  1. As the scythe fell, Octavia jumped back a few extra steps back for safety's measure, cursing slightly, for it fell just a little too close for her likings. Flying scythes are always funner with a bit more explaination... She thought, wanting clairifycation as to why Eric was attacking the magistrate, although she figured it was not by his own will. Seeing that the weapon was Eric's and he would probably want it back, she picked it up for him, holding it in her other hand before backing up more to see a clearer veiw of things on the roof. She could somewhat make out some of the words that were spoken, but no complete scentances were heard. What she did definately hear was a loud crash and the sound of shattering glass. Was that...? Octavia ran around the side of the Library to see a figure running before disappering in the streets but she didn't pursue because she saw that whoever it was had far too much ground on her as well as more knowledge of the city. Damn it! Really? If I was closer to the entrance I could have- She stopped herself from ranting, she might not have been able to do anything even if she was standing by the door anyway. Octavia returned her scythe to it's place on her back, although, she still had Eric's in hand. Backing up and lining herself up so that she was as close to the people on the roof as she could while still having them in view, she called out. "Oi!" She shouted, cupping one hand around her mouth so they could here her from their distance. "I have your scythe"
  2. I feel as if I have an unhealthy Touhou addiction ._.

  3. Octavia caught her breath after successfully locating the people she was pursuing. She found them, and then some, for there were a lot of people there that she didn't recognize. It was a pretty confusing scene for Octavia, who was silently cursing at herself for not explaining herself better from the start. She figured that if she did, she might have been able to come along with Eric in pursuing the robber from the roof tops rather than struggling to follow from the streets below. Surely then she wouldn't be as confused as she was now, seeing two people she didn't recognize sparring and for some reason, Eric, who was attacking a magistrate. Seeing that she was unable to do anything from her position, Octavia leaned on her scythe, the end with the blade touching the ground as she held onto the pole with her right arm twisted around it and by her side. She stood in such a way that she was able to move quickly if she needed to, but was relatively relaxed for the moment. A somewhat childish scowl was on her face as she could somewhat see - and definitely hear- the fights that were going on.
  4. Serpessence 2014... Why...

  5. Octavia found herself to be off in location by a few blocks but indiscernible shouts faintly reached her ears. In a big city like this, shouting was not unusual, but given the rough location, she hoped that she would find Eric at the source with the thief. As she ran towards the general area of the shout, Octavia looked up to the rooftops to keep an eye out for people on top.
  6. Octavia made a slight face as she ran after them, clearly being outran and she was quickly loosing sight of them. She picked up the pace and decided to continue heading straight ahead to the area Eric and the Magistrate but she stopped dead in her tracks as a thought occurred to her; what if the thief did that on purpose, what if he knew the journal had the tracking enchantment? She started running again, but slightly slower, preoccupied. But, would he really stop to check out his loot in the midst of a get away? He did have quite a bit of ground on us but what if he slipped it in the bag of someone else...? No, wait, it seems like they are going too fast to be unrelated to the crime. Eric and his friend picked up their pace, as I should know... Was it given to an accomplice? That may make sense, but-- ugh... Octavia stopped once more, but this time to catch her breath, partially because it was a pain to run with a large scythe in hand. This is all too much guess work, even IF they passed the book to someone else, that means it would be a pain to find them. And down here on the streets I may not see him if they are on the roof and vise versa... Octavia started running again to the direction that she hoped Eric was. Such a big city... Perhaps we should- I should- contact some Magistrates and try to get them to look for the robber as well... No, there isn't time for that. I should just keep going and hope something good happens. With these thoughts in mind, Octavia started running faster, but slightly more to the East, deciding to take a chance.
  7. Heck yes! So, sufficient interest is raised and co-writers found. I would pull some witty joke but I'm drawing blanks here so I'll just say let's get the show on the road I guess I'll just start he pm
  8. Hey~ So, ah, I'm thinking of doing a Camp- Halfblood sort of RP. It's only loosely based on the series, taking the concept of Greek gods/ goddesses having affairs with mortals and creating Demi God offspring. You don't need any Percy Jackson knowledge to participate (As I will be supplying in depth detail into the probably drastically modified world) and those who know the series well may be in for a surprise because the world is to be far more serious and in depth. I kind of feel like the series was a little too childish/ linear but I really like the potential it has with the concept. Even if there is sufficient interest raised, I may not actually make the RP and if I do, it may take a while to put up. This is being made on a whim but if anyone wants to collaborate, just go ahead and pm me. Questions can be asked here as well.
  9. "ALWAYS travel by the roof tops if you want a quick get away!" Octavia watched as Eric spoke to the Magistrate, although she couldn't hear them up until the last sentence, which was spoken up on the roof tops by the latter. Was that done on purpose?! She thought with annoyance, taking it perhaps a bit too personally, but she was on a roll at this point. Not fair not fair not fair not fair! Octavia thought, feeling a slight temptation to throw a mini temper tantrum as she looked up at them. Even if I do make my way up there by then I would be unable to locate them after the time that would have has passed. In said time, they would have gained too much ground on me. Ergh! Taking a deep breath she forced herself to calm down. She would continue following them for as long as fate would allow and then, she came to a realization. A great one. No wait This could work. It they continue on roof top and confront the robber, most likely, he would jump to the ground and lead the others to pursue on the roofs... A smile spread upon Octavia's face and her grip tightened on her scythe. Invisible or not, jumping from the roof at that height to the ground would make some sign of one's whereabouts, in the few seconds it would take to gather one's self, I -might- have enough time to strike... As long as I can keep up with them... And er, if I'm within range
  10. Holding herself back from returning similar rudeness, Octavia waited until he was ahead of her somewhat before she followed after him. She stayed a behind and out of his sight so she figured that was acceptable. Don't care about your diary you sour puss but I want to know how he did that with the invisibility. Besides, they were quick and effective with this thievery, so they are probably pretty experienced, meaning, whoever it is, they have stolen before. Octavia followed from a distance with relative ease, one does not easily miss a electrified scythe. She felt another jab of annoyance at the man as she realized that he probably thought that Octavia was lying about not seeing him. She wondered if he somehow knew she had read the journal- or attempted to. What ever enchantment was placed on it, it seemed that he could tell it's location. Not to mention, it seemed to be able to tell if the original owner was reading it or not.
  11. Octavia, as the book was jerked out of her grasp, made a reflexive grab and punching motion to the direction of the thief but failed as she was too slow. What the-.... Nothing. Octavia saw nothing and no one. No, that was impossible, nothing could not have grabbed that, someone she couldn't see. She glanced around the room. Some of the shelves were nearly empty. IDIOT. HOW COULD YOU NOT NOTICE THAT! She screamed at herself, the annoyance left as quickly as it came, replaced with determination to catch whoever did it. At least I have an excuse now.. she thought sheepishly in the corner of her mind. Octavia grabbed her scythe from her back and within an instant, made a motion that realigned the blade to the proper position, twisting the handle as she did so, now holding it, blade facing the ground with her left hand. She took a step to pursue but stopped at the loud bang that sounded behind her made her stop and look. Eric. It didn't take long for him to look at Octavia, and he didn't seem too pleased. With good reason. "You have two minutes to tell me who robbed this shop and made off with my journal." Octavia meet his eyes with a somewhat blank expression, she was thinking how to catch up with the thief that they could not even see. She was also wondering why someone of that sorts targeted an apothecary shop, they had to have had some sort of reason and some sort of knowledge in the topic of Apothecary for them to be any use, unless they were getting it for an accomplice. She felt a pang of unreasonable annoyance towards Eric, annoyed that he thought she was involved but understanding as she was the only supposed to be witness. A small part of her wanted to ask where he got the scythe, for it was quite nice but she shoved the thought away. "Less than that, good luck finding whoever took it, I can't see them. I was about to hand you your journal but it was taken from my hands, when I looked, there was no one." As she spoke, there was a slight bite to her words, although it was not directed to Eric, it had seeped into her tone. "We need to hurry to catch the thief," she said. With that, the woman ran out of the store, stopping outside to look around to see which direction he could have gone off to.
  12. As the words changed, Octavia bit down hard on her inner cheek, to the point of blood being drawn. After reading the words on the first page she wondered if something would happen if she flipped to another page but that idea was shot down after being shamed by the words of the book. Although.... her curiosity was pulling at her, for such effort into ensuring it would not be read or taken, what could possibly have been written? The words and personal thoughts of a person- idiot. The rattling at the door startled her, making her swallow her heart, which had jumped up her throat. Her mind quickly ran through the two scenarios that she could try, she was unsure if the charm ever reversed itself but she would rather not the chance of being found out. Either she could place it on the floor at a believable location and pretend that she was just looking at another item that caught her eye before leaving... Or, she could give it to him directly and say that she was just about to return it. The latter idea was less likely for her to do as, judging from Eric Vonter's apparent personality, he would probably check the first page. Or perhaps... she could say that she dropped it and accidentally tried to read the first page... I don't know what is worst, hidden cowardice or obvious cowardice. She gritted her teeth for a brief moment and she forced herself to relax. Either way, it would be pretty awkward to return here in the future, he will know and probably remember, I don't have the most generic face either... Damn these eyes.... Octavia looked to the door handle, which was rattling loudly. She frowned. Is he... stuck...? He did slam the door, didn't he... Should I call out or help...
  13. Octavia walked gently over to the book and picked it up, inspecting the texture and checking out the thickness, from the way it seemed to be used she guessed it to be either a log of some sort or a diary. A brief glance through the pages told her it was a diary but after said glance, she closed it once more. I should give this back, she thought, biting her inner cheek. He already seems somewhat upset, but... Her mismatched eyes flickered across the glyph. Not much damage would be done by a stranger reading another stranger's diary, correct? I doubt there will ever be a time that I meet this man again, I'm a decent apothecary but I doubt that I would ever make a name for myself anyway. A crease formed her brow as she thought, soundlessly tapping her fingers on the leather. He is going to be back for it soon but I just want to glance through to see at least an outline for what he has done... If I stand where the door is going to open and if I fail to sense him coming and close the book, I should have sufficient time to drop the book and act surprised, in such a case, I could say I was about to return it but I was examining the symbol on it. A smile flickered on her face, sounds great to me! Feeling proud of her nefarious plan, she silently stepped into position and took a deep breath, pushing a strand of her hair out of her eyes as she put her head down and looked at the book in her hands. Focusing on her hearing, she opened it.
  14. Octavia followed him, quickly placing the items on the counter. Ouf... I really want to know though, she thought to herself but instead she gave a quick nod. "That's alright," she said quickly in response to his reaction. "I just asked to see what sort of things qualify as making a name." She tried to keep her tone light as she spoke but she shifted her weight on her feet awkwardly as she fished out the money. Making quick work of sorting out the money, she handed it to the impassive man. "Here ya go," she said, placing the recently bought goods in her cross body bag. I should keep doing what I am doing, perhaps some day I could work here.... Although, his reaction is odd, what is it that has happened.
  15. Headquarters for every Apothecary in the world.... Well, that's great to know. Octavia wondered as he spoke and she nodded. "That would be great if you can ring this up, thanks," She said, although she was somewhat preoccupied as she spoke the words. Every wild herb in existence, well, a fire would be a true disaster here, she mused, I wonder if they would ever let me take a peek through here... "So, if you work here, what is it that you have done to make a name for yourself?"
  16. "See something that catches your eye?" he asked her cheerfully. "Well, it would be no surprise... You're an Apothecary after all... and this is the head quarters of operation..." Octavia looked up, turning to face the speaker with slight surprise in her eyes. She already had some glass vials in her hand and a few of them were already filled, also clutched in her hands were various herbs, roots and flowers. She made a slight gesture to them to answer his first question. "What sort of head quarters?" she asked, looking around the room more carefully. It was a particularly well stocked shop, some of the things they had were pretty difficult to find through Octavia's experience.
  17. Octavia had found her way on a quieter street, which was good because she was starting to get a head ache from all the noise. Not that there was nothing going on here, but there were less people. In an attempt to get away from the crowded streets, she ducked into a quiet looking store. "Oh...!" she gave a small exclamation in realization. An apothecary shop. The shelves were well stocked with various ingredients, already prepared potions and poisons, some books and recipes. A large grin spread upon her face and she took a deep breath as she stepped forward and into the shop, walking through the shelves and examining things that caught her interest.

  19. "Thank you~!" Octavia said to the street food vender, placing the coins in her hand into the hand of the baker. She ravenously took a large bite into a very sugary looking pastry and continued navigating through the busy streets. She was tall and well built, looking to be about 20, slightly older maybe, and was wearing a dark blue grey hooded cloak that was made for a traveler. Underneath, she wore a dark blue shirt, black pants and a pair of very well worn leather boots, with a leather bag slung across her body. Her hair was dark and messy falling around her shoulders. On her back there was an odd looking scythe, the handle and blade was made out of metal but it was folded at a 90 degree angle near the base of the blade so it didn't protrude and smack a stranger on the street as she walked. The handle was straight and slightly shorter than the owner, with the blade longer than that of a regular scythe. It looked heavy, but it appeared that the owner was used to it. Ahh, this is nice, she thought as she drifted through the streets, stopping everywhere to take in everything. Festivals are nice, although... She finished her pastry, licking her fingers and looking up at the sky, she stopped in the street for a moment before realizing she was in the way, she started walking with the flow of the crowd again. The idea of why this festival is happening is so strange; Azuaqyar, the once slain God of this world is being reborn... I was just passing through and that news hit my ears... She chuckled to herself quietly as her eyes flickered through the crowd, looking at the many people crowing the streets. God is God, people can do what they want but I don't think one needs to worship him, he is no better than us if he died once, right? Well... Regardless, one does not often witness the return of such an entity, I wonder what that is going to be like...But, why is he going to return now of all times? How could he have been slayed to begin with? This is going to be an interesting night. A soft smile flickered on her face as she walked here and there somewhat absentmindedly as she was checking out the numerous goods from numerous street vendors. She was inspecting a silver bracelet that was being sold, it had a nice weight to it and seemed pretty well made. Having already bought a bunch of nick knacks, she didn't really need it but a traveling apothecary made pretty good money anyways and she couldn't help herself. She walked away fastening it to her wrist. There is so much to see and do, Octavia thought, for now I guess it is better to live in the present than wonder of the future.
