So I've been thinking of this for a couple of days now and I thought where better to share it than here?
So heres the theory: Absol is the epitome of edginess.
Now lets get all the obvious mumbo jumbo out of the way, dark type. Literally a blade coming out of its head- super edgy. Not to mention practically all Absol fan art is edgy.
Now, I'm about to go all English Class on you guys.
Absol is called the Disaster Pokemon. Yet, according to the Y Version Pokedex, "It appears when it senses an impending natural disaster. As a result, it was mistaken as a doom bringer."
Absol is literally a misunderstood teenager. And no, its "not just a phase, Trainer."
Now I know what you're all thinking. "Ludo, Absol has white fur, but edginess is usually black and dark." Well dear reader, allow me to inquire what color dark types usually are. Black. Now, as Absol is one of the few dark types that isn't black, its not conforming to "society and its norms", therefore meaning its white fur is even edgier than if it was black fur.
I rest my case. what do you guys think is the edgiest Pokemon?

Rufflet and therefore Braviary is also right there when you leave Agate Circus

Fire- Vulpix, one of my old favorites, and its adorable haha
Water- Vaporeon, he was always my favorite Eeveelution and a monster in my first Nuzlocke.
Grass- Torterra, I always though Grass Types were scrubs until this guy in Pearl
Electric- Electivire, back when I watched the anime I thought Paul was a punk, but looking back on it he was a cool character. His Electivire destroyed Ash's dumb face basically every time
Normal- Furret, my first Level 100 back in Crystal, my first Pokemon game
Fighting- Machamp- Gave him all the elemental punches back in Heartgold and he destroyed everything
Dragon- Hydreigon, three heads are better than one after all
Flying- Braviary, 'MURICA
Bug- Heracross, I never invested in bug types until this guy, and god was he a monster
Dark- Absol, he's the edgiest Pokemon, so I felt a bit of a connection
Ghost- Dusknoir, 3spooky5me
Fairy- Granbull, my first fairy type I ever used, a dear member in my first Reborn play through
Rock- Graveler, back before I was good at Pokemon I got stuck in the Cinnabar Mansion in Leafgreen with my level 80 or something Graveler, had to restart because my child mind couldn't get out :/
Ground- Garchomp, land sharks are awesome
Steel- Scizor, one of the coolest designs in my opinion, and not to mention amazing
Psychic- Espeon, Pokemon Colosseum is a very memorable game for me, and this kid helped me obliterate Cypher
Poison- Nidoking, because he's an animal
Ice- Weaville, Fast and Furious

Powerful Staraptor

Okay thanks! I'm gonna look into Snorlax or Cinccino, I've never used a Cinccino in any game so the idea is appealing...

For my second play through of Reborn, I decided to try a rotation style for my team and have a member of every type. I'm conflicted on who to have for my normal type, as my initial plan of Braviary isn't really looking so appealing anymore. I was also considering Tauros or Urasring, but I'm not sure. What would you guys recommend?

A strategy I like is using my Florges to use Misty Terrain to overwrite any current field effect for 5 turns.. its short but those turns can really help, and Florges is such a specially defensive monster it can eat up most special hits

Some nice buttered Crawdaunt with a Farfetch'd soup would hit the spot right now...

Alright thanks

This seemed like the correct place for this since it was general Pokemon Reborn info...
Anyways, has Ame updated all move sets to ORAS, or are they still at X any Y? I'm assuming its an ongoing process, but since some Pokemon have pretty sizable differences I wanna make sure I'm looking at the right one

I just looked this up and there's apparently no difference in the rate Sandshrew and Sandslash learn moves, meaning there's no real advantage to keeping it a Sandshrew unless you want it to level up faster by having it not be evolved

Hahaha Cain the Gardevoir... you seem to have a large quantity of ground types in comparison to others, so out of redundancy that might be an area to cut down on

I'm a little tardy to the party cuz I've already been on here for a week, but better late than never, right?
I'm Luke, nickname Ludo. I'm a senior in high school, and I'm into track, sciencey things, and Pokémon of course! I've been into Pokémon since I was around 4 years old, but my first actual game was Crystal. I'm currently doing my second playthrough of Reborn, and like I couple other people I found out about the game via shofu. I look forward to talking with everyone, it seems like a great community here!
