  1. You can leave the mansion by jumping through the broken window to the right of the healing machine. Then you can go grind whatever you want, build yourself a strategy and catch the mons required for it. You have perfect information of what you're going to face, so it's just a puzzle that can be solved.
  2. Find the stairs in the middle, and go up.
  3. Remember that the PC just arrived in the Reborn region. Many of the other people and trainers there have lived here for years.
  4. She's easy as hell if you bring a few Beam Attacks yourself. A single Flash Cannon (steel, super effective) will utterly ruin her day.

Focus sash is one us yes. There are a few more scattered around the world, and very late game you can buy them.
  6. Go West from Fiore mansion. You can get back through the Mountain. Just need Surf.
  7. Not for a long time, but yes. Arclight will manage to track several of them done eventually.
  8. That's not the end. Hold on the those pokemon, as they are (do not evolve them. Breed them and evolve the babies if you want to use them). It'll become far more worth it.

You can still fish up a Carvanha later in the Aqua hideout. But yes, those 3 pokemon in that order.

You get a Ponyta if you join Aqua, or a Buizel if you join Magma. Later on you'll get a Carvanha or Houndour respectively, but you can get the other one pretty quickly afterwards.

    Dive

There is an event to find a Lapras underwater, but you're not going to just randomly stumble upon that. No other event fights underwater. Except for the Water gym, who fights underwater.
  12. Why though, when you can already get a Whishmur to counter Chatot?
  13. You can also find a Whismur in one of the houses as event pokemon. It has Soundproof (or soft reset till it does), so it's immune to Chatot's main thing.
  14. For reference, Shivalley comes after level 50, Phione after level 80-ish, and you get Poipole after you finished collecting every other pokemon that is available for capturing/finding.
  15. You get Taka in the desert if you refuse to fight him in the Water Treatment Plant.
  16. That'll be because there was still a file named "Game". You first need to rename the file named "Game". Delete the original file you ruined, and rename the backup you wanted to "Game"
  17. You can leave the house. In the back room (with the healing machine) there is some broken glass on the floor. That indicates a broken window. Jump out and go do whatever.
  18. IIRC (and it's been a long time), Mankey is not available until later in Yellow. It's also possible that I just didn't know Fighting was super effective against Rock. I was that age.
  19. Butterfree has emotional power for me, because when I used to play Pokemon Yellow it was the only way my uncreative child brain could imagine beating Brock. The only other pokemon available up until that point were mostly Normal attackers, so everything was resisted. I think the only other option was Double Kick on Nidoran, which I didn't know about.
  20. Some people prefer to save their stuff on specific drives.
  21. Or Bulbapedia https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page
  22. Attack first, speed second, the rest is less important (still useful, obviously) For nature, +Att - Sp Att is ideal.
