Kingler

Kingler does deserve more love - also the only water-type with Sheer Force. Zarek (Kingler) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Sheer Force EVs: 255 Def / 255 SAtk Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Scald - Ice Beam - AncientPower - Haze His mom (an altaria, of all things) is usually his teammate, so her Tailwind keeps him ahead of things somewhat (can be in singles/doubles/triples). Otherwise, he's a tad slow, but makes do. Haze is usually effective since few people even know what kingler does, and the rest of his moveset merely seeks to utilize Sheer Force with his Life Orb.
2. Zen

Qwilfish

Standard Swift Swim qwilfish on my teams. Qwilfish (M) @ Black Sludge Trait: Swift Swim EVs: 255 Atk / 76 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Waterfall - Poison Jab - Explosion - Destiny Bond In rain, that's fast enough to pull Destiny Bond on most targets. High attack makes it damn near impossible to survive any of its STAB attacks if they're super effective, barring obscenely high defenses or nullifying abilities.
3. Zen

Swanna

Pathetic defenses, but surprisingly effective in rain. Cossette (Swanna) (F) @ Wacan Berry Trait: Hydration EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Hurricane - Surf - Toxic - Roost Hydration keeps it from being blocked by any status problems, whereas Hurricane has lovely damaging effects with STAB. Toxic was merely to fill up space since the rest of the team was quite complete, and swanna herself was a filler.

Exeggutor

My ability-jamming exeggutor Exeggutor (M) @ Sitrus Berry Trait: Harvest EVs: 156 Def / 124 SAtk / 228 SDef Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd) - Giga Drain - Psychic - Hidden Power [Fire] - Worry Seed Well, this one was for a TR team, but you could alter the nature and stats spread if you wanted to use it for other purposes (such as in a sun team, maybe).
5. Zen

Golem

A non-Sturdy golem! Gimmicky and luck-reliant, but it's worked several times before Golem (M) @ BrightPowder Trait: Sand Veil EVs: 216 Atk / 36 Def / 255 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Rock Tomb - Earthquake - Protect - Substitute If you get the Substitute up, Rock Tomb can make it annoying for the opponent, since golem might actually lower their speed to the point that it can get in its attacks first.
6. Zen

Magcargo

Pretty self-explanatory. Magcargo (M) @ Air Balloon Trait: Flame Body EVs: 36 HP / 255 SAtk / 216 SDef Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Flamethrower - Will-O-Wisp - Stockpile - Recover A magcargo to be used in sand, that aims to disable stuff like excadrill. Also has the moveset as shown since I built it for a rock monotype team, and needed something fiery to bypass ferrothorn (backup was probopass with Magnet Pull and HP Fire).
7. Zen

Muk

Inspired by the muk Koga used back in the RBY days, which spammed Minimize in order to evade Muk (M) @ BrightPowder Trait: Sticky Hold EVs: 255 Atk / 196 Def / 56 SDef Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Gunk Shot - Shadow Sneak - Brick Break - Double Team Basically evading muk on some steroids, with some potential for dishing out some decent damage.
8. I use it for my TR. Klinklang @ Air Balloon Trait: Clear Body EVs: 255 Atk / 56 Def / 196 SDef Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd) - Gear Grind - Toxic - Protect - Trick Room Not meant to attack much - just to annoy. Gear Grind's to disable Sashes on things like those froslass or ninjask.
9. It's Benassi Some others I like - never did get around to strolling through the most popular lists, though... Just listened to those I found catchy Freefalling - Claudia Cazacu Rain - Inna Escape - DJ Kaycee Fallen Angel (Dolphin Club Trance Mix) - Teckno Traffic - Tiesto Skyway Avenue - We The Kings Let's Start A Riot! - Blood On The Dance Floor (not sure if it qualifies as techno/trance, but awesomely profane enough to be shared anyway) And since someone mentioned him Satisfaction - Benny Benassi
10. Sorry if this is thread-o-mancy, but trance/techno deserve some love :3 Full Focus - Armin Van Buuren Streamline - Newton Losing My Mind - F2F Rave Me - ATB & Paul Van Dyk Raver's Fantasy - DJ Manian Those are just off the top of my head - got a few more in my little song collection, but those would be nicer ones.
11. I prefer my non-setup ferrothorn, usually. Instead, I leave the spiking/SR to forretress. Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Iron Barbs EVs: 255 Def / 255 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Gyro Ball - Power Whip - Leech Seed - Thunder Wave I usually switch him in on something that he's immune to, followed by a Thunder Wave on whatever comes in. Then, I either Seed the target, or Whip it.
12.
Meanwhile back on topic, Very creative. Very gimmicky. That's its main flaw, though probably. I feel like there are much stronger strategies to use, that would work better in the same amount of set up. Though I have to say, it would make an interesting basis for a character...
Hmm, true - it has seen matches where I wished I had more Sunny Day/Sandstorm/Rain/Hail as a backup. Maybe I'll fine-tune it and make versions focused for the individual weather types Oho, this does sound like an interesting endeavor... ... what character? o3o

14. Oops, forgot to mention it - was one of my psychic teams. Have edited the original post for clarity.
15. Whenever I playtested my TR doubles teams, I am sure to run into at least one whimsicott/terrakion duo. You know, the one where whimsicott uses Beat Up to pimp terrakion's attack to its maximum? Since I'm somehow averse to using legendaries, here's my own terrakion ripoff EDIT - To clarify, this is for a psychic monotype team (probably a pattern is becoming noticeable for Reborn's resident dodrio's teams, hmm? XD). --- Girafarig (M) @ Focus Sash Trait: Inner Focus EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Psychic - Shadow Ball - Beat Up - Sucker Punch --- Gallade (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Justified EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Def Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Psycho Cut - Close Combat - Shadow Sneak - Trick Room --- Pretty straightforward, actually Gallade sets up the TR while taking the Beat Up from girafarig. Then, on the next turn, it's usually a butt-load of pain for the opposition. I've tried several different movesets for this gallade, and some more of them are as shown below: --- Gallade (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Justified EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Def Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Rock Slide - Fire Punch - ThunderPunch - Trick Room --- Gallade (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Justified EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Def Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Drain Punch - Fire Punch - ThunderPunch - Trick Room --- Gallade (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Steadfast EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Def Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Rock Slide - Ice Punch - Leaf Blade - Trick Room --- Gallade (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Justified EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Def Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Drain Punch - Psycho Cut - Night Slash - Trick Room
16.
Castform needs sandstorm form then. Or does it have one? And sandstorm weatherball is rock type then? I would have thought it would be ground type.
Never used a castform, so no idea about that... and the Sandstorm Weather Ball did OHKO a volcarona with one Quiver Dance behind it (with the super effective) - must be Rock.
17. Oh yes there is, sweetie That volcarona never knew what hit it XD
18. The movie might have been horrible, but this triples team has proved its mettle Those pansies who complain incessantly and unnecessarily (if and only if they do this, that is...) about weather teams would most likely suffer from acute heart failure if they went up against this one, though XD --- Whimsicott (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Prankster EVs: 255 Def / 255 SDef Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Leech Seed (can be switched out for Sleep Powder or Stun Spore if needed) - Taunt - Encore - Tailwind - Ludicolo (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Rain Dish EVs: 152 Def / 255 SAtk / 96 Spd Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Scald - Giga Drain - Ice Beam - Rain Dance - Roserade (M) @ Black Sludge Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 255 Def / 255 SAtk Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Sludge Bomb - Extrasensory - Weather Ball - Sunny Day - Victreebel (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Chlorophyll EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Spd Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef) - Leaf Blade - Sucker Punch - Weather Ball - Synthesis - Cacturne (M) @ Focus Sash (depends on matchup, can be other items) Trait: Sand Veil EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Sucker Punch - Seed Bomb - Sandstorm - Destiny Bond - Jumpluff (M) @ Yache Berry Trait: Chlorophyll EVs: 132 Def / 255 SAtk / 96 SDef / 24 Spd Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - SolarBeam - Sleep Powder - Rage Powder - Sunny Day --- Basically, a team built to utilize whimsicott's Tailwind as a means of doubling speed, followed by a weather trigger (ludicolo, roserade, jumpluff, cacturne). Then, the opposition can expect a barrage of Weather Balls from victreebel and roserade. Choice of sun, rain, or sand gives them three types of Balls to fling around, too. Otherwise, this triples team pretty much screws any weather-dependent team over since it can jam any weather that the opposition throws at it. Anything in sun/rain that relies on a Sash to survive its hits can be screwed by cacturne, who can also pull a nasty Destiny Bond on them if Tailwind is behind him. Another option you could consider is switching out ludicolo for abomasnow, and flinging ice Weather Balls at the opposition instead of water (would be an unorthodox yet fun method to kill sand teams that rely on Sashes a lot). I'm considering switching jumpluff out for abomasnow, to create a variant of the team where I get hail as another option (abomasnow of choice is as shown). --- Abomasnow (M) @ Chople Berry/Babiri Berry (depends on the matchup) Trait: Snow Warning EVs: 116 Def / 180 SAtk / 36 SDef / 176 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Blizzard - Giga Drain - Shadow Ball - Hidden Power [Fire]
19. @ Dragonz996 - Well, I didn'y use Brave metagross to allow for more SDef; it needs to survive one round of pounding, after all. @ Amethyst - I did use BP once, but people tended to guess what was coming when my espeon/ started using Calm Mind. And Mr. Mime's defenses are shit Hmm, Zack was actually the originator of this idea - he did it in triples. Something involving Skill Swap to pass Skill Link from his cloyster to ludicolo with Bullet Seed and a Life Orb. Can't remember if those experiments of his worked out that well, but he hasn't used that triples team in a while. Might be mistaken here, but Fen might've tried Swapping in Flash Fire onto his scizor before.
20. Reborn's resident dodrio.

21. Named after a comment that an opponent made after seeing this concept used for the first time Similar to what Elias used to do with that slaking/smeargle combo of his *shudder*, but potentially worse It's a two-pokemon combo, meant for doubles. --- Reuniclus @ Leftovers Ability: Magic Guard Nature: Relaxed Psyshock Shadow Ball Trick Room Skill Swap - Metagross @ Life Orb Ability: Clear Body Nature: Sassy Bullet Punch Brick Break Ice Punch Thunder Punch --- First turn, reuniclus opens the Trick Room, and metagross hits something unfortunate enough to get in his way. The next turn, reuniclus grants Magic Guard to metagross, who is then free to rampage with his Life Orb, minus the recoil damage (and I tested it, yes, he does apparently get the damage boost even without the recoil). What to do with the Clear Body reuniclus... well, that's up to you, really XD Or you could swap it out and back in, to further mess with the opponents if nothing worth swapping is in (once, managed to Swap a Prankster for Clear Body, LOL).
22. Magic Guard can be annoying at times, especially since the holders of those abilities typically resist special attacks or can raise their defenses (clefable, reuniclus, sigilyph). Even Toxic is useless against them, since well... it's Magic Guard. And the list goes on. So, I decided to make one of my Psychics capable of jamming an opponent's ability - great for those that rely on Rest, Hydration, etc. --- Exeggutor @ Sitrus Berry Ability: Harvest Nature: ??? (depends on whether I'm running him in a TR team or not - usually Bold or Relaxed) Giga Drain Psychic ??? (sometimes Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Toxic, or HP Fire, depending on the rest of the team) Worry Seed --- It's especially nice to jam the likes of sableye, whimsicott, and thundurus with XD Exeggutor's such a darling, really. The reason why I decided to do this instead of relying on Skill Swap was because I wanted to retain my Harvest, and not give my opponent a potentially valuable ability. So they just gain Insomnia. To date, the following abilities have fallen victim to this exeggutor - Prankster, Hydration, Immunity, Harvest, Magic Guard, Speed Boost, Sand Rush, Shadow Tag, Levitate, Poison Heal, Skill Link, Wonder Guard, Natural Cure, and Contrary.
23.
That set is pretty similar to the one listed here but if you want, you can reword that a bit and we'll add it in? I do very much like the prospect of killing off any one Pokemon on the opponent's team guaranteed <3
Oh, must have missed that one Can't recall seeing a bastiodon set in the Pokedex here... Yup, quite similar, but I subbed Protect for Rock Blast - was trying to offset bastiodon's low-ish attack by giving it multiple strikes.
24. Most of us probably know how nasty Metal Burst can be, but I think I've found a way to make it potentially nastier However, this tactic has rather limited applications beyond nullifying setup pokemon and making that little bit hurt somewhat more. Meet my Swiss army bastiodon Or rather, 'that metallic bastard' as someone on PO once nicknamed him. --- Bastiodon @ Red Card Ability: Sturdy Nature: Adamant Metal Burst Rock Blast Toxic Roar --- The concept is quite simple, really - send bastiodon in on something that won't pass up the opportunity to whack it, and let the Red Card send them out (hence the nullification of setups). Then, whatever ends up being sent out takes the pain from the Metal Burst (minimized EV's for both defenses, coupled with raised HP EV's, make it quite painful). The other three moves are there to deal with the likes of wobbuffet or whatever that would try to out-stall the Metal Bursts by using non-damaging moves. Alternatively, I've given him a Custap berry before, and let him use a prioritized Rock Blast or Toxic.
25. Zen

Greetings.

Ahaha, Mashew (or Neko, or Rave, or whatever he goes by now...) - yup, all three of us have talked to him before, and the only one among us who has a Facebook account added him How rude - we didn't introduce ourselves And there's three of us, eh. So maybe we'll get the other two to say something about the third. Zack - Self-professed to be lazy, but can somehow haul his ass out of the dorm to swim laps. No guesses what pokemon type he [s]has a fetish for[/s] likes the most. Ian - Could be a mom, since he calls almost everyone 'dearie' or 'darling'. Probably idolizes Radomus (or rather, the online personality that was Radomus). Fen - Leave him alone with his statistics and probability for best results. [s]Mechanical bastard that enjoyed high school dissections too much.[/s]
