For now i will just keep using 18.2 on my randomizer files, while using 18.3 for my non-randomizer saves. I don't want to break anything on my end that i can't fix myself.
Also i started translating the extracted text file, just because i felt like it......and even though i translated somewhere between about 200-300 lines of dialogue by now, i am still nowhere.....that slider bar on the side oy my window has not moved an inch yet.
You were not kidding when you said i would need a fuckload of time....I'm not even expecting to actually get it done, as i only translate about 50 lines whenever i feel like it. Well, maybe if there was an official translation for the final version, i might take that a little more serious. Until then this translation will be a side project of mine.....

and it seems to work fine
for both exes.
i am confused.
granted, the fonts look janky, but, like, that's minor.

i actually don't know for a fact that it isn't compatible with game.exe

When I battle Gorebyss against a trainer or in the wild at a certain part of the game, it just skips its turn and doesn't do anything. Upon catching one, I realized that its moveset is Sacred Fire, Ice Ball, Struggle, and Lunge, so Struggle might be causing the problem.
EDIT: Found out something else really weird. When I hover over Struggle in the move choices, it actually causes a turn to pass for both Pokemon without either of them being able to do anything, so Pokemon still take burn damage, etc. However, after that battle, the following message popped up before the game crashed:
"Script 'Pokebattle_ActualScene' line 427: NoMethodError occurred.
undefined method '>' for nil:NilClass"
struggle is busted. we haven't had a chance to fix that yet.

if you open up the reborn app itself and get to this folder: Pokemon Reborn.app\Contents\Resources
there should be a file called MKXP.json
try replacing it with the one i've attached and see if it works

your computer is definitely not so old that it can't run 18.3... but it is definitely acting like it is.
my guess for this is that you're missing some opengl drivers? but i'm not exactly the most knowledgeable about mac hardware, though.
maybe see if those can be updated somehow?

Line 5553 in PokeBattle_MoveEffects (in class PokeBattle_Move_0B3):
Before:
attacker.pbUseMoveSimple(move)
After:
attacker.pbUseMoveSimple(move, target=opponent.index)
Seems to work fine with multi-enemy moves as well; tested it with Triattack and Sludge Wave at least.

I guess there isn't some kind of spreadsheet that includes every single line of dialogue in the game, all Pokémon related things like Pokémon names, Dex entries, moves, abilities, descriptions of moves/abilities and so on?
Sure, if a spreadsheet like that existed, that would still need
to translate everything, but it would be something most people who would like to help translate the game could work with XD
you can eject all the text in the game and then go through line-by-line and manually translate it

Other than obviously fluent knowledge of both english and the language one wants to translate to.

it will, yes.
and there are multiple application support folders, so make sure you're checking the right one.

Might just be an 18.3 change, and it gives off a pretty cool vibe for the graveyard in particular, but yeah, not sure if it's intended.
