While I am fairly certain that PULSEs were created in Reborn before Mega Evolution entered the main Pokemon Series, the parallels between the two are clear (there's even a note on the TV Tropes page that PULSE Pokemon are basically being subjected to Mega Evolution's evil counterpart).
But recently, when I was looking around, I discovered an interesting fact. Namely, several Mega Evolved Pokemon, such as Glalie, Aerodactyl, Lucario, and Salamance, all suffer from rather disturbing side effects when they Mega Evolve. Sound familiar?
Also, there is the fact that, as far as we know, no Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution has ever been hooked up to a PULSE (Garbodor, Magnezone, Avalugg, Swalot, Muk, Tangrowth, Camreupt, Abra, Mr. Mime, Clawlitzer, are the known PULSE Pokemon. None can Mega Evolve).
What if the PULSE System that Eve invented is (nowadays) literally a way of dragging out Mega Evolution's power from Pokemon who couldn't utilize said power naturally?

I just got to Ametrine recently. I beat Charlotte already and the PULSE Avalugg, and talked to Blake in the house that used to be Lumi and Eve's, then Shelly realized Heather was the Guardian Angel. Thanks.

Sorry to bug you guys, but it seems I found a bug. Shelly and Blake aren't showing up in the latter's apartment after I went there (when Shelly figured out Heather was the Guardian Angel for Ametrine).

Yeah, it's the right building. I spoke to her, she said that "Blake Whitaker is on the top floor". The elevator let me go to the "top floor"; it's just that neither of them is there. I even checked the other apartment building; nothing.

I could use some help here; it seems that I ran into a bug in Ametrine City that made it impossible to progress further in the game. Basically, when Shelly went up to Blake's apartment to talk to him, I followed her up there, but neither she or Blake were there.

After... recent events in E16, we discover that Ame is the Champion of Reborn.
Sadly, besides her Alolan Ninetails, we never get to see any of her teammates due to her death at Lin's hands.
At least, initially.
It is possible to find at least one of those other teammates. In the "rock pool" on Route 4 outside of Calcennon City in E16, the Absol that appears has been upgraded to LV 75. And it has Ame marked as its original trainer (at least, it did for me).
This thread was started to find out where any of Ame's other former teammates may be hiding, and who they are.

Good point, sorry. But we never saw what PULSE Camerupt was... so for all we know, it looked like its normal Mega form, just beefed up a bit. I just thought it was an interesting idea. I know it won't change anything, but it seemed interesting.
