Lotus Contiello, Countess Sybil Contiello Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth. Nearing Afternoon.
"I... Don't think I've ever eaten 'real' food. Not that I can remember anyways." She tapped her fingers as she tried her best to remember. Nothing came up so she instead thought of what it could taste like. Blood never really had a taste, she simply absorbed it. But it made her feel very good. Would food also make her feel like that? Now Lotus was getting curious, and wanted to try this food. But, only if she had permission. "Your grace, do you think I'll get to try some of this food at the meal? I don't know if it would be appropriate for a servant to eat with all of the lords of the castle." Lotus was starting to feel a bit scared, or was it nervous? The Countess had been allowing her all of these wonderful things. The last thing she wanted was to take a step in the wrong direction and abuse her kindness. Or worse... Disrespect the Countess.
But there was still so much more she wanted to learn! So much more she could know. "Your grace, who usually comes to these meals? You've spoken about Father Babble. Who else is invited?" Lotus didn't actually know, or care, much about the politics of the castle. After all, you don't need to know who rules the castle to make clothing. For all she cared, it could be Lord Heinrich and Lady Sybil ruling the castle but she knew that wasn't quite true. She lingered on the thought though, what would it be like if Lady Sybil sat on the throne room of Castle Dour? Lotus would she could do a fantastic job. In fact, the Contiello could probably bring the castle back to it's full glory. She believed this whole heartedly. She would ask the Countess, but it would be a very dangerous thing to ask. Maybe one day Lotus would get the chance to help the two climb to the throne room. It would be the least she could do to repay for their kindness up until now.
