  1. I have a bunch of series that like, or used to like, which I try to avoid bringing up, either because I'm not sure the group would like them, because I think they've gone downhill as of late, or both. Advance Wars(Don't think people would like it) Stronghold(gone downhill after Crusader Extreme) Sonic the Hedgehog(I think we're all well aware of how far downhill this has gone.) Command & Conquer(Both... C&C4 *shudders*) Halo(Both) Crash Bandicoot(Downhill)
  2. Damn. That looks cool! Does that mean we'll be fighting some legendaries soon? I hope not.
  3. I'm a bit skeptical about personality tests, but I thought I'd give this a go. I'm not a virtuoso, or an explorer? But I guess it's... somewhat accurate? I don't know. Too tired to look over the result. I'll check it some other time.
  4. Why are we here? I mean why are we in this thread answering, and asking each other questions?
  5. So, if we became the champion, we're going to lose?
  6. To be fair, most of what I remember of the Distortion world was the fact that there were boulder pushing puzzles for some inexplicable reason, and the music. And the fact that she was aware of Team Galactic means that Cynthia considers researching mythology more important than stopping the group of maniacs who blew up a lake. There's really no other reason why she wouldn't be helping you stop them. She doesn't even help you battle Cyrus. Also, I'm still very doubtful of Arclight being the champion. You'd think the champion would be more concerned with stopping Team Meteor than a random illegal Pokemon seller.
  7. It's never been stated anywhere that the champions are supposed to resolve their region's problems. Hell, I can only think of two champions in the official games who have ever actively opposed their region's evil team(s): Lance and Steven. Lance helps you storm a Team Rocket base in GSC and HGSS, and Steven helps defend the Space Center against Team Magma in Emerald, and each of them are only seen actually fighting the evil team during those events. The rest of the champions never did anything about the criminals in their regions. Cynthia was too busy studying Sinnoh's lore to do anything about Team Galactic trying to blow up her home town or Lake Valor. Wallace never did anything apart from letting you into Sky Pillar, if I remember correctly. Alder never did anything more than what was required of him(try and fail to beat N's legendary dragon). Iris led you to Castelia sewers, where she thought suspicious people might hide. That's it. Diantha literally did nothing the entire game in XY, she appeared once, talked to Lysandre, and never showed up again until we beat the elite 4.
  8. Monster Hunter X news That owl can use(what appears to be) a yellow powder which inflicts a new status that reverses your controls. In order to cure this status you need to eat a bitterbug. The owl can also put you to sleep. Mounting has been changed so that when you mount the monster, other players can hit the monster all they want, it won't knock you off(thank god). In fact, it's actually beneficial to hit the mounted monster in MHX. It makes it easier for the other player to succeed in the mount. Also, when another player mounts the monster, a gauge is displayed under their name showing how close they are to toppling the monster. The Aerial hunting style allows you to use monsters and other players as springboards and jump over them and allows you to attack the monster from above(this will not result in a mount, like the insect glaive's pole vault would). The drawbacks to this style are the following: the Aerial style's jumps have slightly fewer invincibility frames than a normal evade, and are a bit longer too. You can only equip 1 super skill, as opposed to the normal 2. You also lose some ground attacks, not necessarily the same attacks you would give up for the Striker style though. Striker style is heavily focused towards super skills, and abusing them as much as you possibly can. You give up a lot of your attacks/techniques, and have the mechanics of your weapon altered in some way and are left with a simplified moveset which focuses on making you charge up your super skill gauge as fast as you possibly can. With this style, you can equip 3 super skills, instead of the usual 2. Bushido style has not really been shown off much, but apparently, you only get one super skill when you use it, and it gives you something called a "perfect evade." Basically, if you successfully evade through a monster's attack, you will use a special move of some sort. This special move is different for each weapon. If you don't know the monster you're fighting very well, the Bushido style is pretty much a worse guild style. Only equip this if you are confident that you can make use of the perfect evade attacks. Edit: Lagiacrus is back, people(still no water combat, thankfully)!
  9. I hope you end up doing a hard-mode nuzlocke. Why? Because I'm a sadistic bastard and your rage would be hilarious.
  10. Finishing secondary school. What's the worst thing that's ever happened to you?
  11. I personally just want to see Shade actually do something for once, instead of just giving cryptic predictions in the form of bizarre poetry.
  12. Welcome, your... highness? I hope you enjoy your stay here. Looking forward to seeing you elsewhere on the forums.
  13. Hmm... maybe I'll do that. I saw a spriting tutorial somewhere around here earlier, I'll read that and try it out. Who knows, maybe I'll enjoy it?
  14. This thread kind of makes me want to play this children's card game. Well, that, and the fact that Red-Eyes is apparently useful.
  15. If we're battling xem soon, I don't think we'll be teaming up with Adrienn. In the cases you listed, either we've already battled them by that point(Florinia, Shelly, Aya), or it was a long way off from their actual gym battle, and they only used one pokemon(Amaria, and Titania, neither of whom we've battled yet, and it doesn't seem like we'll be battling Titania anytime soon).
  16. ... Oh, you wanted the best Reborn has to offer? I should probably leave then... In all seriousness, this is an interesting project so far. I can't wait to see what comes of it. I'll do the same as pbood, and stick around and keep checking on this project. Maybe ask a question or two, or make a suggestion so I don't feel like complete dead weight here. I kind of regret that I'm not as useful as Commander, Lore, Trevo, or Snow. But hey, what are you gonna do? Good luck with Revolution!
  17. When and where was Anna confirmed to not be one of the Elite 4? And no, we don't actually know who the last Elite 4 member is. That's why this debate exists.
  18. If El really is/was the champion, I think it would be a bit weird to say "one of the elite" instead of outright saying El is the champion in that context. While I don't think that line necessarily rules it out, El turning out to be the champion after that conversation would still be pretty strange.
  19. No, I'm currently a jobless bum. On the scale of 1-10(worst to best), how would you rate this year so far?
