    Tried dark souls, i dont really like all the backtracking.

      every Dark Souls has Backtracking

      in DS2 and 3 you have to go to your 'homebase' ('Majula' and 'Firelink Shrine' respectiveley) and talk to an NPC to level up instead of doing it just at any given Bonfire
