  1. Yeah I did some research and found that Glitch is pretty influenced by KH in general. And if you have a DS/3DS (which you should) and love dark storylines, play Kingdom hearts 358/2 days. You'll probably lose a few buckets of tears by the end but it will be worth it.

  3. Yeah, I feel like in this game, if you meet a dude and he's straight, there's like a 50% chance he's a bad guy. Whatever, something new aside from all the straight male protagonists is kind of a breather. But damn Ame you don't have to make most of them bad guys anyway
  4. I didn't have a favorite until ep 14. When they decided to remix The Other Promise (Roxas' theme from Kingdom Hearts 2 and 358/2 days) and put it as Ametrine City's music EDIT: I'm kinda uneducated, so I did some research. This theme is GlitchxCity's remix of X and Y Snowbelle City, but he threw in The Other Promise in there for the lols.
  5. The ep14 shiny changes are glorious. I reboot the game to see my white metagross is now black with the reborn X and I lost my shit. it's beautiful
  6. So going through episode 14, I for once get off the bike and really listen to the music. Oh my god. It's Roxas' theme from Kingdom Hearts 2 and 358/2 Days. It's my freakin avatar photo. Ame why you give me chills. References like this make me love the game.
  7. You can sub out the Pachirisu for something else. You can pick up an Abra in 7th street, I suggest swapping that as a good special attacker. Magnezone is also very powerful as well. You also don't really need the Meowstic if you're not going to abuse Prankster. If none of those work, pick up a good-natured Noibat from anywhere in the caves and level it to 60ish (so that it's Noivern). It learns shadow ball, boomburst, everything nice. As for Iolia Valley, Machamp is going to do a LOT of work for you. Metagross, not so much. Hammer Arm is nice but it's going to die very quickly.
  8. I'm glad all these strategies are coming out. Didn't really think of Rain Dance (I even had a greninja that totally could have learned it). I'm still extremely partial to Archeops because even if you miss a rock slide and survive the blow (above 50%), Acrobatics is GOING to kill.
  9. Are these all RL people that Ame is including in her story or are they all really named that? Only names that I've ever seen in RL named that are Albus, Lucia, and Siva, and it's literally only one person for each. Everything else just seems edgy.

  11. I agree completely. Some people get a stick shoved up their butt when "the secret gets out." It's not a difficult problem to solve--getting over the ledge, that is-- it's just that when you actually find it out, it's totally worth it. Fact of the matter is, people are just lazy--I'm talking to you, Ame. So you're gonna have to deal with that secret getting out--it's an extremely well-designed secret, anyway. It's not like following a guide would take any less from the reward. I started with Protean Greninja so I never bothered using Gyarados as a crutch. Greninja isn't the greatest option but it's damn good once you fill out its moveset.
  12. If you can, pick up a shiny noibat from the underground. I know I've come across about three or four and I have two on me. Noivern is pretty solid late-game. I also highly suggest plume fossil -> Archen (which can be soft reset). If you're ridiculously lucky like me and follow the Bxbysion Wasteland guide to Beldum you might get a shiny Metagross like I did after only eight soft resets. (I actually got a shiny Beldum on reset #4 as well but it KO'd itself because it's stupid.) I also suggest mudkip late-game because it is a pick-up pokemon, not a catch pokemon. Much easier to get via soft resetting
  13. Does the Litleo trade in Peridot still exist? Cus that little cat saved my life in Jasper and Beryl multiple times.
  14. I'd suggest against picking Tepig as your starter thanks to the fact that you can get one in Apophyll later in the game. I suggest the Blaziken line for the next best thing (or probably a Fennekin). It also isn't all that fast (if you don't get a speed boost variant) with only a base 80 speed. However, it is not very bulky either. Fennekin follows suit as well--it is probably not what you're entirely looking for because of its speed and its lack of bulk. As for strong fire types, the first-gen options that you can get mid-game are Growlithe (save all the police officers in Jasper / Beryl) and Vulpix (short mini-quest in Obsidia Ward). Early you can get a Litleo (mine came THROUGH really well after it evolved--flamethrower wrecks house m8) and late game in the Lapis Ward you can get a Cyndaquil which is an absolute MONSTER once it learns Eruption. Once you reach Apophyll Academy you can rush into the mountain and pick up a Slugma / Macargo (god knows how many shiny slugmas I've stored and killed just EV training in that mountain) or even a Numel / Camerupt which is a slower, bulkier (but also extremely susceptible to water) Typhlosion (really only similar in the sense that they both get Eruption, which is ultimately much more useful on Typhlosion which is hit first kill first). That's my experience with fire types. Considering Torchic Speed Boost is one of the best starters to choose in this game because of its game breaking ability (Protean Greninja is like this as well), I'd start with that just for survivability. But you do you, man.
  15. Dude don't sleep on Emolga. That nigga saved my life till Episode 11. Seriously. Nuzzle + Electro ball is amazing. Also Acrobatics will destroy Apophyll academy.
  16. Hey guys. So you got to episode 13, and now you're about to take on the gym that lets you access Dive (but not really for right now). You've busted through the gym's puzzle while having flashbacks to Pokemon Sapphire / Ruby and taking on Wallace's gym in Sootopolis. Then you press "a" and you have no clue for what's about to hit you. You get that notification, "the field is superheated." Then the Ninetales and the Typhlosion get sent out, and suddenly your two opening pokemon are dead--you only have four pokemon left and you haven't even blinked. You send out your starter. Maybe it's Swampert, maybe it's Greninja, maybe it's Blastoise. If you're lucky enough to land a Hydro Pump, you look in awe as it hardly takes half of the hp necessary on the Ninetales. Typhlosion uses Eruption, and you're like, "psh. That won't do anything." And sure enough, your Swampert / Greninja / Blastoise survives. Then you see "...Ninetales used Solarbeam!" And you're screwed. Dealing with the fire gym mostly is a game of speed. Most of the pokemon obtainable in the game that can learn Earthquake naturally are too slow, so you can't rely on your Golem, your Swampert, your Rhydon, your Diggersby, your whatever. They're all going to get one-shot by something thanks to that combination of the superheated field and the Drought. Likewise, most of the obtainable pokemon that can learn a strong Rock move also fall under the first category. Most of them, except for Archeops. Archeops is a frustrating pokemon to use because as soon as its health bar drops under 50% it's as good as useless thanks to Defeatist. Hopefully, your health with this absolute behemoth won't even drop under 100%. You can get an Archeops courtesy of the Plume fossil, which is available either through digging or through an in-game event (see the pokemon location guide!) Tips for your brand new Archeops: When resurrecting it (at Route 1), make sure you save beforehand so you can RNG reset so that you can get an Attack or Speed positive nature. I settled for Lonely with decent IV's, pray for Adamant because Archeops is more inclined physically than specially. Archeops is one of the rare pokemon that gets most of its good moves through leveling up. Meaning you don't need to worry about TM's for the most part. Notable moves include: Acrobatics, U-turn, Dragon Claw, Crunch, Rock Slide. LET'S LOOK AT THAT LAST ONE. ROCK SLIDE. Rock Slide wrecks SHIP with this gym. Archeops has INSANE stats from the get-go: 140 Attack, 110 Speed. That's all you need to know for now, though--it outspeeds Ninetales and Typhlosion with full EV's at an equal level, which are the strongest pokemon you'll need to worry about on that gym. Drop Rock Slides and hope you don't miss, and you'll exit this battle with a badge and no scars.

  18. Considering Heart Scales are a rare commodity, with all the rare amount of mining rocks that exist in game as-is, I would advise against that unless absolutely necessary

  22. Grab mudkip from Byxbysion wastelands. You have no dominant water type, raise piplup if you want but IMO swampert is a better slow mixed attacker.
  23. alright type coverage, imo you need a better special attacker. I'd go with alakazam (the abra you get in 7th street)
  24. I actually had no trouble not using gyarados at all in this runthrough. Probably because I ran with a Froakie as a starter. But PLEASE Ame don't take away Gardevoir. Ralts and Kirlia are absolutely horrible to deal with until you're level 30; the payoff is worth it.
  25. 1. That's a good idea 2. Huh? 3. Too broken 4. All three are ridiculously powerful if used correctly. Well not like competition powerful but more useful than you would think for a game.
