  1. [[To: Setsuna]] Will thought for a moment. "Hmm... I believe it was--no wait." He raised his index finger in the air in an "ah-ha!" moment and then proceeded to pull his phone out of his pocket. He tapped on the screen a few times and seemed to be searching intently for something. "Found it. He sent me the information earlier. It just sort of slipped my mind is all. Anyway, his room is 107, so that should be on the first floor, closer to the entrance on the side of The Bootleg." He quickly scribbled down the number on a scrap piece of paper and handed it to her. "Here, in case you forget. Can I help you with anything else?" Will looked at her warmly in inquiry.
  2. Well damn! It was worth a shot!
  3. Yeah I think the male/female split sounds cooler but I don't know if it's practical
  4. Anyway, I was not aware that the Russian mascot was also an eagle. Which is cool! If only we could have two variations of the Braviary Shiny......
  5. [[To: Setsuna]] Will simply smiled at the girl while she attempted to get her point across. "...by a certain teacher." At this comment, he faltered for a split second. The janitor played it off by laughing rather loudly and saying, "Aha, miss, you have no need to be nervous in front of me! I am but a simple janitor! Though... this certain teacher of yours seems to be into everything now huh..." The last sentence Will spoke was nothing more than a mutter to himself, though Setsuna could probably hear it. Not that it mattered much; it was just him thinking aloud. Now that he had finished commenting on that teacher bit, Will finally got a chance to process the rest of what the girl had said. "Illegal duels? Can't say I've been in the loop about anything like that. Honestly, the whole concept of 'illegal duels' seems silly, doesn't it?" The question was, of course, hypothetical. However, one look into Setsuna's eyes told Will that she was completely serious, and given his knowledge of that particular woman's track record, this girl in front of him might be onto some lead after all. "Ancient Egypt eh...?" Will's voice trailed off and his gaze went far. "Ah yes, I remember my days in that country. Fascinating place, really. I know all about the myths and legends of ancient Egyptian culture as well. But. How they would tie to these so-called 'illegal duels' I'm not sure." The man's eyes returned focus on Setsuna and he raised his eyebrows in enthusiasm. "Though I'm sure that doesn't help you at all! Haha, I guess I was mainly talking to myself there." He scratched his head in slight embarrassment as he tended to do. "You should be interested to hear that I actually have heard of them at least. The duels, that is. I heard the same rumor as you---that they were tied to ancient Egyptian mythology. I was surprised to hear that, since I felt like I of all people should know something like that. Nevertheless, I did have an old friend who has traveled all over Egypt like me. He was my father's pupil, but since he was my age, we became fast friends. If anyone would know about this rumor, it'd be him. Conveniently, I got word that he was in town! He was supposed to be staying at the Heart Hotel, which is just across the street from The Bootleg, but I didn't find him when I went to his room. Too bad, I really did want to ask him some questions. Well anyway, if you want to find him, his name's Ike Johnson. Maybe you'll catch him when he's actually at his hotel room, so I'd suggest trying there first just in case." Will sighed a sigh of contentment. He was clearly stuck on reminiscing about his childhood days. There probably wasn't much more anyone could get out of him anymore. Though he did snap back to reality for a moment to address Setsuna once more. "Oh! And, if you happen to find him, tell him Will said hi!"
  6. I did reference Arial in the hall if she wants to interact but I didn't say anything directly. Also I noticed Dark came in just after I got whooped by bote on DN
  7. [[To: Setsuna]] Will had just about finished up with his trash rounds by the time the bell rang. "Oh, is it that time already? I'll have to check in on that girl to see if she's still in the supply room." He muttered to himself. The janitor made his way back to class 2-2's hallway and noticed something strange. Many students were walking out of class as they day was over, including one heading out with her D-pad unfolding as she walked. There was also a girl at the door to the supply room, knocking on it. If Blair was still inside, she should know that Will had his own key, so opening the door is probably not a good idea. Nevertheless, Will wondered why this girl was there. Did she find out about Blair in some way? "No," He shrugged off the thought, "That's certainly me thinking too far." Will approached the girl with a friendly face and asked, "Hello! Can I help you with anything?" Upon closer inspection, he recognized her as another student of class 2-2. [[Right place, don't worry!]]
  8. Oh man Tomas please make a Huge Revolution! deck for a character because I love the concept of that. And I assume Mordoc and I were able to wrap up before the new topic.
  9. [[To: Blair]] Will considered the thought. He shrugged, "Well, I suppose it couldn't hurt." He walked over to the main part of the room where his things were, where a keyring hung on a pegboard rack. Will himself had every key he needed on his keycard, save the one for the new staff room he had previously been in, since every door was updated to have a digital scanner. But they still had their old keyhole locks from their installation time. The keyring had most of the keys for the rooms that existed at the time of the building's construction. The janitor plucked the key for the supply room from the ring and went back to Blair. He held it out to her. "Here. Just don't get caught coming in here. I'm the only one that ever comes in here so once you get in you should be safe." He stretched. Will felt a nice kind of feeling about this situation. "Anyway, I think I should get back to my duties. I presume you'll be safe in here. Just don't lose track of time and miss the bell for school getting out. I am a bit obligated to drop by and check if you're still here by then." Even though he was a good rule-follower, he felt a twinge of excitement about letting a student break the rules, as if he had some dark secret to keep.
  10. Maybe adding more skin color to the face (not the arms because of the gloves) will help tie in the look, and maybe even make the eyes more natural.
  11. but... but... it's so... messy! No, why. Ahh get that image out of my head. Who needs to overlay tuners when you have Armory Arm anyway
  12. ...What about when you fight Serra? I prefer Ice Shard to Ice Fang but eh Also important to note is that you can get those Strengthened Icy Winds with Mist, not just Misty Terrain. And I'm pretty sure Scoops will learn that at some point.
  13. Just realized my deck could summon Queen of the Night really easily, but it's so out of theme that I'd feel uncomfortable using it. And yeah, if it's meant to be with the princesses thematically, why is it so not worth it? Ohhhh well. Maybe Copy Plant can have some weird tricks even if it's a Tuner.
  14. [[To: Blair, is now in supply room]] Will gave a humble bow. "As you wish." He then led her out of the cafeteria and back to the hallway of class 2-2. Though situated on the same hall as the girl's class, it was still out of the way and closer to the opposite end. He took out his keycard and pressed it to the digital lock on the door. With a click, it opened. "Here we are. I would normally warn people about messing with things they don't know about, but I get the feeling that won't be necessary for you." He stepped inside the room and turned on the light. Immediately inside the door was a small area with common tools and equipment on the walls. These were the things that Will used most often, and as such would only have to pop in and grab them if he needed to. The main area of the room was taken up by many rows of shelves containing all sorts of materials and other tools that were not used as often. He figured this is where Blair would find most of the things she needed. More interestingly, however, was an open workspace at the back of the room with a workbench, grinder, drill press, and other semi-industrial mechanisms. Will never understood why they were here in the first place, since it wasn't built to be a shop as far as he knew, but he never had to use them anyway so he didn't bother. "And you can browse through all you like. Even use that workspace in the back if you want. Most of the stuff in here isn't for immediate use; I keep all those in the front. So I figure it won't be too harmful to have someone use some parts." Will said after the tour was complete.
  15. Yeah I kinda wanted to go through the thing with Blair before the topic wrapped up. I think we can squeeze it in though, and it shouldn't be a problem considering Murdoc's comment about packing her bag in case she doesn't make it back to class
  16. At the Raleigh regional for FRC and one of the robots is apparently named Garbodor. I think I heard that right.

  17. [[To: Blair]] She smiled. The girl smiled. Will had never seen that before. He suddenly felt protective of this rare individual. "Blair? Lovely name you got there. My name's Will Van Dine... Well, my first name is actually Willem, but I prefer Will." He looked up and scratched his head in minor embarrassment, then sighed shortly and looked at her again. "Interesting. I think there are plenty of duel disk-related items in there. Since this whole city is practically built on the game." Will made a half-turn in preparation to depart and lead the way for Blair. [[Depending on the situation, follow this spoiler]]
  18. Well oh. When you say back to your computer, do you mean that when you get back from the trip? That might just trap Murdoc in place again, no? In that case, I guess it's up to him for what he wants to do. My suggestion would be to let what I'm doing in interacting with him to come first, considering you're still gone to ask permission to battle in the garden maybe?
  19. [[To: Blair]] "I see. So you're just waiting here." Will smiled. It wasn't as bad as he thought. But she was an interesting girl, to say the least. Her interest in machines gave off an aura that Will had not yet encountered in a person. He heard her question, and settled his gaze upon the contraption she had. "Hm. Spare parts, eh? Well, I just put my toolbox back but if you're going to be waiting here a while, I could take you to the supply room and you can dig around for yourself. There's plenty of interesting bits and pieces in there." He paused. "Technically students shouldn't be in there but... I think we can let it slide. Your teachers have gone off for the moment anyway, and lunch is a while longer." He looked around the cafeteria. Lunch wasn't over yet, indeed. The trash could wait until it was. He decided to help the girl out for now, as it was an interesting diversion. Will took a step back and grinned his friendly smile at her in wait of a response.
  20. Posting only 3 hours since my last because 1.) Murdoc has been sitting idle for a bit and 2.) I can post when I wake up but after that I'll be gone for a good chunk of the day so I want to get stuff in.
  21. Pshhh, God would not have fallen off. Who do you think you're talking about? Gotta get some fanart rolling through here. I might try my hand at the squad when I get home next week.
  22. [[To: Blair, is now in the cafeteria]] Will actually reached into the recycling bin to try to take a look at this singular piece of paper that someone decided to scrap. However, he got a strange feeling when he took it out and, before looking at it, set it on the table and exclaimed aloud, though to himself, "Ah right, I forgot that I have other rounds to do. This room is fine for now, so I can't waste time lingering." And with that, he left, the paper still atop the table and the apple core still in the trash. Since the auditorium was so close to the cafeteria, Will figured he'd head in there to prepare for the post-lunch cleanup. Since most of the students had already ordered lunch by now, the kitchen was wrapping things up, so he would go there first to see if he could take their trash. Will was surprised, though, when he noticed that girl from before. He was walking towards the kitchen when he passed her and gave a warm smile. "Hey, you sure look excited, just sitting there! Aha, weren't you going to duel someone, though?" He actually was curious, since just before he had been glad to see her socializing more. And now that didn't go through, apparently. Perhaps it really was a fault of his to worry about the students so much.
  23. I'll try and start an interaction then... without it being creepy, hmm.
