You are very, very naive. Nobody cares. All these professors are there because they knew the right people and managed to get the position, they are firmly entrenched and noone cares about such behaviour. Or worse. Or much worse.
Actually, a lot of people care a great deal about that kind of behavior, myself included. The problem is that there aren't many people who can do anything about it.
I meant, nobody of those in charge cares. I'm from the same country, I've been a student longer than Kookies, sadly I've learned how that system works, more or less.
