The battle was okay until there was a script hanging error, so I had to restart the solaris battle with half of my pokemon already down.

Mine was when I raised my venusaur to level 100 in Leafgreen. That was back when I didn't know about moves and choose what ever had the strongest base power, so I had my Venusaur with Frenzy plant, hyper beam, and solar beam.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but on the water surface field what do you guys think of the Air Balloon making a pokemon being immune to some of the effects? For example an air balloon would make a grounded pokemon not slowed by the water and electric attacks will not have the 1.5 multiplier.

It depends on what you want your Clefable to do. If you want it to be a set up sweeper that can not be stopped go with magic guard otherwise go with unaware to stop potential set up sweeps

For me, it would have to be Swoobat. With simple once it hits level 29 for calm mind, it can sweep any gym without a speedy physical attacker. Plus with double battles you can calm mind up to +6 and use the partner for heeling

I just looked at this field effect and my team gets crushed by it I guess its time to train up some new pokes.

On route 2 you can also catch a rufflet and train it to become braviary, which I hear does well against Samson.

Also Terra is a team Meteor member that is a gym leader.

If you're feeling really bored then you could always grind up a pickup army in preparation for the updated pickup list in the ep.15

Another option is simple swoobat. Set up some calm minds and it will even perform well late game.

I'd have to say Swoobat. Even though it seems like a bad pick, I swear that it has saved me with clutch simple calm mind sweeps.

You could always use spheal and his evolutions. He can learn dive, surf, waterfall, rock smash, and strength. You can get him in Ametrine Mt.
