    Week 3: Team: Feraligatr (Poseidon): lv30, Ice fang, leer, water gun, crunch. Butterfree (Elton John, have you ever noticed that butterfree's eyes look like a pair of sunglasses that Elton John would wear?): lv21, 252 SpAtk evs, max speed (timid, likes to run, 252 Speed EVs), gust, confusion, supersonic, stun spore. Nidorino (The Dude, 20 Reborn Rupees for whoever can guess what The Dude is off of), Adamant (would have 252 Atk EVs, but I messed up and battled a bunch of Unown, I have no idea how many SpAtk EVs he has), leer, peck, focus energy, double kick. Zubat is being trained now (Adamant, proud of its power) Weeks Events: I spent most of the week training Butterfree, Nidorino, and Zubat. In the process, I beat Bugsy and Whitney, who’s Miltank gave me very little trouble other than the fact that it carried lum berry which messed up Elton John’s para-fusion sweep and KO’d him with rollout, Nidorino cleaned up though.

    So, I didn't double check what EVs Unown drops, and I trained my Adamant Nidorino by battling them. Result: I have no idea how many SpAtk EVs my Nidoraino has now. To add insult to injury, the dumb juggler in violet city won't trade me the right berry to lower SpAtk. *sigh*

    This is the first time I have EV trained this early, but I figure if I'm going to level grind, I might as well do it right this time (it's an adamant, proud of its power zubat, I need a flying type, and I don't want to waste this guy).

    Alright, I haven't gotten to play much this week, so I've only just beat Bugsy. I have caught a Zubat, but I haven't started training him, since I'm waiting on the macho brace in order to EV train it. Currently searching for a Growlithe. More next week (It's spring break, so no midterms to study for).

    Flying, normal, and water make the 3 best monoteams. Flying- Paired with everything bar fighting. Plenty of strong flying types: Gyarados, Skarmory, Togekiss to name a few Normal- Huge pool of Pokemon to choose from (Ambipom, Slaking, Porygon2 and PorygonZ), learn variety of coverage moves Water- see above. Large pool of Pokemon, rain abuse

    I'd say that the easiest way to decide on what cards should be legal is to choose a video game and legalize all the cards that are in it, for example, 7 Trials to Glory: World Championship 2005 is (I think) the last video game before GX came out.

    Nah, one of my coworkers is about to quit (he has some better stories than mine), so since I'm leaving for Basic training in June, I'll probably wait for him to quit and quit with him.
