  1. Update #35: But Nobody Came. Well, the PULSE Abra was... anticlimactic. I led with Jerry, and after he tanked an energy ball thanks to sturdy, he OHKO'd it with an earthquake, ending the fight in less than 30 seconds! With that, we meet Lin, the TRUE leader of Team Meteor, and Saphira destroys Team Meteor's Tanzan Mountain base! With that over with, it's time to finally battle Noel!
  2. Hey! Sorry for the lack of updates; I've been working on another challenge run of Pokemon Rejuvenation, which you can find here! Anyway... Update #34: I DON'T NEED FRIENDS! I HAVE KNIVES! Well, the Steelix wasn't all that bad, even with its Mega Evolution. I led with Kid, and he set up a reflect before fainting to an earthquake. Up next came Ice Cap, and he set up a mist, tanked two crunches, and unleashed two ice winds before fainting to an earthquake. Up next came Temmie, and while she was able to do massive damage with a fire blast, she still fainted from a stone edge. Luckily, at this point Steelix was so weakened and slow that Jerry was able to KO it with an earthquake! With Steelix down and Saphira and Laura safe, it's time to take out the PULSE Abra and put an end to this madness! The team so far:
  3. Welp, Commander is going to have a field day with this. Okay I'll go now
  4. So, in case you guys didn't know, Pokemon Reborn has a page on TVTropes! I've been working to embellish it and improve it, but it's a lot of work for just one person, especially the YMMV Page. So, I figured I'd recruit some help from the forums, and what better place to start than with That One Boss! That One Boss, also known as a scrappy boss, is a boss that gives most players a ton of trouble. It's significantly harder than most bosses, and is more or less a brick wall to progress. Now, that doesn't mean it can't be awesome; it's just that they're really, really freaking difficult, even more so than most bosses within the game. So,, what do you guys think that That One Boss is within Pokemon Reborn and Pokemon Reborn Hardcore?
  5. Thanks! I actually found out something interesting about the Dimensional Rift Gyrados: its signature move, Dimensional Thrash, isn't any type that's in the official games. Jan must have hacked in a new, neutral type to make sure you couldn't cheese the fight with type resistances. Anyway... Update #6: A Toxic Environment It's weird: the fight that was supposed to give me Hell was the easiest one for me thus far, and the fights that were supposed to be easy gave me Hell. Venam was no exception, mostly because of that freaking Haunter. Seriously, that thing was a run-ender. Anyway, on TEH URN, I led with Mew, and she led with her Trubbish. Mew set up a reflect type, turning it into a poison-type and giving it a better type match-up, then began spamming mega punch while the Trubbish spammed pound, payback, and Venam's kiss. After it got healed by Venam with all three of her potions, Mew tried using metronome, which turned into rapid spin, of all things. Luckily, Mew was able to take it down the next turn with a mega punch, although xe did get caught in the aftermath. Up next came Venam's Stunky. I healed Mew with a Chinese food, but then got promptly locked into a torment. Luckily, Mew was able to set up an encore thanks to metronome, forcing Venam to switch out to her Tentacool. Mew then landed a mighty mega punch and a fire spin (through metronome, of course) and although xe missed a mega punch and got hit by a water pulse and a fell stinger, xe managed to KO Mew with a metronome-turned aeroblast (because there is no kill like overkill). Up next came the Stunky, and Mew tanked a flame burst to do massive damage with a mega punch. Mew then conjured up a king's shield with a metronome, and blocked a Venam's kiss with it. Mew missed a mega punch and got hit with two flame bursts afterwards, but lived and fired off a metronome-turned-dual-chop and a mega punch, taking out Stunky! Up next came Venam's most difficult Pokemon for me to deal with: her Haunter. I had Mew transform into it, and xe just barely survived a shadow claw to confuse it with a confuse ray. Mercifully, the Haunter injured itself, giving me time to heal Mew with a soda pop while Haunter continued to hurt itself. Mew then finished off Haunter with a shadow claw, but sadly got overleveled, meaning the rest of the fight would be a struggle to keep xem obeying me. After getting smacked by two venoshocks, Mew finally began to obey me and fired off a Venam's kiss while dodging a leech seed. Xe then confused Ivysaur with a confuse ray, causing it to injure itself from confusion twice while Mew got off another Venam's kiss. Sadly, Mew then began to disobey me again, loafing around while getting smacked silly by razor leaves, venoshocks, and Venam's kisses. After I healed xem with a soda pop and xe tanked a razor leaf, xe finally began to obey me again and fired off a mighty venam's kiss, taking Ivysaur down! All that remained was Venam's ace: Seviper. Mew managed to land a confuse ray, and while Seviper injured itself twice, Mew... just kind of loafed around. (sigh) Luckily, while Seviper snapped out of confusion and got off two Venam's kisses, Mew managed to obey me long enough to get off a confuse ray and a critical-hit shadow claw, allowing Mew to tank a few more Venam's kisses and get off another shadow claw, weakening Seviper enough for it to KO itself from confusion damage! With that done, we recruit our first new team member: Venam's Seviper! Now to get the TM for rock smash! The team so far:
  6. Update #5: Mew Ain't Havin' That Sh@t Well, Zetta and the Dimensional Rift were actually fairly easy, so I'll combine them into one post. Zetta was pretty much Mew jut spamming mega punch and tanking hits until everything fell. Shadow Duskull gave me the most trouble, but I got past it and eventually KO'd it with a few mega punches. The Dimensional Rift Gyrados, meanwhile, was a lot more interesting. I had Mew (who outsped the Gyrados due to its quick claw) transform into the Gyrados, and xe managed to tank a fire fang from Gyrados. Xe then missed a dimensional thrash, but Gyrados jusr set up rain dance, allowing Mew to KO it with another dimensional thrash! With that over with, it's time to beat Venam! The team so far:
  7. Update #4: Eclipse of the Moon Well, I'm going to be blunt. Eli and Sharon made my life HELL. Psywave took off huge chunks of Mew's health, and Mew could only retaliate with mega punch (which was not very effective and missed a lot) or metronome (which was a luck based mission)! Anyway, on TEH URN, I led with Mew, and they led with Lunatone. Mew did some damage with a mega punch, but then got confused by a confusion. I was considering resetting and trying again, since getting confused was pretty much an instant-loss condition, but I carried on anyway... and Mew managed to land a critical-hit mega punch! Even better, Mew managed to snap out off confusion the next turn before landing another mega punch! Lunatone lived and retaliated with two rock throws before getting healed by a potion, but Mew managed to end it with two more mega punches! Up next came Eli and Sharon's dreaded Solrock, and after Mew did a pitiful amount of damage with a mega punch and tanked a rock throw, I decided to have xem start spamming metronome and hope for the best... and amazingly, it did! While Solrock just kept spamming rock throw and psywave, Mew managed to use hidden power, recover, blaze kick, and x-scissor, ending the Solrock! With that over with, it's time to confront Zetta and defeat the Dimensional Rift! The team so far:
  8. Update #3: One Punch Mew Well, Melia was pretty close, but I beat her. I led with Mew, and she led with Doduo. Mew missed a mega punch and got smacked by a rage and a quick attack, but then was able to KO it with a mighty mega punch the next turn. Melia sent out her Teddiursa next, but it only got off a lick before fainting to two mega punches. She then sent out her Minccino, which managed to survive a mega punch and did considerable damage with a flail. It then got healed by a potion, but still fainted to another mega punch. Melia's Eevee came out, and it was by far the most annoying Pokemon on her team; it went down to two mega punches, but still got off a baby-doll eyes and a mud-slap, leaving Mew with a lower accuracy and attack. All that remained was Happiness, Melia's Togepi. Since Mew just learned metronome, I had xyr use it a few times while Togepi started to spam echoed voice. Xe got off a spiky shield, a pound, a soak, and a frustration before I realized that this was a waste of time and switched back to spamming mega punch. Mew missed a few mega punches, and Happiness got healed by a potion, but ultimately, Mew managed to take it down with six HP to spare! Unfortunately, Team Xen then attacks, so it's time to get out of there with Melia before bad things happen! The team so far:
  9. Update #2: GARBAGE DAY! Well, the Garbodor battle was actually pretty tough! I led with Mew, Ren led with Murkrow, and the gang led with the two Trubbish. Mew did massive damage to a Trubbish with a mega punch, and Murkrow chipped away at the other Trubbish with a peck, but then both Pokemon got posioned by a poison gas (both Trubbish used poison gas, actually, which was kind of just overkill). To make matters worse, Mew missed a mega punch the next turn, and Murkrow failed to KO the weakened Trubbish with a pursuit; this let the Trubbish injure both Mew and Murkrow with a pound. mew finally managed to take out the weakened Trubbish with a mega punch (because there is no kill like overkill) and Murkrow made Trubbish flinch with an astonish, so my luck began to turn around... then Garbodor came out. Hoo boy. Mew once again missed a mega punch, and Murkrow failed to KO Trubbish with a pursuit, so Garbodor set up toxic spikes and Trubbish pounded Murkrow. By this point, Mew was getting pretty worn down, so I healed xem with a potion, allowing xyr to tank a pound from Trubbish; Murkrow, meanwhile, almost KO'd Trubbish with an astonish, but failed and was taken out by a pound from Garbodor. Ren sent out his Froakie next, and he managed to take out the Trubbish with a quick attack; Mew, meanwhile, finally landed a mega punch on Garbodor before it injured Froakie quite severely with a pound. Froakie fainted the next turn to another pound, but Mew was able to seriously injure Garbodor with a mega punch! Mew got hit by critical-hit pound from Garbodor, but amazingly, he shrugged it off and unleashed a mighty mega punch, ending the fight! Time to go meet up with Melia at the Goldenwood Forest! ...I'm sure nothing's going to go wrong... The team so far:
  10. Oh, yeah, I forgot to clarify: major bosses =/= recruitable bosses. The major bosses are just gym leaders and hopeless boss fights. The recruitable bosses are: -Venam (Seviper) -Keta's Body (Lucario) -Keta's Soul (Hawlucha) -Amaria (Delphox) -Marianette (Slaking) -Narcissa (Misdreavus) -Nim (Fused Solorck/Lunatone) -Melia (Togekiss) -Valerie (Lapras) -Ren (Greninja) -Crawli (Volcarona) -Angie (Aurorus) -Amber (Whatever her ace is, I didn't get that far) Does that make sense?
  11. Nope. By "every major boss" I mean only non-villainous team members, non-Pokemon gang Pokemon, madatory bosses, and non-dimensional rift Pokemon. So from the start of the game to Keta, I'll get a Seviper, a Lucario, and a Hawlucha, but I won't get a Garbodor, a Gyrados, and so on forth.
  12. I'm pretty sure I have the ace with its default moveset at the same level as normal, but you'd honestly have to ask SHIA. Also, thanks for the good luck! Anyway... Update #1: Tackle Fight Well, the first couple of battles against Amaria and Ren were... anticlimactic, to say the least. Mew managed to quite literally pound Amaria's Fennekin and Ren's Froakie into oblivion within four turns, only taking minimal damage itself. So, yeah. Anyway, time to explore the city and meet new friends (human, friends, I mean)! The team so far:
  13. So, as a little side project along with my Pokemon Reborn Hardcore PU-only run, I've decided to do a Conquest run of Pokemon Rejuvenation on Intense Mode, as popularized by Hiroki Tatsumi and his "Miltank's Rebellion". If you're not familiar with the rules, they are as follows: 1) I start with any Pokemon I want (in this case, I chose Mew; yes, I know it's a legendary, but it has a pretty shallow level-up movepool and TMs are scarce within the game). 2) I may not catch any Pokemon. 3) Once I beat a gym leader or any other major boss for the final time (excluding villainous team members), I get to use their ace on my team. 4) For every major battle, I must use my starter (in this case, Mew). So, yeah, that just about sums it up. Here's my team so far: Here's the Pokemon in my PC: Here's the major bosses we have to fight: Also, a shout-out to SHIA, who hacked my save file to have all of these Pokemon! Thank you so, so much! Wish me luck! ...'Cause I'm probably going to be using Mew as a crutch for a while. (-_-ll)
  14. Man, everyone here is really, really, talented, and I'm just awkwardly flailing about like this: http://www.mariowiki.com/images/thumb/7/71/Lotad.gif/200px-Lotad.gif

  15. Um, I made a post in the Rejuvenation section of the Forums asking for somebody to edit my save file so I could do a challenge run. Would anybody mind cheking it out?

  16. Well, I decided that in addition to my current challenge run in Pokemon Reborn (which you can find here), I'd like to do one of those fancy "Conquest" Challenges done by people like Hiroki. In case you're wondering, you start with a single Pokemon, and every time you beat a major boss for the final time, you get to use their Pokemon. For my run, I'll be excluding Team Xen members, so that would mean: -Starter: Mew (I figure it's not too OP because it only learns moves every ten levels, as well as the fact that its ability to learn every TM is mitigated by the lack of TMs in the game; if you think it's too OP, I'll go for Snorlax instead) -Venam: Seviper -Keta (Body): Shiny Lucario -Keta (Soul): Hawlucha -Amaria: Delphox -Marianette: Slaking -Nacissa: Misdreavus -Nim: Solrock/Lunatone Fusion (I'd need the Phase Dial, too) -Melia: Shiny Togekiss -Valerie: Lapras -Ren: Greninja (yes, I know this breaks the "No Team Xen" rule, but I'm willing to look past it since he started as a rival) -Crawli: Volcarona -Angie: Aurorus -Amber: Whatever her ace is (haven't gotten that far in the game yet) I apologize if that was too much, and I thank whoever edits this in advance!
  17. Well, that's what you get when you use only low-tier Pokemon, I guess. Still, thanks for commenting! Anyway... Update #33: DARKER DARKER YET DARKER Well, Dr. Sigmund Connal was actually pretty tough, but after a few tries I managed to beat him. On TEH URN, I led with Muffet, and he led with Mega Ampharos. I had Muffet set up a sticky web, then swapped her out for Ice Cap after she tanked a thunderbolt. Ice Cap survived a dragon pulse from Ampharos and did massive damage with an ice beam, but fainted from a signal beam, forcing me to send out Jerry. Jerry started spamming earthquake while Sigmund spammed ultra potions, but when he ran out all Ampharos was able to do was get off a single signal beam before fainting. Out next came his toughest Pokemon for me to handle: his Eelektross. I sent out Kid, and he tanked a giga drain and a discharge while setting up dual screens; sadly, he was paralyzed and immobilized before he could do any damage, getting KO'd by a giga drain and a crunch. I sent out Alphys next, and had her spam psyshock while she took hits left and right; sadly, she too got paralyzed, and only got off three psyshocks before fainting. I decided to take off the kid gloves and sent out Temmie, who tanked a drain punch while setting up a nasty plot and unleashed a mighty fire blast, taking it out! Up next came Sigmund's Lanturn, so I swapped out to Muffet, who tanked a scald and ended it with two leaf blades! Out next came Sigmund's ace: Electivire. I sent out Temmie, and she tanked a cross chop with 25 HP remaining to burn it with a will-o-wisp, then got healed by a berry ice cream and tanked a fire punch. She then did serious damage with a fire blast and tanked one last cross chop with just 2 HP remaining, causing Electivire to faint from life orb recoil! Up next came Sigmund's Luxray, so I sent out Jerry. Jerry tanked a crunch and got off two earthquakes, ending it! All that remained was Sigmund's Rotom-M, so I sent out Muffet to finish the job. She survived a shadow ball with 24 HP left, then got off an x-scissor and was healed by a berry ice cream. The Rotom, clearly scared out of its wits, threw everything it had at Muffet by firing off two leaf storms, but Muffet survived and unleashed one last x-scissor, taking down Rotom! Anyway, stuff happens, and Saphira gets kidnapped. Let's go rescue her! The team so far:
  18. Update #32: Every Human That Falls Down Here Meets the Same Fate. Well, I managed to beat Serra on my first try, but it was a pretty clutch battle. I led with Temmie, and she led with Mega Abomasnow. Poor ol' President Snow didn't even get off a single attack before Temmie KO''d it with a mighty fire blast! Up next came Serra's Mamoswine, and I swapped out to Chara. Chara managed to tank a critical-hit blizzard with 55 HP remaining, and did some mammoth (heh) damage with a reflected bubble beam! Mamoswine lived, though, and Serra healed it with an ultra potion while Chara got off another bubble beam. Sadly, xe fainted the next turn to an icicle crash, so I sent out Kid. Kid set up a reflect and a light screen while Mamoswine got healed by an ultra potion, hit him with an earth power, and missed an icicle crash; Kid then came into focus and unleashed a mighty psychic, which KO'd the Mamoswine instantly! Her Vanilluxe came out next, and I sent out Jerry. Sadly, Jerry fainted to two frost breaths before he could even get off an attack, prompting me to send out Moldsmal. Moldsmal was hit with a mirror shot and a signal beam, but he managed to land a toxic and a reflected acid spray, then set up a amnesia whie Vanilluxe set up a reflect. He then tanked one more signal beam to KO it with a reflected sludge bomb and poison damage! Up next came Serra's Glaceon. Sadly, Moldsmal fainted to a an evasion-boosted frost breath before he could attack, so I sent out my ace up my sleeve: Ice Cap! He tanked a frost breath and a shadow ball to do massive damage with three mirror shots, doing enough damage to take out Glaceon as well as make Serra use up her last ultra potion! Up next came Serra's Cloyster. I sent out Kid again, and he set up reflect while tanking a rock blast and a waterfall to do massive damage with two psychics! All that remained was Serra's ace, Froslass. I sent out Temmie, but she got confused and injured herself, and then fainted from a critical-hit shadow ball. Running out of options, I sent out Kid, but all he did was set up a light screen before fainting. All I had left was Ice Cap, but he managed to tank two frost breaths with just one HP left and ended Froslass with two mighty mirror shots! Time to chase after the Pokemart and get Anna some medicine! The team so far:
  19. So, uh, I was wondering if it was okay to put Pokemon Rejuvenation on TVTropes, considering that Pokemon Reborn already has its own page on TVTropes. However, I don't want to accidentally offend Jan by doing this without his permission. What do you think, based Jan?
  20. Um, I was thinking about making a page for Pokemon Rejuvenation on TVTropes. What would you guys think?

    1. Tomas Elliot

      Tomas Elliot

You should ask Jan. On one hand, the free advertisement is nice, but on the other, if someoe publiclyexposed sensible information concerning my game, without my explicit permission, I would most definitely get mad.

In short: go ahead, but ask Jan what you can and what you cannot say first.

  21. I'm sorry if I offended anybody with my post yesterday about my username. I was just trying to be funny, and I didn''t mean to sound like a jerk.

    1. Skeleton

      Skeleton

idk what this is about but i recommend changing your icon because its undertale spoilers

  22. Update #32: What's EXP? It's an Acronym. It Stands For "Execution Points". Well, for once, Bennett was a boss who wasn't so bad. I led with Kid, and he led with Larvesta. Kid set up a reflect and a light screen while tanking a bug bite and a zen headbutt. He then fired off a psychic while Larvesta missed a flame charge and broke a mirror, allowing Kid to finish it off with a mighty critical-hit psychic! Up next came Bennett's Scyther. It was a pretty big joke; I swapped out to Jerry, and all it did was just get off a single wing attack before fainting to a mighty rock blast! Up next came his most problematic Pokemon: Heracross. I sent out Kid, and although he did some damage with a psychic, he fainted from a critical-hit megahorn. Temmie came out next, and although she managed to burn it with a will-o-wisp, she still fainted from an earthquake; luckily, the field breaking actually managed to end Heracross as well! I sent out Ice Cap- now a mighty Vanilluxe!- and Bennett sent out his Vivillon. Vivillon missed a sleep powder while Ice Cap set up a mist, and then missed a hurricane while Ice Cap fired off an icy wind. The whiffed Hurricane did blow away the mist, though, so I had him use an ice beam the next turn; although Bennett tried using a berry ice cream, it didn't really help, as the ice beam took it out! Up next came Bennett's Butterfree. It didn't even get off an attack; it just set up a quiver dance, then fainted to a critical-hit ice beam. All that remained was Bennett's Venomoth. I sent out Jerry, and funnily enough, the same exact thing happened- it got off a single quiver dance, then fainted to a single attack- this time, a rock blast. Let's go battle Serra! The team so far:

Well, my old name sounded like some 10-year-old's Minecraft name.

    3. Another Felix

No offense to any ten-year-olds who play Minecraft.

  24. Hey, thanks! Also, yeah, coil Arbok is awesome. Not quite as good as coil Eelektross, but still really good (as well as easier to obtain before Solaris). Anyway... Update #31: Greetings. Well, Sirius was actually pretty tough, but I beat him eventually. On TEH URN, I led with Alphys, Cain led with Nidoking, and Sirius led with Chandelure and Hitmontop. Hitmontop used a mach punch on Nidoking, and Chandelure used a psychic... on Alphys. (slowly claps) Great job, Sirius. Anyway, Alphys and Nidoking then teamed up to KO Hitmontop with a psychic and a sludge bomb, prompting Sirius to send out his Manectric. Shockingly (no pun intended), Manectric managed to KO Alphys with a thunderbolt, and Nidoking took hefty damage from a shadow ball, although he lived and got off a shadow ball on Chandelure. I sent out Jerry next, and while Manectric took out Nidoking with a hidden power and Chandelure injured Jerry with a heat wave, Jerry wiped the floor with both of Sirius' Pokemon with a mighty earthquake! This prompted Sirius to send out his Seviper and his Probopass, and although Seviper took out Jerry with an aqua tail, Cain's newly-sent-out Samurott did manage to flinch Probopass with an air slash, so that's something, I guess. I sent out Chara next, and xe tanked a weakened thunderbolt from Probopass to get off a bubble beam on said Probopass while Samurott tanked a poison fang and began to dig under Seviper. Sadly, although Chara did do some damage with a bubble beam the next turn and Samurott did do some serious damage with a dig, xe fainted from a poison fang and a thunderbolt. I sent out Temmie next, and although she missed a fire blast, Sirius wasn't able to do much; he just swapped Probopass out for Honchkrow and healed Seviper while Samurott injured Seviper with an air slash. Temmie was significantly more useful the next turn, though; she seriously injured Honchkrow with a fire blast, and Honchkrow took itself out while taking out Samurott with a brave bird! Temmie unfortunately got badly poisoned that same turn from a poison fang, but hey, whatcha gonna do. Temmie did massive damage to Probopass with a fire blast while Gengar did some damage to Seviper with a shadow ball, but Temmie got knocked down to the red with a poison fang and Gengar got injured with a thunderbolt. Sirius tried healing Probopass the next turn with an ultra potion, but Temmie and Gengar knocked it back down to the red with a fire blast and a shadow ball; on the flip side, though, Temmie did get KO'd by a poison fang. With Temmie down, I sent out Muffet, who took out Probopass with a single leaf blade! Gengar, meanwhile, tried putting Seviper to sleep with a hypnosis, but failed, and promptly got its face bashed in with a night slash. This led to Cain sending out his Venomoth, which missed a sleep powder while Muffet got off an x-scissor; however, rather than target Muffet, Seviper chose to attack Venomoth with an aqua tail; it still didn't KO it, though, and Venomoth finished it with a mighty psychic the next turn! With the children rescued, it's time to flee to the Adventurine region! The team so far:
