  1. On the same note, what level is Elftik's evolution? I want to know before I make my "tik army"

We can't tell you the exact level, but think of it this way: if its evo's sprite appears in the game's folder at this point, then the mon evolves within the level cap of the episode.

    And how many elftiks have you found in order to consider it an "army"? why do you find so many of these things? dammit ;-;

  2. For me the gym fight more or less came down to just killing everything with Sinestro (I think I may have butchered the name, I forget what its name was, the dark/bug evolved pokemon) on my first attempt - it got overleveled during the fight which was a bit of a nuisance but it almost soloed the fight for me (I had to switch out to another pokemon against what I think was a ghost/fairy and then I debuffed it a bit and then healed before finishing it off with Sinestro again). It probably didn't help that my other pokemon were all underleveled (pretty much all level 9-10) other than Sinestro, so I kind of had to rely on it, but most of her pokemon couldn't do much damage to sinestro while it could 2HKO most of her pokemon (or OHKO if it gets a fell stinger off).

One of the unusual things that's been giving me some difficulty this time is that I just don't know what types everything is - I'm not really used to this at all since I know the types of all canon pokemon off the top of my head, but simply not knowing the typing of everything I'm fighting against makes the game just so much more difficult to deal with, and on top of that I have no idea when (or if) my pokemon my evolve or what abilities they learn etc. so I can't really develop strategies other than just picking 6 pokemon almost randomly and then leveling them up.

The name you're looking for is Sinisect. Cool nickname for it on Sinestro tho, I call mine Sin xD

It is technically possible soloing Mary with just sinisect, as it resists 70% of what her team can through at you, but the level cap is there to prevent you of getting too lucky. Still, even with that, it is possible that the mon listens to you all the time no matter what level, but again, that's a very, very lucky feat.

Anyways, the problem you describe about not knowing the types, stats and levels of evolution/move-learning, that's pretty much intentional on our side. You're supposed to go in blind, fight things without knowing what they can do, and catch and use mons you don't know what will evolve into or what they will be able to do.

  3. Wait, you mean to tell me the Elftik is supposed to be rare? I encounter 1/4 battles in Route2. Anyway, not looking here till I get the ep. done not to be spoiled.

Also, my previous question was overlooked, but I would appreciate a reply. Can the controls be changed to become like Reborn and Reju, and, if yes, how?

I would have replied to you the 1st time but I have absolutely no idea. I just get used to whatever controls the game I'm playing has, so this is something only Az can tell you for sure :/

    And yea that thing is supposed to be rare. You lucky son of a gun, I have only ever found ONE and I had no pokeballs at the time ;-;

  4. I can't say much for the gym battle, because I got a Chromalyd that happened to get Hidden Power Ghost. Accupressure usage gave him 3 defense boosts and a special attack boost, and it enabled him to sweep through half the team before I decided to stop using potions at the fourth Pokemon because it'd be too easy. ._.

Pikireg wrecks her ace too, especially after some Charge setup for the special defense boost.

Lol god damn you got lucky there. HP ghost I can understand, but acupressure geting exactly the boosts you needed to sweep...just proof that chromalyd is best cocoon xD

And a pikrieg can do that, I suppose. I haven't used one myself yet :(

  5. I have a similar struggle to that of Generalguy: delphox or gardevoir, hmmm....

Anyways, I like Froiky's split for this, so unrealistic answer: Dragonair. Beautiful snake-dragon, able to fly you through the skies, and fuck stats, IRL this thing would be damn powerful. I mean, it can throw beams from its mouth, wrap itself around a tank and break it, we'd be unstoppable....although all I'd like to do with it really, would be spending my time peacefully somewhere calm. You don't need world domination when you have a dragonair.

Realistic (sort of?) answer: furret. Very common, very regular mon, but with cuteness levels out of all charts. It would be great to have around and hug it, I guess.

  6. When you walk around with a Poisoned Pokemon, and the HP counter reaches 1 and you get the message stating that your Pokemon survived the poisoning, the game crashes afterwards. The error message that shows up references something about status related errors, possibly inability to remove the status effect.

According to Az, this is a random bug with overworld poison that nothing can be done about, and that also appears in other rpgmaker games like reborn and essentials sometimes.

Try reloading the game and see if the poison overworld still crashes the game, or if it is gone.

  7. Lifoam's AWESOME. I actually liked Chromalyd more that the last stage, allthough the name still has me laughing :P But yeah, Chromalyd is one of my faves already. As of the Goshee line... iz luv. Pure, unadulterated, LUV.

Lol well good to hear that. Chromalyd's final form has a ridiculously long name, I know. I came up with it XD. Anyways, I'm also a fan of cocoon pokémon in general :D

  8. Rock'n'Roll

    Type: Rock

    Category: special

    PP: 10 (max.16)

    Power: 90

    Accuracy: 100%

"The user makes loud music with rocks for 3 turns. During that time, no one can fall asleep."

A rock-type uproar. Thanks to the fact no other type is immune against rock, this move offers STAB 90bp damage that will last 3 turns unless interrupted. It is intended for a specific rock type of mine with a high special attack, but in the canon games I suppose Roggenrola and Lilligant could learn it, the first because it has it on its name, and the second because she's all about music (plus imagine this rock coverage after a few quiver dances holy shit). Like uproar, it prevents sleep status for the 3 turns it lasts. Being a sound move, it can't hit a target with the ability soundproof, but it can hit through substitute.

  9. Yay :D

Also what a coincidence, there is a fangame named Gaia. That was the name of that project of mine that failed all the way back in 2012, but it looks like this one is completely unrelated.

Is the pokemon gaia you mentioned back then and that I searched, and I have played (twice now lol). Is one of the best rom hacks ever in my opinion, in the way that the creator, sphericalice, has found the way to code into it ALL pokemon (and I mean all, from bulbasaur to hoopa), plus various gen 4+ abilities and moves, and more that are yet to come. The story is not too developed yet, but frankly, being able to have a clefable with wonder guard that works in a hack of firered is enough joy for me. My fav hack rom in par with Glazed.

  10. Well, I figured that since Eelektross has no weaknesses and is still in RU, it wouldn't be too OP. Plus, it can't learn any attack-raising moves; only defense-raising moves. I also kind of has four-moveslot syndrome, as it can't fit all of its attacks (super fang, iron head, attack order, defend order, heal order, etc.) into one set. I'm more surprised people aren't freaking out about Fur Coat + 100 Defense...

I guess I could lower that defense, though. It is a little too high.

People aren't freaking out about fur coat + 100 defense because having fur coat means you can't be taken down physically, but overheat, fire blast or any strong STAB move coming from a special fire type will be able to either OHKO or do severe damage, which can't hapoen with flash fire. Also, if you can burn the fur coat variant, it is easier to take down as long as it doesn't run recovery (as heal order, for example).

An offensive one with flash fire can run super fang to halve the HP of every non-ghost target, get a 30% chance of flinch with iron head, high critical hit ratio with attack order, and either run heal order in the last slot for recovery in sets that do not invest much defensively, or defend order in sets that are interested in becoming as bulky as possible the sooner the better. In this regard, the fur coat variants can invest in attack and special defense, while the flash fire ones don't even need to invest in any defense whatsoever: 252 atk EVs with adamant nature and maybe life orb considering you can run heal order and use it when needed, and you have a terrifying wall-breaker that is a wall on its own, with no weaknesses and that cannot be burned, poisoned and all that can set leech seed suffers against attack order, and everything that can set up in front of it gets 50% of its HP out thanks to super fang... it is stronger than Eelektross, that's for sure.

I run a flash fire mega scizor in balanced hackmons, and you know how often is it taken down? aproximately once every 8 battles. Basically if the foe is not setting up or has some major mold breaker fire, flash fire scizor just can't go down without setting its rocks or defogging. That's similar to this.

  11. Bug/Steel with Flash Fire? Talk about OP >_<

That effectively leaves the mon with no weaknesses. And with 100-100-110 bulk, it's only a matter of it setting up a swords dance and then use x-scissor and iron head until everything in the opponent's team dies. A bit OP, could be said. Unless you carry a fire type with mold breaker and a strong fire blast, because otherwise...

well you can always burn it, oh, except you can't! because flash fire also absorbs will-o-wisp to raise fire power....

  12. And none is gonna be catchable anytime soon by the way :P

Legendaries are a bit OP to be obtained in the early-to-mid-game...

Well this was of common sense, so no biggie there lol.

But yes, as a curious fact, we proudly present you a generation with not a single legendary dragon. Is not like our common dragons are OP or anything, baka!

  13. By the way, of the 3 part-Dragon combinations you want, you are gonna get 2 in Se7en, one of which is in fact a starter.

Se7en: the game in which a mono-Dragon does not require cheating!

By this point in time, if you expect me to have had drawn a grass/dragon koala you're seriously getting another thing coming people...

  14. Zanda

For details, look at my profile picture. It should currently have a red panda that's Electric / Fighting and devastating the tiers, one by one.

That panda in your signature, I know I've seen it somewhere before. Was it a comission you made in deviantart, maybe? I'm sure I've seen this guy there at some point.
