    Why is SAO so commonly bashed? I really like it tbh.

      The main complaint I see is people who don't like Fairy Dance for one reason or another. Usually "incest."

      As for Kirito being a sue. He is literally the exact same character as Shirou from Fate/Stay Night which is absurdly popular and not nearly as often bashed upon, so while that may be a factor, it's certainly not the sole cause
