  6. Wooo happy birthday man, you turned 20. You know what new things you can do when you're 20? Not much but still it's an accomplishment to behold. I'm surprised you lasted this long surrounded by people like Miku or Kaito, Especially Kaito. Anyway Happy birthday again, have a great day. I'm sure Laura will get something for you too. Oh and be sure to act like a greedy ass king all day and get whatever you want, because that's how birthdays go. p.s I'm bad at making stuff like this. p.p.s What kind of stuff are you getting today? p.p.s.s I just felt like adding this last one for the heck of it.

  13. Might as well put my team up here for anybody to poke around at and put in feedback/opinions. This has been my team for about a year now give or take a few days and I haven't really changed anything about it because it works decently well. Primum (Gengar) (F) @ Focus Sash Trait: Levitate EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def) - Shadow Ball - Focus Blast - Icy Wind - Energy Ball Up first we have Gengar my lead. Focus Sashed, Max Speed and Special Attacking Gengar. No tricks with this Gengar here except for Icy wind. Typically I can base what's faster, what isn't and how to deal with it blah blah blah. Gengar can counter a variety of leads I encountered and can usually take out at least one Pokemon before biting the dust. Good thing about having Icy wind on it is that when facing another lead, Gengar can slow it down and I can then A. Stay in or B. Switch. Also, If I know for a fact the other player is going to switch, I can use Icy Wind and hinder whatever would be coming out, most of the time making it slower than Gengar. Solus (Weavile) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Pressure EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Ice Shard - Night Slash - Ice Punch - Brick Break Here we have Weavile. I don't know about other people but I like Weavile because it can hit pretty hard and it's faster than most other Pokemon. I used to run Aerial Ace on it instead of Ice Shard to deal damage to fighting types, but I swapped it out because of Mixed results. Besides, Priority Moves can sometimes change the outcome of the game. Thorn bush (Jolteon) (F) @ Choice Specs Trait: Volt Absorb EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Signal Beam - Hidden Power [Grass] This is the Mascot of my team I suppose and one of my favorite Pokemon. Jolteon is quick and packs a punch with Choice Specs, Boosting its Special Attack up to around 570 or so. This is my League Jolteon, so I have HP Grass on it instead of HP Ice. Some people don't expect how much damage this thing will do and it can catch them off guard. For example, I've fought teams with Heatran on it. The opponent would switch Heatran in because a Thunderbolt wouldn't be effective against it. Although because of the Stab boost along with the specs, the Thunderbolt would do over half allowing me to take out a possibly threatening Heatran. Sensuke (Scizor) (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Technician EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - U-turn - Bullet Punch - Superpower - Pursuit Scizor is the high Physical attacker, Max Attack while Banded. Not much to say here because it's a basic Scizor setup but I like it because of the Stab and Technician boost Bullet Punch gets. Starmie @ Focus Sash Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Recover - Scald - Psychic - Thunderbolt Starmie is the usual Spinner and Special Attacker. Once again this is my League Starmie so instead of Rapid Spin it has Recover. Because of Natural Cure I can send it in when I predict a Twave, Toxic, or Will-o-wisp. It can also hinder the other Pokemon with luck if Scald gets a burn. Mr.Sunshine (Dragonite) (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Multiscale EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def) - Outrage - Earthquake - ExtremeSpeed - Fire Punch Lastly there's Dragonite. Sometimes I substitute between Choice Scarf and Choice Band because of the change in attack. But this is a basic Dragonite. Multiscale of course because it's the better of the two abilities. With Choice Band the attack of Dragonite can reach around 600 or so, give or take based on the nature. But I can say that a 600 Attack Extremespeeding or Outraging Dragonite certainly hurts a lot. DonutFilling (Ditto) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Imposter Here's Ditto the 7th member of my League team because I don't really use legends. (The exception being my Hail team) Anyway most people know how useful Ditto can be, all you need to do is wait for the opponent to set up, then switch into this guy to get all the added bonuses and be faster than what was copied. I'm not the greatest at RMTs, so the descriptions might suck, but oh well. Leave opinions, feedback, and any ideas you want.

  15. There were ducks in my pool, I proceeded for 2 hours to attempt to catch the ducks. Finally I caught them and released them into my neighbor's yard. I am Mczipo, The Duck Catcher

  16. I'm stating my opinion on the matters, it doesn't matter who I agree with or not. While I did say that people didn't even like battling, I said that most people came here to hang out and talk which many of them do. I proceeded to say after that, that if they were in the mood they battle, which people also do. For the fourth point, I didn't say at all that you talked about bragging rights. Although, people brag all the time. I'm just saying what might happen as a result. You're also shying away from your original idea of Spirit. You changed to community which might change. The thing is, people don't like change. People like things they are used to, and that's a fact. If you change what the server is, then some of the community might leave, which would change the community.
  17. So from what I read, this topic is supposed to be about Reborn not having Spirit, but what I'm seeing mostly being discussed is tiers and things like that. You don't need tiers or anything like that to have spirit on Reborn. Reborn is already filled with spirited people, but you're focusing right now on spirit of battling. Many people on reborn didn't come here to battle, they came here just to talk to people or just liked the community and decided to stay. Besides, many people don't really even like battling in the first place, but I'm getting off topic. You say that people don't congratulate others after a victory in a tournament or something like that. Although, I see it all the time from other people. I see the winning message and a person immediately afterwords congratulating them, and the person who won thanks them. As for the other things, everybody else have pretty much said what needs to be said and I don't like beating a dead horse or commenting in general. 1. Reborn isn't primarily a laddering server (as has been stated previously). Most people just come here to hang out or talk with others, and if they're in the mood then they battle. I came here around half a year or more, so I don't consider myself an expert on reborn. From what I've heard it used to just be a group of people who knew each other and liked joking around with each other. Reborn gained popularity from its League which, while it is centered around battling, is mainly about the challenge and isn't in itself, laddering. If you see league matches, you see people cheering for one another and have congratulations after a victory, or some sort of "You'll get _____ next time!" There's always encouragement or "Spirit." 2. Timed and quota tournaments are both fine in their own respects. With quota the match won't start until a certain amount of participants, and timed can have an unlimited number of participants. Either way you still have people being left out because A. they missed the tourney because of time reasons, or B. People signed up before them and there were no spots left. So I guess, a way to solve this is make a quota tourney, and once the amount of joins have died down, just set the tournament amount down to the number of participants so it can start. 3. Tiers- what do I have to say about this. Everybody has their own opinions so deal with it. People will always have different ideas when concerning tiers and people will usually always have a problem with them. Although, most problems have an answer and can be justified. Reborn tiers are different from most concerning that other tiers usually just use the Smogon tiers. Reborn pretty much allows everything which is fine in my book because everything has a check or a balance. What we're stepping into here is going off course from the original idea though Spirit. 4. Tournament wins- Sure I guess this is a cool idea, but to me this sounds like it's used more for Bragging. Bragging defeats the soul purpose you strive for which is Spirit. When you brag, you put someone else in low spirits which is not what you want. Honestly, it's an idea I don't really have a problem with, but don't find it necessary. Honestly, from what I've seen, you've moved your focus away from spirit and more towards the structure of tournaments, etc. itself. But who am I to judge what others think. Will what you think, and think what you will, that's your opinion.
  18. Would love to play again!
