I like the design a lot. The whole arrangement is aesthetically pleasing and logical. I do have, however, two gripes. Firstly, the sight doesn't remember me like the old one. I've chosen to have it remember me, but I get logged out whenever I exit a window. Also, and this isn't really that important, I really miss my 28 points of rep... On the whole, I like the update though. Why so few upvotes?! I need to support more people!!

Yeah Just make sure that they are reasonable. They can't have odd knowledge or strange wares or anything that doesn't really make sense for a shopkeeper in a small town.

[IC] TotMV:G2: The Battered Hero
Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
Edmond shifted against the wall, the butt of the confiscated halberd digging into his back. It briefly occurred to him that it might not be wise to sit with a sharpened blade between one's back and a wall. Not certain what to do with this implement, the likely perpetrator of innumerable atrocities, he placed it on the floor beneath his knees. He resumed his reading, but only for a moment, before he was once again distracted. A shadow, cast by the figure of the substantial android, had fallen across the ancient work gently resting on Edmond's lap. This slight disturbance, though not wholly impeding Edmond's perusal, somewhat diminished his enjoyment. He glanced up, and was not entirely surprised to see Alexandria staring down at the book, electronic eyes scrolling over the pages. "I presume you're capable of translating Latin, then? I don't mind you reading, but I am slightly inconvenienced by the shadow you're casting. Would you move just a few inches to the right, if you don't mind?" After posing his request, Edmond took a moment to glance around the room; something he hadn't yet done, due to the unforseen collision between a book and his shoulder. The rather large room appeared to constitute the entirety of the building. In the center was positioned a large rough-hewn oaken table, surrounded by similarly fashioned chairs. The table was devoid of anything except dust, a few brown stains, and the illumination from a window to the left of the door. Beyond this coarse piece of furniture, was what appeared to be a rather large antique computer terminal, making idle clicking noises intermittently. An unstable bookshelf leaned against the wall of the dwelling, with a collection of exotic volumes haphazardly placed on the shelves. As Edmond's eyes drifted over a large couch to his right, he wondered momentarily why he was sitting on the wooden floor. He considered moving, but, upon further deliberation, decided not to combat inertia, as he was reasonably comfortable where he was. A fly of some inscrutable nature droned as it drifted aimlessly about the room, first above the coarse grained table, then round the computer, and past the couch. In a fit of some suicidal or ignorant madness, the creature, perhaps growing bored with its explorations, launched an unprovoked attack at Edmond's head. It performed a series of complicated and dizzying acrobatics, rapidly circling Edmond's head, but other than annoyance, caused no real harm. Had this been any other day, any day on which Edmond had not been surrounded by a mob of conflicting personalities, any day on which he was not subject to his present flurry of emotions and apprehensions, this manic fly would likely have died an ignoble death, crushed unconsciously by the palm of Edmonds hand. Today, he halfheartedly swiped at the insect, sending it reeling. Perhaps belatedly realizing its mistake, or perhaps distracted by some odor or motion, the fly abrubtly flew off under the table, and did not reappear. To Edmond, this insect was a comfort, a relief from the undisciplined chaos, a small proof that the mundane still existed in this bizarre realm into which he had been thrust. The fly, little knowing the impact of its actions, served as a reminder to Edmond that he was not utterly lacking in knowledge of this world, regardless of how insignificant that knowledge might be. From this realization, Edmond's initial well-concealed agitation evaporated somewhat. The fly, of course having no such epiphany of its own, and no comprehension of what relief it had bestowed upon the engineer, busied itself with the digestion of some rather appetizing cruor from beneath the table. ((This is a Murdoc approved description of the rendezvous house.)) -

[IC] TotMV:G2: The Battered Hero
Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
Edmond sat calmly, presumably at the appointed meeting place, reading his book. He delicately turned the tenth page, careful not to cause any damage. ((Can you be a little more careful to explain your positions? See, Solomon went to the shop to get potions, and met Visrii there, I think. However, you continued to talk to Edmond, and Alexandria is now reading over Edmond's shoulder without stating that she returned to the rendezvous building. Just be more careful about this in the future.)) -
As far as the substance, it seems reasonable. However, you've been communicating with Edmond while he is in the building that Leon told us to meet at, and you are in a shop.

[IC] TotMV:G2: The Battered Hero
Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
"I was simply basing my expectations of the common knowledge that when people tell me to 'watch out', I'm in danger of being hit by something." Edmond relaxed, placed the ring back in his pocket, and sat down. He flipped open to the third page, and resumed his reading. -

"What? Why?" Edmond got to his feet swiftly, and, expecting a concussive rain of books, he pulled out the ring, planted his feet, and held it out as far as possible from his body. I don't think he has much control over it right now...Perhaps this will direct the books away from my head? "Ahem. Do you think you could be patient? You'll have your ring back when we begin our missions against the Heartless." -

Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
"No...Just the strangeness of finding a lost treasure like this is rather comparable to the shock of being transported to another world to fight Heartless creatures. From what I can tell, it's by Homer, though I don't know who translated it. However, I've never seen a copy of it." -

"Could you just delay that command for a few days? I'm kind of trying to read this book." Edmond was uncertain of what Solomon hoped to do by summoning more books, but he knew that it had the capacity to be painful. "Actually, this text kind of reminds me of real life right now." -

"We know. Both you and him have been allowed to keep any smaller weapons you may possess, as a display of trust. However, I think that many of our comrades would be quite capable of handling a man with a knife." -

"Oh. That would be me. I think that I told you earlier, but I'm going to be holding onto this for a little while, just to keep things civil." Edmond smiled in a friendly manner. ((here's what happened in case you missed it: As he exited, he heard Solomon shouting. "Calm down. I've got your ring, and it will be given back in due time. By that I mean very soon. We just have to prevent any bloodshed between you and the man you fought")) -
I made a mistake and this post is pointless. Anyway, have a good day.

[IC] TotMV:G2: The Battered Hero
Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
Edmond was sitting quietly in the seemingly empty house, minding his own business, when out of nowhere , or more precisely, out of an infinite library somewhere, a large tome appeared in midair. Edmond had just enough time to notice it and remove his head from harms way. However, it bounced off of his shoulder and fell to the floor, with the pages down. Edmond hurriedly snatched the book from the floor, hoping that there was no damage to this obviously ancient and priceless text. What...a book? So he can use his ring without contact... He looked at the cover. The Margites? I've never heard of that...it's in Latin. Edmond, though quite surprised, decided to take advantage of his fortune, and began to read. -

Edmond, having made the location of Solomon's ring known to him and received supplies, entered the appointed house. He saw no one inside, so he sat uncomfortably down to one side of the door to rest momentarily. -

"Huh. Thanks. I'll be just a moment. I'd like to see if the shops have any food. I appreciate the urgency of the situation, but I need sustenance." Edmond wandered into one of the shops, where he perused the wares available. "So do I just take these? It feels odd to receive without paying in cash..." As he was preparing to exit the store with his purchases, if they could be called that, the woman behind the counter quickly tossed a small vial of liquid. "What is this?" ......... "A potion? So it's some sort of tonic that will heal me?" ........ "Thank you again. You're very kind." Edmond exited the shop, chewing on a strip of some manner of dried meat. He had obtained ten strips of dried meat, a similar quantity of dried fruit, three loaves of brown bread, a vial of nitric acid, a similar sized vial of hydrochloric acid, water, and a pack to carry it all in. As he exited, he heard Solomon shouting. "Calm down. I've got your ring, and it will be given back in due time. By that I mean very soon. We just have to prevent any bloodshed between you and the man you fought" -

That was...not entirely unexpected, I suppose. It was a disturbing fact that Edmond was growing accustomed to these recurring clashes between the group. "I'm sorry, but I'm still slightly confused as to what you intend to have us do..." A moment later, he grimaced at Snow's words. It seemed likely that they weren't here simply to defend a solitary town, but rather to fight a threat much greater. If that were so, they would be witness to scenes of destruction and carnage of similar magnitude in the future. This would be nothing unusual. That doesn't mean we shouldn't care though... -

Strider replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
After the increase in profanities and proposed homocide, Edmond had withdrawn away from the quarreling group to join Leon near the front. He hoped that if the newcomer were not overwhelmed by so many at once, he might calm down a little. He's perfectly justifed in his anger towards Solomon, I suppose. However, his actions are thoughtless. He's purposely alienating the people who are trying to sympathize with him and help him. He started when he heard what Snow had said to their guide. Well that's completely different than how she acts around everyone else... "I'm willing to give my assistance, however little it may be deemed. So do you intend to have us find the source of the Heartless? Or is the dangerous task something else entirely?"
