Do you have the solution for the third one? (the one who adds luster and foliation) I can't seem to solve it

    Spoiler

    Size: S>A>R>E

    Hardness: R>S>E>A

    Purity: E>S>R>A

    Foliation: E>R>S>A

    Luster: S>E>A>R

  2. I can see there being dual timelines that cause changes to the E4 teams. Maybe in the ideal timeline where you fight the Zekrom statue the teams have no mythicals, but in the true timeline where you fight the Reshiram statue each E4 member has one.

If this is the case, I imagine Heather having Shaymin-Sky instead of Zapdos. I can see the move set including Healing Wish to throw a wrench in our plans and the other 3 moves being Seed Flare, Air Slash and Earth Power/Tailwind. For the item, likely scarf since this seems to be the best item for it.

  3. Absolutely 100% Pachirisu. Probably one of the most reliable Pokémon I've used in difficult Pokémon games like this one and rejuvenation. It just gets so much done! Pickup, is tanky so it can use Charm and Nuzzle to weaken tough Pokémon on your opponents' team and then you can either let it faint or switch into another Pokémon to get some setup before something else comes in. It's just way too good. There's a reason why it was on one of the Worlds' champions team. I'm surprised these games left it as an early game Pokémon with how amazing it is. I haven't played much of Unbound so I don't know how far it is in the game.

  4. Personally I've found that, in this episode at least, if you backtrack and complete quests and stuff there's almost always something that makes the upcoming gym pretty easy.

What part of the game are you on? Maybe I or somebody else here can help you find something.

  5. Yeah I feel like Pokemon Reborn is so much easier this episode just because enemies switch when you lower their stats, even if the stat changes doesn't affect much. I've been saved from certain loss by random switches more times than I can count. The game's still great, winning's just not as satisfying.

yes it's the right location. iirc it's in a barrel on the left side of the biggest room.

Thank you I found it! I'm kind of mad at myself right now because I could've made the battle against Flora so much easier if I did this earlier. At least I think so, I don't know if her Venasaur had something for Metagross. Oh well.

  7. How do you get the 3rd shard to get Beldum in this version? I got the one on the volcano and Darchlight Cave, but now I'm stuck on the 3rd one. I can't seem to get passed the arrows in the Wetland Lab. Is this the correct location and if so, which part of the lab is it in? Do you need Dive to get it?

  8. I used Rock Climb in Phasial Cave and then used Night Daze in the glittering cave which gave me a bridge and some great SMD music for the place. However there's an item behind a chasm that I can't get to and I can't encounter any wild pokemon to do anything (and trust me, I had Sweet Scent with me to try). What's the next step? Or is impossible to get it at 7 badges?

  9. This problem just started right now. Before it was working just fine and now when I double click it it doesn't open at all. I tried all sorts of stuff like right clicking and opening it that way, restarting the computer, and using a backup of the save, but it still won't launch. Do I have to download the entire file again to get the launcher to work or is there another way around this?

  10. Imo diversify the typing of your team is the best way to overcome the counter teams and try to add fast Pokemon to it. Persian is not normally that good, but because it's really fast it puts in work. That's just one example, there's more options for fast Pokemon.

This game is meant to get to get you to adjust your line of thinking to overcome the obstacles. As much of a pain it can be, that's half the fun of it. I will say though, some of the puzzles are a little insane, but I guess there's always YouTube walkthroughs for that one.

  11. Dude, I did a run with Chikorita as my starter at some point and that thing is actually good. Synthesis is some heat. Who needs Super Potions when you can just spam this early game healing move? And doesn't it learn Nature Power? I remember it being viable in the ice gym for some reason.

Now if you really want some trouble, pick Bulbasaur. That was a pretty unfortunate pick for me. Let's see, what good moves does this get? Take down/Double Edge (recoil), Solar Beam (needs Ninetales to come in first most of the time), Petal Dance (can't switch moves), Petal Blizzard (it's alright as long as its single battle, which so happens to not be the format for a lot of the boss battles). Fuck, this brings back terrible memories. Like great, you get Synthesis basically at the point where you can easily buy good healing items and probably have a solid moveset. The only good thing about this starter is that nothing outspeeds once you get your sun up. Well, I guess you could use Petal Blizzard in doubles with a Sap Sipper mon next to you. If only I knew about that ability back then whoops.

  12. Wait, there's letters? I didn't go back all the way, but I did go back a bit after Luna appears and I didn't see any letters. Is it letter made by those stars? I might have to go back a bit in my save file (which would suck because that would just mean I'd have to beat Hardy again, but oh well).

  13. Huh it'd be pretty cool if certain legendaries were made available before the elite 4 depending on whether you have good reputation with certain characters like a Kartana event opening up if you have X points with Titania. That would be a little OP though (depends on the legendary).

The other dialogue option is if Taka is dead and you didn't defeat Solaris' Garchomp, in which she still mentions the boy with the broken wings.  But instead of telling you not to worry, she starts breaking down and apologizes over and over and over before going back to sleep.

Huh guess she's worried we're not strong enough, are unprepared or can't think outside the box. I guess that makes sense if we're coming up against an especially tough opponent next episode.

  15. Spoiler

When you wake her up with Heal Bell, Anna seems to say different things depending on what timeline you're playing in. In my first playthrough where I just rush through everything and get the pretty basic stuff (destroy by 'Chomp, fight Taka in WTC, give Blake the ring the first time around, I think Laura getting kidnapped in the Belrose Manse) she just tells you not to worry. But in this timeline where I do everything that Anna and Shade "like" she seems worried about the "boy with the broken wing dying" (apparently he wasn't supposed to?) and tries to reassure us unconvincingly that everything will turn out alright. Now she refuses to wake up again. Im curious what else she has to say and what events trigger that specific dialogue.

Touch where the two cords meet in the middle of the room.

    Oh! Thanks!

    Spoiler

How do you get Ghastly to actually battle you?

Nevermind. Figured it out. You have to outsmart it.

  17. There's this shed with the creepy music. I managed to get Thunder Wave and I see a locked door, but I can't find a way to open it. How would you go about opening it to get whatever is behind it (prolly ghost type because music).
