  1. For the record I'm not even guilty, I just can't win with town anymore because of Cupid, despite still being town-sided. I can win with no one besides Cupid and Nicki.

Oh well. This game's outcome was decided by virtue of Drago's role existing, and mafia forgetting to submit a kill when it mattered, so bye mafia, we hardly knew thee.

    [Eliminate] Nicki

  2. Matt's lie about his own role is interesting. His "luck" with investigations makes a lot of sense now.

I admit I'm not really sure how mafia was supposed to win (in the traditional way, at least) with a role like this around. Even if he couldn't directly claim who was scum, there were ways around it and he demonstrated that perfectly.

Oh well. Nice shot Bean, I'm not sure why you did it but somehow that deprives mafia of a potential win condition.

I don't think it'll matter much to how the game's going to end, so I'd like to know who Cupid is?

  3. That's crazy luck, but apprently Drago really did find all mafia members. I'm town, so I can confirm that. Candy and Nicki have different alignments than me, which means they're scum, and so is Astra if he shares Nicki's alignment.

However, I'd like to spare Nicki for now. A third party, cupid-like role had the brilliant idea of pairing me with her, so if one of us dies so does the other. We could sacrifice me in order to get rid of her, but I'm the Doctor (you're welcome Drago) so maybe town would like to keep me around until all mafs are gone.

I'm fairly confident that claiming my role is okay, because mafia won't target me if it means losing one of their already dwindling members. Shoot me and you lose Nicki, folks.

Let's lynch Astra first. When he dies and flips maf, he confirms Nicki's guilt for all to see. In turn, that confirms my innocence, and my innocence confirms Candy's guilt. We still have the answers we need, and I don't die needlessly.

    [Eliminate] Astra

  4. Probably shooting myself in the foot by saying that, since coincidentally no bodi was discovered, but I was roleblocked last night (@ newt's question about anything weird happening to us).

So there ya go folks, there's at least one roleblocker in this game. Possibly two, if both town and mafia have one, which is often the case.

I don't really get the whole Drago vs Lykos situation. Looks like town infighting to me. Especially in Drago's case, he feels like one of the towniest players imo. Not sure about Lykos, pretty much neutral reads on him so far.

    [Eliminate] Smooth

because the whole Japanese speech ploy increasingly looks like an easy way to hide in plain sight and guarantee that not everyone is going to pay attention to his posts.

  5. Alright, you know what's great? Seals.

You know what's even better? Getting to know your local Seal!

Please ask our friend @Seal anything you'd like to know about him! This round of AMA will last for as long as someone feels like asking questions.

I'll start with a couple questions of my own. Hi Seal!

    1. Where are you from?

    2. You've been a member of our club for quite a while. How did you find it/ what drew you to it?

    3. What are your hobbies?

  6. If anyone had an info role and enough knowledge to warrant exposing themselves, me thinks they'd have done it already. Unless they're afk.

I don't encourage anyone who has a valuable role like that to take any risks.

Anyway, I'm going to trust my guts and hope for the best, probably not going to post again today because busy.

  7. 17 hours ago, Eviora said:

Mostly, I just felt like shooting him for voting to lynch me. =p

does this mean it coulda been me D=

Seriously tho, I guess that's metagaming but I would say I trust Evi's intentions on that one. Gunning someone down in retaliation for a lynch attempt is... well, something she would definitely do, especially if the person is slightly sus for whatever other reason.

Just a gut feeling, but Drago feels towny enough as well, as far as I can read.

Is it bullikos time? or should we bulli Candy, whose last minute vote yesterday was kinda strange? Talk, you two. Candy especially since she hasn't said anything yet

  8. A most pertinent question! Allow me to give you... The Answer™️

I found your Bean vote somewhat strange. It seemed uncharacteristic of you to vote someone off simply because they're too chaotic. Not having voted for anyone yet myself, I thought hey, why not pressure Evi!

I withdrew my vote when people started to bandwagon, because I didn't really want you out yet. But that bandwagon itself was an interesting phenomenon!

Please note that my slight suspicions against you still stand, but they're just that for now: slight.

On an unrelated note, Aldo's role reveal reads like a vanilla townie, which sucks because having vanilla townies is generally not great for us. I hope not too many of them are around (I still like you, vanilla friends, it's just that your role is useless).

  9. Bandwagons form so easily on D1, it's wonderful! But it's too early, yes, far too early... I must confirm something tonight first, dohoho.

The dragon speaks the truth. Let the dice god decide, between the great mastermind and the chaotic poultry. We must give all dark forces a fair chance of making it past this first day.

    [Unvote] Eviora

    [Abstain]

  10. Day 5

    Dear Diary.

This be me last entry. Unlike before, I ain't be writin' this in the comfort of me captain's cabin. I'm on a raft, driftin' away on the infinite ocean, with last faithful companions Hypurr, Seal and Nicki. That's right; the Betrayal is gone.

Last night was our doom, as I had thought it'd be. Only 9 o' me crewmen were left when it started, 4 of whom had entered the cursed sea king Davy Jones' service. When the mornin' came, only 7 o' dem were left, 4 of whom were cursed. Facing this majority, there was nothin' we could do. They cornered us and kept chantin', chantin'... until it appeared. The mighty kraken itself rose from the depths and swallowed me ship whole.

Nicki, Hypurr, Seal and meself barely had time to jump into the sea, mocked by the triumphant laughs of Eviora, Cherry, Amine, their leader Bean and, posthumously, Nano. It took only a few seconds, and it was all gone. We'd lost everything. They, on the other hand... had won.

May Calypso have mercy on our forsaken souls.

Aldo was killed. He was the Town-sided Starboard Gunner.

    Spoiler

    Starboard Gunner:

    - On even-numbered nights, you can visit and kill another player.

    - Sided with Town.

Nano was killed. He was a Third Party vanilla crewmate, formerly a Town-sided Deckhand (same as Newt's role). He still wins thanks to his faction's victory.

Bean emerges victorious. He was the Third Party Davy Jones, hidden as a regular sailor.

    Spoiler

    Davy Jones:

    - You must visit one person each night, recruiting them into your cursed crew.

    - A new recruit loses their previous role and alignment, becoming a vanilla crewman.

    - If you die, your entire crew dies with you.

    - You and your cursed crew win when you outnumber everyone else, summoning the mighty kraken to sink the ship.

Eviora emerges victorious. She was a Third Party vanilla crewmate, formerly the Mafia-sided Cook.

    Spoiler

    Cook:

    - You must visit a target every night, granting them a meal.

    - On odd nights, the meal is poisoned. On even nights, it's an ordinary, harmless meal.

    - A target poisoned on Night n will die at the end of Night n+1.

    - Sided with Mafia.

Cherry emerges victorious. She was a Third Party vanilla crewmate, formerly a Town-sided Deckhand.

Amine emerges victorious. He was a Third Party vanilla crewmate, formerly the Mafia-sided Parrot.

    Spoiler

    Captain Alibeard's Parrot:

    - You can only be lynched if all members of the Town vote for you.

    - If the vote against you is majority but not unanimous, no lynch happens.

    - Sided with Mafia.

Hypurr, Nicki and Seal, the last Town members, lose the game. Hypurr was the Quartermaster, the others were Deckhands.

    Spoiler

    Quartermaster:

    - Choose a player during the day. This player is roleblocked and untargettable for the next night.

    - Sided with Town.

Congratulations to L'Belle, Bean, Cherry, Eviora, Nano and Amine for winning the game! Thank you everyone for participating.

    Cap'n Alibeard, signing off.

  11. Night 4

'twas a rowdy day, accusations flung left and right, strange theories, threats and debates... all of that, on me ship? It's more common than ye think! Before we get to the meat of the matter tho, we do have a few things to take into consideration.

Firstly, ye sly Astra voters from last day haven't gotten punished yet, have ye? Well here it is! Aldo, Chicken and Amine each see their vote's value reduced by 1. Since all of them had the default value of 1, that means 0. That's right scallywags, today, I ain't listenin' to ye wacky opinions!

Secondly, Falirion's decided to make use of his Day 1 Challenge prize: a one-time double vote! His vote's value today is raised to 2!

With that outta the way, seems clear to me who ought to walk the plank and swim with the fishies! or... not? Fali and Aldo both have 3 votes to their names. Another tie, huh! Hold on for a sec, gotta consult the mermaids and tritons.

... done! Ye, that was fast.

    Spoiler

    Capture.PNG.40091ecc84439a10af09533d82a03b63.PNG

Cursed luck, matey. Falirion's been designated by the hands of fate to become one with the sea. You know, as a Cap'n who wants to keep his ship fer himself, can't say he's a bad target. Still, ah do wonder what's gonna happen now.

Falirion was lynched. He was the Mafia-sided Doctor.

    Spoiler

    Doctor:

    - You can visit one person every night, protecting them from attacks and curing poison (if applicable).

    - You cannot visit yourself.

    - You do not attend Mafia meetings.

    - If another mutineer visits you, their action fails and you are added to the mafia chat.

    - Sided with Mafia.

Night 4 begins now and lasts about 24h. If ye have somethin' to do, choose wisely. Yer actions could decide how everything's gonna end.

  12. Day 4

T'was a glum sunrise on me ship. The Betrayal's deck had bloodstains all over.

After yet another eventful night, two bodies were found: Drago, me oldest companion, the trusty First Mate of the ship, and Lykos, one o' dem lawful Gunners. It appears Drago was killed in his sleep, whereas Lykos, much like Helmsman Eric before him, had the bad idea of tryin' to run away from a pistol pointed at him. He might have been fast, but not fast enough.

Meanwhile, in the darkest hours of the night, a traitor waited for the Betrayal to pass near an island, then fled the ship alone on a raft. Cackling madly, he took a good chunk of our crew's riches and booty with him, having fulfilled his deathly mission. No one knows what became of him after that, but for sure, he had won this little game.

Dragoknight was killed. He was the Town-sided First Mate.

    Spoiler

    First Mate:

    - Your vote counts double.

    - You can choose to reveal yourself during a day phase. If you do, your vote counts triple.

    - Sided with Town.

LykosHand was killed. He was the Town-sided Port Gunner.

    Spoiler

    Port Gunner:

    - On odd-numbered nights, you can visit and kill another player.

    - Sided with Town.

L'Belle has fulfilled his win condition and left the game victorious. He was more than a regular sailor... he was the Third Party Pirate.

    Spoiler

    Pirate:

    - Select one player during the day.

    - The following night, you will be forced to visit them and must choose Scimitar, Rapier or Pistol.

    - Your target must choose between Sidestep, Chainmail and Backpedal.

    - Sidestep beats Rapier and Pistol, Chainmail beats Scimitar and Pistol, Backpedal beats Scimitar and Rapier.

    - If your target beats you, nothing happens. If they don't, you kill them.

    - You win if you manage to kill two players before the end of the game.

I coulda sworn I heard ominous chanting in the deepest recess of me ship, last night... I don't like this, mates. Whatever it is, we better put an end to it fast, lest monsters swallow me ship.

Day 4 begins and lasts 48h. Yer fate is in yer hands.

  13. Night 3

    *huff, huff*

    Defend yerselves, ye scurvy dogs!

    *huff, huff*

Phew. We managed ta repel the Queen's army, but no thanks to you, lazy pirates. Did I not say that ye had to stand united against our foes? Yet here ye all are, bickering 'bout whom to toss overboard as usual. Oh well, I guess it just be meanin', I gotta dish out some punishment once more. But first, let's see about this final vote Sir Newt left before kicking the ole bucket.

    [Eliminate] Falirion

Huh, interesting. We'll add that one to today's pile, although I doubt it'll change much to the result.

Speaking of today's pile o votes, looks like we have a tie! In that case, it's up to me, yer beloved Cap'n, to decide after consulting the sea's spirits.

    Spoiler

    Capture.PNG.1f625cf0715609aeb1462186e2c402c9.PNG

Cursed luck, matey. Ye ain't livin' up to yer title; off to the sharks with ye.

Astra was lynched. He was a regular sailor, but more than that, he was the Third Party Survivor.

    Spoiler

    Survivor:

    - You must visit one person each night.

    - If that person does not visit, you hide behind them and are untargettable for the night.

    - If your chosen person dies that night, you die as well.

    - You win if you are alive by the end of the game.

As per our daily challenge's rules, the majority ain't absolute and therefore ain't safe. Everyone who voted for Astra will receive a penalty.

Ye got 24h to send me yer night actions, if ye have any. As a reminder, posting and voting are mandatory. Repeated inactivity can and will result in a modkill. No loitering on me ship!

  14. Day 3

That was one strange night, it was. Lots of things happened, and me ship could've turned into a real bloodbath to be sure, but somehow, casualties were limited to one unfortunate soul. In a perhaps funny twist of events, he who called for Bok to walk the plank, sir Newtsie himself, was found dead in the mornin'. Poseidon have yer soul, matey.

Newt died. He was one of the regular sailors, a Town-sided Deckhand in fact.

    Spoiler

    Deckhand:

    - At any time, you can write and edit a message in a bottle.

    - The message can contain a vote AND single sentence.

    - When you die, your message in a bottle is read to all. The vote is kept secret until the end of the next day phase, when it takes effect.

    - Sided with Town.

    Here be his last will...

Wait. That's way longer than a single sentence! To hell with yer novel, we ain't havin' time for that. There be enough to deal with already!

His vote will still be counted at the end of the phase.

Coulda sworn I saw a tentacle writhe in the water... hm.

    Day 3 event: No quarters!

The damn British Navy is onto us! All hands on deck, scallywags! Defend yer ship!

Today, we can't afford to be divided. Yer task is for the absolute majority of living players to vote for the same crew member to be eliminated. Do that, and ye will be safe. Only the outliers will be punished.

If yer too divided, the vote result will be processed as normal, but all players who are part of the majority vote will receive a penalty (not necessarily the same type of penalty as for the first event).

    Good luck!

Day 3 lasts approximately 48h. Remember to post and vote.
