Keep in mind that if you want to be spamming EQ then you will want to lead with a flying type/levitator as well just so you don't faint your own team as well. -
Yes but there are good status inducers in the game as well, like Ampharos which is also getting the axe in V6.

What version are you playing on? If you aren't playing on 5.5 then update to 5.5 because there was a girl in one of the apartments in Gearen who would crash the game when you talked to her. She was promptly removed in the latest update.

There are two gems. The second gem is in Amethyst cave, just keep looking. It's not that hard to find.

Basically it's a really fast status inducer/support for your team. You send it out and cripple whatever threat is out there and then switch to your strongest Pokemon and commence sweep. Mind you it's not that OP.
