Pokémon remains to this day, at heart, a franchise mainly aimed at children. For that reason, I'm sceptical about seeing a story more mature than what they've already done. It would be nice for the older fans, but we must remember Nintendo is a company, and companies are usually driven by profit. That's not to say Nintendo has a particularly bad reputation for its customers, per se, especially compared to others, but they still will want to try to ensure the best sales for their games, especially since there have been close calls in the past like with the 3DS sales. For this reason, they won't want to limit their target audience with an overly mature story.

I don't have any solid beliefs on this matter, mainly due to, as I perceive it, the sheer inability to prove one idea as more likely than the other. I'm not religious, I don't live my life under the belief that a god or gods exist, but I'll keep some semblance of agnosticism here. I can only conceive of three possibilities for what might happen after death. Those being: - heaven and hell, or an equivalent of them, given eternal paradise or suffering - reincarnation, be it human, animal, something else? If so, the cycle of reincarnation may itself be eternal. If it isn't, what happens at the end? I don't know. Ascension to a higher state of being? Nothing? - Eternal nothingness right off the bat. Nothing fancy, just an eternal nonbeing. Perhaps there is something else beyond our comprehension. Perhaps I'm just not thinking hard enough. Do you think it is wise for us to attempt to make contact with extraterrestrial beings?

I was looking through the trailer again, and I noticed a couple of things regarding battles. First of all, we have trainers still visible during the battle. Now I can't be sure that this is certain, since it could be that Litten was just sent out, but I would guess as such. Secondly, is it just me or is Litten's shadow more pronounced than they are in Gen 6? They were generally more confined to the space beneath the Pokemon, if my memory is correct. Unfortunately, in the next shot I noticed something horribly wrong. The shadows of Litten and Rowlet are facing in blatantly different directions. I get that the shadow in front of Rowlet could be slightly weird looking, but... Oh well. EDIT: another thing I somehow forgot to mention was the lack of terrain circles at the Pokemon's feet! Could they have been forever abolished?

One thing I found out is that, apparently in Hawaii, 'cousin' is used as a colloquial form of address for a friend. It could mean the guy from the start of the trailer (Kukui, was he?) might not literally be your cousin.

Bear in mind that ORAS was PEGI 7, for reasons of which I'm not certain.
