[IC] TotMV:G2: The Battered Hero
Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
After he had spoken with Venus, Edmond ambled along, absentmindedly eavesdropping on conversations. So Alexandria is not unique in her culture... He noted the hostilities developing between Eon and Solomon. I suppose this is unavoidable when so many beings are summoned from such diverse backgrounds. Some were bound to clash with others. He was vaguely aware of It that Embraces' request for food. Well, I for one am glad that someone's trying to keep that spider from eating us...Food. I wish I had some. -

To this new arrival, Edmond spoke, "You may have heard me announce myself earlier. I'm Edmond. A pleasure, I hope, to meet you, Venus. How precisely foes one become a certified artist? I'm unfamiliar with the concept." -

The presence at the center of the group was rather overwhelming. Turning away from the dragon, Edmond introduced himself to It That Embraces. "I'm Edmond Cooper. Should I just call you It That Embraces, or is there something shorter that you might prefer?" -

Edmond caught a swift movement out of the corner of his eye. He turned and saw the dragon, named Eon, violently slamming his tail into a chest. Huh. I must have missed that. "You might want to be careful! What if the object contained within is fragile?" The chest opened with a pop. Now how did that happen? Oh, a piece of paper? Well I suppose my warning was pointless then. "Nevermind that then." -

Edmond accepted the proffered hand, with only the slightest hesitation, knowing full-well that Alexandria had the power the reduce all the bones in his hand to a powder. Oops. I had no idea that we had a mage named Katsuo in our group. Huh. -

"I'm Edmond Cooper. I'm an engineer, and I come from a universe lacking the magic I have seen here. I'm glad to meet too." He stared in astonishment at the colossus of tungsten and steel, amazed at the intricacies in this persons armament and outfit. He had since turned his gaze away from the dragon and the ethereal humanoid, knowing that they were beyond his comprehension. -

These were the ones we heard fighting? Okay, I suppose I really shouldn't be surprised about a dragon... "Good afternoon, or evening or what-have-you!" Edmond called to the approaching group. -

[IC] TotMV:G2: The Battered Hero
Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
As Edmond continued down the narrow canyon (that's what I'm guessing it looks like), he listened in on the jumbled conversations around him. Most seemed to come from realities into which magic featured prominently, and was taken for granted. Sentient weapons? A red eyed...person who could reanimate corpses? and a man whose main power seemed to be to summon books? That at least was some comfort. The owners of these powers were many, and of varying skill and power. He looked up at the jagged rock faces on either side, and attempted to estimate the distance to the top. ((how tall are the walls of the passage?(or is it just a path?))) -

((I was unaware, there is no cave.)) While attempting the impossible feat of looking behind him and forward at the same time, he started off down the path towards the sounds of conflict. -

Edmond considered his options, and came to the conclusion that following the path would be ideal. He could put some distance between himself and the arachnid, and determine the origin of the ruckus. -
So, yeah, Mr. PassingThrough. Basically in battle, everyone has to put in their moves before Murdoc puts up the turn. There's not a real schedule (the last turn took two days) and basically if it's going to slowly people get pm'd or reminded on the discord. For general movement like moving to a new location outside of battle, I'm less sure how that works.

[IC] TotMV:G2: The Battered Hero
Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
Edmond slowly made his way to the cave entrance, all the while attempting to sort out his thoughts. He leaned against the rock face to the right of the cave, and surveyed the valley. He was amazed at how little damage the cliffs appeared to have taken. I would have expected some danger of falling rocks or similar after what that...presumably robot did. He was still rather astonished that none of the erratically launched missiles had harmed any member of their group. As the strange song wound to its close, Edmond carefully regarded the lone figure in the vicinity of the creatures which they had so recently killed. The half arachnid creature was staring back. Well, i suppose we're working together, but I can't say that isn't more disturbing to me than the creatures we just fought. Edmond felt a cold shiver run down his spine, and he turned to follow the grey-cloacked man who had entered the cave, glancing back every now and then. ((I must have missed something...I have no recollection of a cave)) -

"Oh thank goodness." He backed away from the injured man, relieved. Singing. Huh. Wait... is that the person who was attacking the creatures by flying towards them butt-first? Everyone here strikes me as odd, but...she may very well be the strangest. "Well, I'm rather glad that that's over with." A pang of hunger struck Edmond, and he realized that he hadn't eaten for at least fourteen hours according to his timeline. He checked through his pockets, but found nothing of substance. -

"Well done, I suppose. I'm not really sure what these things are...Has anyone else seen their like before?" Edmond was rather amazed that his improvised weapon had functioned so well. He hadn't even been attacked once.Speaking of which... He hurriedly made his way over to the man who had been struck down. He's severely wounded... can he even make it? "Do we have any form of medic? This man desperately needs help!" Edmond sat there staring. He could do nothing for this wounded man, this man whose life, and hope, and dreams were slowly ebbing away in front of him. He barely knew this man, but he had had enough of people dying in front of him. Please. ((He is dying right? If not, I'll edit this post )) -
Yeah, I've been fixing the list, and I just forgot to change the total number as I went along. Anyway, I've edited it again/

Would you marry a yandere Gardevoir for $1,000,000?
Strider replied to Tartar's topic in General Discussion
Hell no. Money does not make up for the chance that I could be partly responsible for the death of many people if I made a single mistake. -
Quick thing. I don't think you can have 37 HP with only 2 CON, and unless I missed something, none of your equipment grants you extra HP. Also, make sure to show whether your actions have been upgraded. Maybe put the later levels which you don't have in parentheses? Also, I can't figure out how much damage the Profaned Storm does.

Ok...How about some political philosophy? In Locke's Second Treatise of Government, he begins by talking about the initial state of nature in which humans exist. He even goes to say that in this state of perfect freedom, a sort of death penalty is justified. "This make it lawful for a man to kill a thief, who has not in the least hurt him, nor declared any design upon his life, any farther than, by use of force, so to get him in his power, as to take away his money, or what he pleases, from him; because using force, where he has no right, to get me into his power, let his pretence be what it will, I have no reason to suppose, that he, who would take away my liberty, would not, when he had me in his power, take away everything else." The arguments for a sort of death penalty are slightly different in the state of anarchy/perfect freedom. I don't really have an explicit question about this, but let me know what you think. Alright, this isn't getting anywhere. If anyone has a new suggestion, I'm fine with moving on.

Edmond Cooper-33/33 Healthy Edmond glanced around. In the midst of frantic battle, it seemed that a general consensus had been reached. None of the beasts had fallen, but all seemed badly wounded except one. Wait. There's only five? So...what happ--oh. That guy can fuse more than just inanimate objects. Interesting...Well, only thing to do is to target the last one that's still healthy. "We need to focus on the healthy one! You with the missiles! Can you use that big attack that hits them all again?" Edmond used Weld (1d4 damage and 2d4+INT added to next attack) "Also, someone needs to put some pressure on the fused one!" ((Maybe use secondary actions to target the fused beast?))
