Setting: Ayumu’s Church of Yveltal Faith (In Capital City of Abstract) Introduction: After the establishment of Ayumu’s church with a newly built religion based on Yveltal, she has the title of being the ‘Angel’ of Yveltal, letting out her messages that she wants to spread Yveltal’s message of harbinging and omens. The tragedies of the future is spoken a lot in Ayumu’s church, but with the attitude and grace that comes with it--Ayumu herself wants to create miracles. In the church of Yveltal, a number of motivated, unique individuals were invited to partake in living in the dorms of Yveltal’s church. Ayumu, with the main characters of the story, have all come together to learn and teach one another about themselves. Even though not all of them have the faith of Yveltal, Ayumu wants to prove herself. So as Ayumu gives out her sermon of an incoming tragedy, Yveltal’s church has to face the conviction of those who don’t believe in the unorthodox faith of Yveltal. Most in the capital city believes that church is an evil and sinful work. Ayumu, however, expects that she could perform miracles in other mon’s lives. With her team of friends--they do work of miracles and help better themselves where the future of Abstract becomes acknowledged. Does this setting sounds good enough? Well, I had one run of the Pokemon RP back then, which was called 'Pokemon Catharsis', but sadly I couldn't complete it because I had to struggle with health related issues. Now that I'm better and healthy, I'm motivated to opening a new roleplaying topic where it's similar to the universe of Catharsis, but it's a non-official RP where it's mainly for side character interactions and character development rather than a plot-centered story. So there's no particular need for posting to always advance the story in this one, other than the fact that I'll set the playground and settings for us if this roleplaying idea is popular in interest check. The new region this roleplaying topic takes place in is called 'Abstract' and I'll release the story once I see that it gets enough attention from Reborn community. If there's not much of anyone that's interested, then I might as well not start it. It's not really a plot-driven story because I want to hone my roleplaying GM abilities and give everyone good experience. I made a lot of mistakes in my old RP of Catharsis, but in this one I'm making it better and allowing everyone the chance to make changes and new ideas to the story. Heartbroken Ayumu lives a life where she had to challenge against the hatred of society and peers, from her ex-best friend betraying her. And through her own choice, she decides to call herself… Ayumu (Alter Meowstic-Female). As she grows up, she moves to rich cities of Xainying and Qinzou, two steampunk cities in Abstract--she then learns how to control the hatred that exists in secrecy, through her team ‘Heartbreakers’. She learned how to write realities, and change the lives of others by controlling hatred--and thus learning how to change everything… by the heart of it all. Around a century later after Event #7 (Avalon's Presence) of the original Catharsis story, the world has drastically changed after what had happened. Back then, there was a time where Avalon was missing and the region was suffering from chaos. However, later on, a new government has been established in Catharsis to bring everything together. Now, Catharsis face a historic breakthrough of evolving technology and alchemy. Everything about Catharsis is advanced now... however, the business corporations, are overruling Catharsis with competition and money. Strict procedures developed underway and the society is heavily controlled by a mysterious hand of the shadows. Catharsis is now under heavy control, rather than chaos. Everyone is living in fear of life, rather than fear of death. In response to this, the mons of Catharsis are trying their best to form together a movement, to revolt against the government and corporations. Everyone is building themselves around the powers of alchemy, legendaries and refinery mega-evolution, for what purpose? To create an Excalibur Revolution, the breakthrough of a civil war happening right at the heart of Catharsis. Alchemic Pendants - Alchemic tools that have a unique function. ~ Okay, the reason why I made this topic is because I've recovered from an event in my life. The original Pokemon Catharsis isn't going to continue for now because most of the roleplayers there are busy with real life now. But I'm creating this topic for the sake of finding new members who are willingly to roleplay in the future of Catharsis, which takes place around 100 years after Event #7 of Neo-Catharsis. But I'll continue to update this topic frequently to add more and more ideas to Neo-Catharsis, as it's a lot richer than the previous Catharsis. @Yash Thanks Yash for your Zee Pa profile. Okay, the In-Character topic was launched a while ago and made decent progress. I'll say that Sign-Ups will be reopened at Event #2, which I don't know when that'll happen. We have a total of eleven roleplayers for Event #1. Everyone read the rules in the first page of this topic, and I'll update it more as we go later on. I hope everyone has fun with this roleplay. Go here for the IC topic: EDIT: Pay attention to this rule: #6. We'll volunteer to take our turn in this RP on Discord, and everyone will fill up the post until we finish that part of the scene of the event. And then we'll move with the plot being advanced forward when everyone is ready and contributed their share to each scene of the event.

@DigitalAmber We'll include everyone in one campaign, then if Elysian feels like it, he could split off the group in Event #2. I agree that this RP has a lot of people, but I want to make it work for Event #1 where everyone is together. @Myrmidon Divergent Thanks for the profile.

@Anstane Alright, thanks for your submission! I'm glad now that I'm not roleplaying the only female character. @PigeonOfAstora I'll reserve a spot for you then. You can post your character before I start the RP. It has to be done before the start of the RP (which can happen in the afternoon of EST). Or you'll have to wait until the next event. Okay, I'm informing everyone the Sign-Ups are currently closed. But those who posted before this post have a chance in submitting their character before the start of the RP. The start of the RP is likely going to happen whenever the Discord chat is crowding with people. I'll post the IC topic by then. Then I'll have to decide the order of turns that people will have in the RP. Everyone will post turn after turn, so we can have a healthy roleplaying environment. And if you're not on, likely we'll move ahead of you in the RP. But being active means you have the advantage of being part of this RP.

@DigitalAmber @Dark Rogue Yeah, Dark Rogue is right. Alter Pokemon can be any typing, not just Holy. I didn't make it clear in the bullet points in the first post. They're basically Delta Pokemon but with a different name, Alter. EDIT: Okay, I've been discussing the ideas in the Pokemon Catharsis channel, come here to join it: https://discord.gg/NC4mhJ4 Basically, we gone over that for the sake of roleplaying, it should have some realistic plot devices such as Pokemon having pouches or some way to carry their belongings. I'm suggesting that every character should wear belts that have small pouches. In these pouches, they keep their currency and tools, and their currency -- PokeCoins. And what do they need currency for? For buying stuff, even though there's a lot of crime. The region isn't in total chaos where there's crime left and right, but there's a lot of corruption going on and an imbalance between strong and weak Pokemon. Anymore ideas would help the story.

@Cronos5010 Yeah, it's still open. I'm glad this topic has accrued a lot of interests. But I also need your Discord because we need to stay in touch, I've created a small direct message group chat for this RP. If people join and they're not active, I'm not sure how I can proceed the story including them but to just leave them behind. I wouldn't want that. So it'd be best if I know everyone is available to stay up-to-date on the In-Character topic.

@DemICE Well, I'll do that alongside of roleplaying with Minish and Elysian. They need to be roleplaying in the story in order for it to progress. Especially Elysian the Bisharp. I just have two roles, pinpointing down the story and roleplaying with the other characters. The characters are supposed to mold the story, the story itself isn't concrete. I've played other RPs that had the GMs roleplay themselves, so it's not so bad if I can do it right. I just hope this RP doesn't get too complicated, lol.

@DemICE What do you mean by the roles of the GMs? Do you mean the roles of moderating the whole sequence of events in the RP? Because I have that covered. I'm going to moderate it, and Tatsuya (PhoenixKnight545) will help me if I need help moderating.

My friend Chaotyx isn't joining us, so that makes about five members of this roleplaying. With four main profiles complete. @Dark Rogue Can you submit your profile of your Garchomp (Gible)? Everyone, give me your Discord so I can add you all to the Discord chat group. It's going to be pretty tough without Chaotyx since I'm familiar with his roleplaying ability, and he's good at it. But if you guys are able to contribute well enough to the plot, then I'll be happy to participate in this roleplay with all of you. I'm still developing the bulk of the plot devices of the story, but I believe we're close to starting the RP. So I'll now change this topic to Sign-Ups/OOC rather than Interest Check.

@uberle What typing is Alter Poliwrath? Well, your character Zed will be hired along with everyone else's character under the secret order of Rebirth of Providence, led by Elysian the Bisharp. I'm not sure if you want to make him part of the order as a part-time agent, or a full-time agent. Since he's already an employee of an organization, it would be nice if he could also be part of this secret order. Basically, I'm trying to make everyone join an order which will involve everyone working together. Also, don't be afraid of my Minish. She won't hurt or act racist against your character. I changed her 'dislike' to 'distrust' Fire-types because it makes more sense that she tends to shy away from Fire-types rather than getting up all on their face. She won't bother Zed, but will have to learn how to cooperate with everyone involved in the order to fulfill the objectives and mission that Elysian laid out. So far I'm typing out the lore and secrets that will be uncovered in the story in a document. I won't be sharing the document, but I will reveal some information that could prove to be useful. Such as this: No one in the story will know what Pokemon trainers or humans are. They've never been exposed to them, so they have no clue. And there's a huge reason why this is because. That'll be revealed in the story. Also, to make this easier, what's everyone's Discord? My Discord is Spi#2561. It'd be nice if we could have a chat together, in planning what we should do for Catharsis's story.

@uberle Okay, just be careful not to make your character too powerful in plot. I'm not including legendaries in this roleplay, so the mention of Arceus or other legendaries should be best mentioned rather than roleplayed. They should have no relation to Catharsis's history, because Avalon is basically the 'legendary' of the region. I'm fine with it relating to the character's beliefs and such, but be careful not to bleed into the lore of Catharsis. What typing is Alter Poliwrath btw? Avalon the Alter Salamence's profile: And Elysian the Bisharp's profile: I'll update these profiles if new ideas come to me and my friends. And the character Elysian is Tatsuya's idea.

I believe what I'm going to do for the roleplaying is that I'll divide the storyline into "Events" and each event will have a certain premise and plot to it. We'll roleplay our characters in each event and progress in the story until the event is finally finished. The reason why I'm doing this is because it's a lot better than roleplaying all linear and having no direction with each event in the story. Setting down each event, and having room for people to think about what they do in each event will allow them to work with their characters. This also helps especially with new role players who don't know what's happening in the story, and all they have to do is read the event to progress in the story. I think the first event will be Elysian the Bisharp (my friend character's teacher) starting up a new community which roleplayers can join and progress in discovering the mysteries of Catharsis all together. All of our characters will be in one place, in an assembly of Pokemon where Elysian gives his speech. I think that's a good way to start it. But I'll need to discuss with my friends in planning ahead of what would go down in Catharsis and how we're going to play around with the story. I'll be writing the profile of Elysian and Avalon soon since they're important to the story. If you guys want to contribute in making important characters who are not mained by yourselves, go ahead and share. Non-playable characters can be controlled by others, to help progress in the plot.

Lmao I was testing this RP out on my forums and it was so edgy. I'm going to try to tone down the "RAH DARKNESS" theme to it. I plan to talk to my friend tonight in making the RP more proper, with a balance of light and darkness. So right now the RP isn't ready yet, I still need to formulate it. @uberle Cool, uberle, that's a nice character. Is Zed a normal Typhlosion that is able to bless himself temporarily through Arceus's Holy typing? @DigitalAmber You're not late. You're very early. I still need to formulate my RP's idea a bit more, and considering more people are joining this RP, we need to organize everyone in the proper placement of the plot. My main focus right now is to tone down the darkness of my character, because dark characters tend to contribute to the overall theme of the RP. Luckily there's characters like your Sirius or my friend's Greninja that makes this RP a lot less dark. Thanks for the submission. Really good character you made. EDIT: I'm changing my Minish the Mawile profile a bit more, so she's better off to be a character with a lot of potential, rather than having all of her potential fulfilled in one background.
