I'm fine with arguments are long as there isn't any actual fighting. We are still in the Reborn forums so as long as we are all respectful and abide the rules, everything will be fine. In other news; if you interacted with the NPCs last chapter congratulations on supporting with them. Unless you really don't want to support who ever you talked to, in that case make sure to tell me A decision to make in character (Either way you know the upcoming maps will be affected by dumb weather and hard terrain) and more news to come in the next few days!

[Chapter 1 Clear!] Chapter 2: The Condition of Our Kingdom Year 1020, 4th of First Heat Travel map: The next day, preparations were already being made for departure. The Misguided Children supplied the group with everything they would need; casks for water, packs filled with provisions and food, medical supplies and fresh clothes. The small group was on the road. The eight who defeated Maris, the trio from the capital, and the ever swift Dash always scouting ahead for trouble. The boss recommended keeping the group small; "Travel small and fast; don't make many waves or the soldiers will be on you like sharks." Samwell had said. "Good winds! I guess that saying applies more to sailing than walking; ha ha!" Slowly the season started to change and the days started to become warmer. Traveling under the sun wasn't always the easiest of ordeals but so far it was doable. The road was mostly surrounded by forests with very few villages or inhabitants. Most of the people in these parts lived near the coast; that was how they made their living. One question that arose, specifically from Dash, was one that probably everyone was thinking. "Uh hi Miss Princess Saffron?" Meekly, Dash approached the girl during one of the breaks. "Where exactly are we going?" Saffron frowned at the use of 'Princess' but she let it slip by. "Do not worry Dash, just please trust me. Our destination will be for the good of everyone." Every time someone asked the Trio what this destination was they would avoid the question. 'You'll soon see', 'Please have faith', 'Do not trouble yourselves'. On the 4th a very troubled Saffron sat everyone down in a circle at midday. "My friends I am sorry, we've traveled for over a week now and no one knows where we are going. I am truly sorry for deceiving you like this." She bowed her head slightly. "In truth I don't even know where we are going. N-not to say that I am leading us astray or randomly!" Saffron quickly corrected herself. Taking a deep breath, she continued. "We have one of two destinations. For the nobles to even consider joining our cause, we are going to need bigger numbers. The Misguided Children won't do. So we must seek help from outside our Kingdom." Saffron nodded towards Feri, who gave a smile of anticipation. "As you know, Dragao is currently at war with the Kingdom of Caelum. Caelum is in a very strategic position and is very unlikely to lose the war; the armies of Dragao have to fight in hot desert terrain to which they are not used to. Caelum soldiers employ hit and run tactics, quickly wearing down Dragao soldiers. So it is no surprise that our Kingdom has only conquered a single city from the Caelum people. If we were to ask them for help, they might see it as a way to end this war for good." Feri seemed to be enjoying his speech; any chance to show his inner historian put him in a giddy mood. "However Caelum is a proud country filled with complicated traditions and the nobles are very easy to offend. One wrong move at their court and we could be labeled enemies instead of allies." "Not to mention how difficult crossing the desert will be for us." Keagan stepped in. "Traversing it during this time of year will be hard. We will probably have to cut through a few Dragao soldiers as well." Feri nodded in agreement. "Alternatively, we could go North instead to the Empire of Yukihana. The recently formed Empire has voiced their disgust at the new King and would probably aid us. They say that Emperor Takehiko is a simple man; but a kind and grounded one who will never hesitate to help anyone. Be they noble or small. The path up North would be longer, but at this time of year the cold shouldn't be too hard on us. The roads are filled with bandits and rogues so we won't avoid a fight there either. I am also not sure of the true size of the Yukihana army. Caelum's military is massive and they could surely spare us men; I am not so sure about our Northern neighbors." "With all these problems you can see why I have my head in a twist. Which is why I want us to make the decision; together. What do you think? I understand some of you are from Caelum and Yukihana. Would you like to return home?"

Something I should have actually done earlier before posting the strawpoll this is me being a derp and forgetting. "I've scouted ahead; the next map will be balanced out with spears, swords and axes. It will have magic users so watch out! The enemies look really scary too..." I won't scrap the votes so far though.

Aight friends, I said I'd move things along but there's still roleplaying going on. I am ready to jump to the next chapter though. In that same topic, when you join the next chapter you'll take three NPCs with you! I'll set up a strawpoll to vote for which one will go in. Anyone can vote on it even non players so the non players can screw over the players by picking Keagan! Won't that make it fun? You can vote more than once but please don't vote on all four. Feri explained, with a voice that fit right into a teacher. "There have been accounts of light magic refusing the call of non-faithful users and simply not working even when mimicking the same process as successful mages. Anima magic is quite easy to comprehend, while light and the more occult dark magic are much harder to grasp. They have a set of hidden rules that we mortals never quite understand."

I also haven't posted in a while so tonight I'll reply even if Terrin doesn't, so we get to move the conversation on a bit more. Tomorrow I'll start working on the next chapter's map so by the 13th we should be ready to move on. Thank you all for your wonderful patience!

Dash was taken aback by all of this sudden affection; so many people worrying about him. It seemed like such a strange feeling. Yet when he was hugged he returned the hug. "I promise Miss Luka. I'll run as fast as I can, faster than anyone just you watch. And thank you for caring so much. It means a lot to me. when you see Miss Maya tell her I said thank you as well okay?" "Hasn't Saffron informed you yet? Our journey will take us to-" Feri was interrupted by Klaren. As he introduced himself Feri tried to shake his hand and chuckled. "Nice to meet you Klaren, I am Feri. The light of the Goddess is a noble study in of itself and valued just as much as any work Terrin and I might accomplish. Since we are telling tales of our learning how did you start the path of magic Klaren?"

"I already talked to the Boss, he said it was okay! You'll need me for scouting, and I'll do better with you all than around here." He reached out and grabbed Maya's hand with both of his. "But I'll be careful. I promise. I'll protect you, Miss Luka, And Princess Saffron. I'll protect everyone! Hey you can even start calling me Big Bro Dash! I'll be there for you like you'll be there for me." "It's quite a story." He nodded in approval. "Thank you for helping our country even if you are from another Kingdom. I hope to grow with you, and your monk friend. And your knowledge of Caelum might become very useful in our journey to come."

Keagan met Rosalyva's hand with his own, in a strong handshake. He smiled. "That is impressive. I've only recently started fighting to survive; I can understand how much it changes you. I hope you'll practice with me again." "I'll never die. Because of the kids, that's why I will never die." He explained, completely confident in what he was saying. "I might be 14, but I am faster than anyone, I'll do my job on the battlefield and do it well. No one will ever catch me, just you watch!" "I'm an odd case; I'm a historian and a teacher first, a magic user second. I've been studying magic on the side as both a way to prepare myself for danger and as a sort of... Hobby. It took me a very long time to be able to call a single spirit; and even after 20 years of studying I don't consider myself even close to grasping the true nature of magic." Feri brought his gaze down at his tome, as if remembering the past through it. ​"But normal students who can afford seek out a teacher. It isn't very expensive, and many can join military service to learn the magical arts; if they have the aptitude for it of course."

Keagan chuckles. "I think you are like me. I don't say much with my words, but I tell tales with my axe. At your ready." Rosalyva is the first to act, scoring a hit on Keagan. He barely has the time to counter landing a blow on Rosalyva but getting hit for it. As Keagan readies himself for his own advance Rosalyva strikes at Keagan's arm making him drop his axe. Her next hit targets his legs making him fall. As he falls he outstretches a hand. "Yield. I yield." He admits, with a clearly sour look on his face. He raises himself up and dusts off his pants. "You are too fast to keep track of, I barely landed a blow. Who taught you to fight?" "I know all that!" He sighed. "But if I fight, they won't have to right?" Dash looked out at the kids who were still playing their ball game. "They look up to me, call me 'Big Bro'. They really are sweet kids and I need to protect them. I want to be strong like you Miss Maya, Miss Luka! You all protect us in your own ways even if you don't fight. But you are still out there helping everyone. So if I join you I can protect the kids in my own way as well!" With a gentle breeze and the gentle river it wasn't long until Saffron closed her eyes... Closing her eyes for a few moments lead to tiredness. "Zzzz..." Quickly Saffron fell asleep, snoring very softly.

We'll run it like this, no character skills, no defense with neither character wearing armor. Their weapons are the following: Sheathed sword: 1 RNG, 1 WT, 2 MT, 90 hit, 0 crt. Wooden Axe: 1 RNG, 2 WT, 3 MT, 80 hit, 0 crt. Post will be up soontm
