotype, or be an example that not everyone in your group is like that.

I understand why they're used, but that doesn't stop me from hating them.
