I got one word for ya: Spectacle. In all seriousness, though, they're after the same thing as most of the canon "Team X"s: Resetting either society or the World (or Universe) to how it was in an earlier time period. I mean, look at it: Aqua wanted to reset the world back to how it was before the continents formed, Magma wanted to reset the world back to before the oceans formed,the first Plasma wanted to reset the world to how it was before Humans and Pokemon had learned to work together, Flare wanted to reset the world back to before life had come into existence, and Galactic wanted to hit the reset button for the entire Universe. Looking at our game, Team Meteor wants to reset the Reborn Region back to how it was like before Humans arrived. The only exceptions to this are Rocket and the second Plasma, which both just wanted to accumulate power; and Team Skull, whose motives we don't know yet. The similarities are strikingly apparent, don't you think? So why not have them either nearly or actually succeed in their goals?

They drive away everyone by either drying up or flooding the region after they refine the design a bit.

I was more thinking of it being along the lines of "While PULSE Machine is active, Weather randomly fluctuates between all of the possible ones for the time it currently is." I was also thinking it could change to a random weather on an every-few-seconds basis. For example, it could be thunderstorming one second, and the next second you're in the middle of a drought.

A logical progression for this would be to have them hook up a Castforme if Team Meteor wanted to induce some crazy weather.

Put a steel type in a PULSE and you've got yourself a blender! (Get it? because blenders have a "pulse" setting? ... I'll let myself out now.)

There is also the concept of either having NPCs or having people controlling multiple PCs...

Don't you two realize that doing that would be turning the MC into part of Team Meteor? By doing what the bad guys do, you become one of them. They'll also probably be covered with acne, which would be representing how damaged the Region is both physically and socially... Well, how damaged it WAS up until E16 comes out.

That actually happened in Rejuvenation, IIRC. It'd probably be Cain, IMHO. You do remember how he tried to go mono-poison, but broke from it because his Oshawott insisted on joining him? Plus, it'd be fun to play as him~ I can say with about 98% certainty that Victoria won't be the one to die. She wasn't in any of the Visions in Shade's Gym; someone else was.

Some people actually make a living off of the mechanic. Besides, how would you like it if every human were identical? It'd get pretty boring after a while. IVs are a way for Pokemon to have a bit of individuality.

Not even close. Neither of those characters have a vision for them in Shade's Gym. I'll link you to the thread that goes over which characters have visions here.

I doubt that it'll be anything but a Death that occurs, as she said "Permanently." [EDIT]: I think it might be Lin, as she's part of the only Screen that happened in Shade's Gym that has not occurred in the main game yet.

Once Sun and Moon are released, the Gen7 Starters will become available in the following Reborn Update, much like with Gen6's Starters. Whether or not they'll become obtainable in the main game after that point is up to the Reborn Devs.
