  1. I bet the next gym battle will be with Titania or Amaria, but it will only raise the level cap to 72.
  2. Hey, can I get a modest Froakie with Protean, good Special attack and speed IVs and the move ice beam? That would cost 150 right?
  3. Gardevoir is actually pretty good in this battle. Teach it shadow ball, moonblast, and calm mind. He leads with exeggutor and reuniclis, which cant touch gardevoir once you start setting up. The field effect doubles the power of calm mind, so you get +6 in three turns. After that, the only one you have to be careful about is the metagross.
  4. Everyone wants froakie it seems.
  5. No worries, do you still need eevee? I'm pretty sure I have that sitting around somewhere.
  6. I can breed you a beldum. Can I get the trapinch with lucky egg?
  7. I'd also like starters otherwise unattainable (I also chose torchic). In particular I'd like Turtwig and Froakie.
  8. I was trying to breed moves onto a chespin. To do that I needed to breed my male chespin with a ditto until I got a female to breed with other stuff. There are now two full boxes of male chespins in my PC. Also, the chess puzzles irritated me because I saw other ways to mate but the way the controls are set up I couldn't move my pieces into the right positions.
  9. The first time I fought Sirius I beat 5 of his pokemon without trouble, and then his Honchkrow ran through my team like a hot knife through butter. Made me sad. The chatot was rough but gyarados is OP so it was k.
  10. Durant Tier B Availability: Mid-late Movepool: Good. I'll start with the bad. Durant has the special defense stat of a wet noodle, and hustle makes him unreliable sometimes. Ok, now on to the good. This thing is pretty fast and hits like a freight train. Bug steel is a pretty good typing that can somewhat offset his special weakness. One of his big draws (for me at least) is that he destroys some of the big threats on the later gym leaders; Noel's Clefable and Radomus's gardevoir, along with most of Luna's team. His movepool includes some strong options such as Iron head, x-scissor, dig, crunch, and rock slide. Durant is high risk, high reward. Players with anger management issues should not use Durant, otherwise they just might punch a hole in their computer screen when he misses an X--scissor or iron head. Darmanitan Tier B or A Availability: mid-late Movepool: Good. Words don't even describe how strong this thing is. I don't know what they were smoking at game freak when they decided to give it 140 base attack and sheer force. You don't even have to use flare blitz if you don't like the recoil damage. Fire punch with the sheer force boost still hits amazingly hard. For coverage Darmanitan gets access to strong fighting moves like Superpower, Hammer Arm, and brick break. For even more overwhelming power, if you get the opportunity you can set up a belly drum to end all life in the reborn region. While darmanitan has pretty bad defenses, he has pretty good hp and speed so he can usually live long enough to annihilate something.
  11. Protean is an amazing ability, but I think its hard to justify putting Greninja in S tier simply because of movepool. On the special side his best available options are Water pulse, extrasensory, dark pulse, and hydro pump, the latter 3 of which come very late. Physical is slightly better, as nightslash/shadowsneak/smack down is actually pretty strong (and available early), but without waterfall he's lacking a reliable water attack. Its worth noting that breeding can help the problem somewhat. As soon as you get ditto you can get scald and near the end of episode 11 you can get ice beam. Still, Greninja's available movepool leaves a lot to be desired IMO.
  12. I feel like I post this is almost every noel thread, but cofagrigus ruins the birds. Burn the staraptor, mummy the swellow, that's two pokemon doing absolutely nothing. Burning the cincinno is nice, but be careful because it still hits stupidly hard.
  13. Does your gyarados have intimidate? If so, you can do some fancy switching between gyarados and golem to drop her pokemon's attack. Bring in gyarados, then switch to golem to take the rock move/thunderpunch, then back to gyarados to take the ground/fighting move. Once the threats are weakened you can bring in something to kill them. As far as I recall lucario is her only special attacker, and your blaziken should be able to 1v1 it. Just be careful because she will start predicting your switches after a while (or just randomly use a different attack).
  14. I'm always an advocate for ampharos. Decent bulk (can take a hit or two) and strong special attack, but it real strength is movepool. In a game without many TMs, this thing has insane coverage, getting access to Discharge, Power gem, signal beam, dragon pulse, and fire punch. The only worry is that this would leave your team kind of weak to ground.
  15. Yamask/Cofagrigus Availability: Mid Stats: Good Movepool: Below average Tier recommendation: A or B Comments: Yamask evolves almost immediately after you catch it (2 levels) and turns into a defensive beast. With a +spdef nature you can tank special hits pretty well, but cofagrigus really shines on the physical side. 145 defense backed by will o wisp makes enemy physical attackers cry. He can also shell out pretty good damage with hex/shadow ball and can very easily stall out most pokemon with curse/wisp. His low hp does limit his bulk somewhat, but he's still one of the best tanks available. Mummy is an amazing ability that can nullify threats such as noel's swellow. His only issues are poor speed and a somewhat shallow movepool, which doesn't provide a good way to hit normals (besides his stall and the possibility of HP fighting).
  16. My Cofagrigus was extremely useful for this fight. Will o'wisp can cripple cinccino and staraptor and if you can bait the swellow into using brave bird (send out a fighting type, then immediately switch) it loses guts and becomes completely useless.
