Clint walked slowly behind Logan as he entered the main gates. He reached into his pocket and lit up another cigarette. He walked past the main group and tossed all the money he'd collected from the rest of the cadets on the ground. "All right, why don't ya'll figure out who won. I didn't catch nothin', so I can't say I really care." With that Clint walked over to the nearest wall, focusing more on his cigarette than the other cadets.

Oarloff walked into his room giddily, a big goofy smile across his face. "They's gonna love it!" he said to himself as he walked into his room and picked up his harp. He then turned to the goat. "Don't worry Misturr Buttons, papa and me is gonna take you to Old Man Nectis's house to live, you'll be very very safe there." Without further adieu Oarloff turned around, harp in hand and faced the group. He lifted the instrument onto the near end of the bar and began picking the strings. At first it sounded like he was randomly hacking at the strings, hitting each one with reckless abandon, then he nodded, muttering something about it being all good and began to play

Oarloff smiled at the elf. "Ooh ... that man isn't a mean man, he was just kidding! Me thought he was being serious. Har har. What a silly joke, Misturr Buttons isn't food." Oarloff looked at Xavier's hand, but instead of taking it he reached over and hugged Xavier in a similar fashion he had done to Odin. "Oh me know, would you like to hear a song? Me very good at playing the harp, right papa?"

A loud crash was heard from inside the room. "Ummm... Me just be a minute papa," A deep, dim-witted voice proclaimed from inside the room. The voice then attempted to turn into a whisper, but with little affect, so that just about everyone in the pub could here what was going on inside. "You need to be quiet Misturr Buttons, you're being a very naughty goatie." Just then the door cracked open and a massive head, that stood roughly 8 feet from the ground popped out. Despite his enormous stature, Oarloff didn't look too intimidating. He had all of the standard ogre features, but his face seemed softer than one would expect of an ogre. His eyes were a bright blue, his cheeks slightly puffed, and his nose snubbed. All in all he looked like a teddy bear. Well, if that teddy bear was the size of a normal bear and had been completely shaved. "Is that you Misturr Thunderbrew!" The giant ogre, jumped for joy and quickly bolted from his room. Now his full body was exposed. He wore a shirt and pants, roughly three sizes too small. His enormous belly could be seen hanging out from the shirt, while the pants left his calves exposed. Oarloff ran over to Odin and gently rapped his arms around as gently as an 8 foot ogre could rap his arms around a dwarf. "Me haven't seen you in a long time Misturr Thunderbrew, did you bring any of me favorite ale?" Oarloff asked. However, now that the Ogre had opened his door, the reason for the crash could be fully explained. A goat lay in his room, with a small leather leash rapped around his neck and tied to Oarloff's bed post. "Uhh it's not what it looks like papa," Oarloff said, standing and looking back over at Abraham, "Misturr buttons had mean owners, so me decided to take him home so he could be safe from those nasty farmers."

What Mr. Taylor is planning isn't directly evil. It's just incredibly dangerous, which is why he doesn't want to try it while anyone else is around. And you guys really decided to travel with Marcus? Well, good luck.- 1735 replies

Under the Hill - Third Circle: Gluttony
Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Mr. Taylor licked his lips. He couldn't say he was all too happy about Phantom's decision, but again he wasn't too disappointed. Perhaps it was best not to act at this time, the plan was dangerous and could backfire easily. No for now he'd travel with Phantom, perhaps one of the strongest warriors they've encountered thus far. And he was certainly a good man. Mysterious. But, he could be trusted. "Well then lad," Mr. Taylor began, "Perhaps we should avoid heading in the same direction as the rest of the group. They seem to always bring trouble about and to be honest with you, I'd like to move through this level as quickly as possible. Now, you have quite the gift and it doesn't seem to have as many negative consequences as mine. If we travel in short bursts through your 'Phantom zone' than we can make our way through without getting in to any fights. With my sense of direction we should be able to move through swiftly. As an aside, if necessary, I can use my ability to heal our bodies. Though, there is quite a cost that comes with that. If such a thing happens be prepared for my memory to lapse. I haven't used it enough to know the extent of what happens to my mind, but be prepared for anything." Mr. Taylor's face grew more serious, "Be prepared for me to act in any way. There are parts of my past that are ... less than honorable. And of course if you find it necessary, put me down. I won't blame you when I awaken." -

((I guess we'll just go back, since nobody else is really doing anything right now.)) Clint chuckled, "You're probably right about Nate, that dude's got good taste. Erick'll have somethin' cool, but it'll be kinda weird like the rest of his GAO's, he's into the brainy stuff. I'm not worried about Kenny gettin' a big thing. He's smart, but he's too nice. He's like a boy scout. He never gets the best stuff, but he makes it work. I'll tell ya man. I think you got a great shot of winnin' the thing. I mean your dinosaur kicks ass, and it's a god damn dinosaur. I mean what kid doesn't think dinosaurs are cool ya know?" Clint looked back up and he could see the base off in the distance. "Look up that way, I think we're gettin' pretty close."

Mr. Taylor decided he would stay behind for the time being. He had made the decision that if Marcus was to travel with the rest of the group, then he most certainly wouldn't. They should have killed him where he stood. But, of course they didn't. They were good honest people. Just like he'd tried to be. But, it was that line of thinking that had gotten him killed in the first place. He thought he could talk to Marcus and deal with him that way. He thought he could be an honest archaeologist after dealing with the Soviets. He thought he could be a brave soldier, like the men in movies when he'd been shipped off to war. But, of course each time he'd tried to do the right thing he lost. Hell if there was anything Mr. Taylor had learned after his seventy odd years on this Earth, it was that nice guys do indeed finish last. And Mr. Taylor was tired of finishing last. But, it was too early to put his plan in to effect, Phantom was still afoot, for now he'd have to wait. Mr. Taylor looked up at the masked man and began talking in his normal gentle voice, "Well, I'm not going with the man who killed me. But, what will you do? I suppose it's your choice really, you can travel with an old man or with a group of valiant warriors such as yourself. Just know though, that whatever your choice may be, I don't blame you and I still thank you for saving my life." -
Maximus nodded at Trystane, then turned back to answer Stratos. "I have to agree with the hunter here. There is no way I'll further disgrace my families name, by running from a monster such as this 'Rossephus'. If you need my lance then it is yours, Sky Slayer."

Maximus wasn't usually the peeping type, but this time it seemed a bit different. The journal that Atton had given to the hunter seemed too important not to peep over at. And it was in fact far too important not to read. The contents revealed something Maximus would have had a hard time believing if he hadn't been here for the 'resurrection.' The truth of a dark god, manipulating man kind since the end of the Nix War. It was infuriating. To believe that so many people had spilled there own blood to aid Azuaqyar, only to die in the aid of someone who meant to destroy them. Maximus cursed under his breath. He was finally able to piece most of what was going on together, but there were still mysteries. Maximus looked back up at Stratos and Atton. Noticing a change in Stratos happen quickly then go back to normal. Maximus decided to ignore it and focus on the task at hand. "So, these keys. Do we know of there location?"

Mr. Taylor's expression turned sour. Who the hell did this kid think he was? First, he stabbed him and now he was lying about it. But, still he was starting to notice a rift in the group. They didn't trust him as much, perhaps it was the whole Michael incident or perhaps it was his inability to help in combat. Whatever it was though, it was certainly tangible. He'd have to be careful about how this was handled. He reached for his whip, not pulling it out yet, but at the ready, just in case Marcus pounced. "Before anyone here makes a judgement, hear me out," Mr. Taylor began addressing the group, while Marcus was still frozen, "If we both have contradicting statements, then I'm afraid it's safe to say one of us must be lying. Now, if Marcus here did kill me, then the reason he lied is simple. Because of course he'd rather live, so he can slit our throats as we sleep," Mr. Taylor then reeled around and caught Marcus's eyes, "But, tell me boy. Why would I lie?" -
Clint chuckled. "Well only the best GAO gets the pot and we already know that your dinosaur is better than my puff ball. So there ain't no way in hell I'm gettin' that prize." Clint turned back and pointed. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure base is this way. I remember going down this path on the way here." With that Clint turned and started walking down the path, knowing that Logan would likely follow.

Mr. Taylor was deep in his thoughts after the first lad had shown up. He engaged Phantom and Rose in a conversation, something Mr. Taylor wasn't exactly interested in. Instead he was more interested in figuring a way out. The structure of these humongous tunnels seemed strange and the place seemed peaceful enough. Was this it, would every circle be structured the same way. Some sort of pleasant feeling, mixed with something awful? If so, then perhaps there'd be a great opportunity here. With each circle they could hone a simple strategy, something they could use quickly and effectively to reach the bottom. He'd already asked Phantom about phasing through the walls, though he seemed pre-occupied with the new comer now. If he could find Kenny, perhaps the same strategy could be useful. That might even be the simplest way to the bottom. Use Phantom to scout out the exit, then Phantom could tell Kenny where it was and teleport them there. Now if only they could find where Kenny had gotten too. "There's no need for that, my friends." The voice sounded familiar. Mr. Taylor chuckled to himself as he turned around. Unfortunately though Kenny's face wasn't the one that hit his eyes first. "You .... bastard!" Mr. Taylor screamed as he reached and pulled out his empty pistol. "How dare you! You kill me? Then show up acting as a friend?" Mr. Taylor turned to the rest of the group. "This is him, this is the bastard who stabbed me." -
Maximus's head was still ringing. He thought he was dead after his decision to charge ... whatever it was that he had charged at. But, it seemed as though the two new comers had somehow been able to fight that thing off. It was bizarre. Maximus was used to being a top tier fighter, often taking any of his class mates in combat. But, tonight it seemed like just about everyone he met was capable of fighting Gods. Or were Gods. Maximus shook off the dazed feeling, he'd been asked a question, by someone. Atton he thought it was, well whatever his name, this person wanted to know who he was. "My name is Maximus," he began starting to pick himself back up, "As you've guessed I'm an Ekarder, from the Drake Vale. A recent graduate. My mother sent me here after graduation. She said something about needing more God in my life," Maximus let off a little chuckle, "I suppose I disagreed."

Everything was happening too damn fast. Lightning flew across the sky. It looked like the sky slayer had been crushed. Rodriguez had disappeared into some portal. Azuaqyar, looked different from any of the pictures and was about to kill the sky slayer. And now? Now Steele Splinter was talking to him? It was urging him to join the fray. To fight alongside the sky slayer and fight ... well, whoever the Azuaqyar impostor supposed to be. The severity of the situation was definitely not lost on Maximus, but the details certainly were. He had no idea what to do. Hell, there was only one thing to do. If he'd learned anything tonight it was that perhaps the sky slayer was a good man. Rodriguez had defended him and now his own lance was defending him. So, there was only thing Maximus felt he could or should do at this point. He should defend the sky slayer. Maximus leaped from the roof top. Steele Splinter in hand. He could feel the heat of his weapon building in his palms. It was almost as if the thrill of battle was exciting his weapon. But, Maximus paid it no mind. He began his charge, reckless and foolish as it may be. He aimed directly at the man who had been brought into his world. The man with who was about to slay the sky slayer. He ignored all of the by-standers who were fleeing the scene. He ignored any of the church men, who wide likely have stopped him if they weren't busy trying to figure out what the hell was happening. He even ignored a threat that someone had made. Something about explosives. Maximus was fully engulfed now. He had but one mission in his mind. His target would die.

Clint shrugged. He didn't want to argue with Logan, he had a lot of respect for him as both a GAO trainer and as a person. In fact he knew that Logan was technically right, but quitting wasn't really Clint's style. Still, though Logan didn't seem interested in giving Clint a lecture, so Clint decided to agree to disagree with his fellow cadet and focus on Logan's latter question. "Sure, man I'd appreciate that," he began reaching for his belt, then stopping, "But, let's head back to base first. I'm sure someone's going to be ready to take my five dollars, since I sure as hell didn't win the pot."

Under the Hill - Third Circle: Gluttony
Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Mr. Taylor couldn't help but smell a nice steak's scent in the air. Scratch that, Mr. Taylor could taste the steak. The old man looked down at his rumbling stomach, with a mild smile. It wasn't hard to figure out what sin this was supposed to be. But, despite the crushing hunger, Mr. Taylor pushed through the tunnel to catch up with Phantom and the others. He was still adjusting to the stick he'd been using as a cane. After the Michael 'experience' Mr. Taylor had lost his bag and cane, and had ran out of bullets when fighting off 'the loving dead.' This left the old man armed with a walking stick and a whip he'd made in his 'Michael phase.' When Mr. Taylor finally emerged from the tunnel he noticed the massive structure he was now standing in and couldn't help but admire his surroundings. In fact so far,t he third level of hell was pretty nice. The scent was wonderful, though inappropriate, since Mr. Taylor knew he likely wouldn't be eating. The structure seemed well built and oddly beautiful. Yup, just about everything in this circle was nice. Well, except for the fact that Rose was clearly crying. Mr. Taylor leaned down next to the crying magician, not uttering a word just waiting and taking in his surroundings. Mr. Taylor knew to never ask someone what was wrong. If they wanted to tell you what was happening, they would. Instead Mr. Taylor looked up to his newest companion, Phantom. "Well lad, it appears that the sin in this circle is gluttony," he said, sniffing the air again, "However, the structure of this place, could be advantageous to us. You see these walls? I wonder if this place is a labyrinth, designed to lead us through several twists and turns, until we can finally make our way through," he smirked coolly, hoping that Phantom would be able to understand the plan, "If that is the case, then with your abilities, we should be able to phase through most of the challenges in this place and quickly reach the next circle." -
Rocky slowly pushed himself upward to take one last look at the knocked out Monferno. He smirked slyly at his unconscious rival, a feeling of victory rushed over him. Then he couldn't keep himself up anymore, the punch from his rival had done it's job. Rocky collapsed back onto the ground, unconscious. Clint took Rocky's sphere out and recalled his partner. A great wave of pride washed over Clint. Yes, technically the battle was a tie, but Rocky had stayed awake just a moment longer than his opponent. That type of fighting spirit meant a lot to Clint. He stared at Rocky's sphere and couldn't help but give off a smile, but he knew he'd have to explain himself to Logan. "Sorry about that Logan, I just couldn't call him back, ya know?" Clint looked back over at the other trainer, doing his best not to gloat, "Rocky's been training so hard to beat Ace. I think Rocky thinks that your GAO is his rival or somethin'. Anyway, after he changed like that, I could see it in his eyes, he had to win." Clint started thinking back to Logan's partner Crush and how it had blatantly disobeyed him in battle. "Sometimes you just have to let your partners finish the match out, ya know? They may get hurt, but it's worth it. These GAOs, they're fighters, they live for a good battle and when you take it away from them ... Well, they don't forget that."

Rocky turned quickly to notice his enemy's attack. The Monferno was now flying at him with a flaming kick, and Rocky wasn't quite sure how to responded. Clint yelled to dodge, and the lizard fighter responded. It had enough time to jump in the air. The fighter was somewhat lucky, if it had taken the attack full force he likely would have been down for the count. However, the fighter was also very unlucky. While, the attack missed most of the newly evolved GAO's body, it did hit his leg. The force of the attack was huge, and as a result, Rocky's leg began to bend. The wrong way. Rocky fell to the ground after the attack, not screaming as his previous form might have done, but glaring at his opponent. His leg was completely broken and Clint was about to call him back, but the fighter's spirit wasn't broken. Rocky pushed himself on to his head and started spinning again. Clint raised an eyebrow he was shocked at Rocky's resolve, when he was a Tyrogue he was one of the toughest GAO's. But, now it seemed like the fighter didn't know the meaning of quit. And Clint loved every second of it. "All right Rock, finish this ape!" Rocky grinned for the first time in its new form and began spinning toward his opponent. His speed was remarkable as he spun forward, nearing his opponent. The fighter slammed his hands on the ground and pushed himself off of his head, and forward at Ace. As the new GAO flew through the air, he extended his good leg. Preparing himself for one final high jump kick. If the attack landed, the new GAO would likely pull off the win, but if it didn't, well with a broken leg there'd be no way for him to dodge the next attack.

Rocky was nailed bacwardk as the Monferno hit him. Out of all of the attacks thrown out so far, this one was the hardest hitting. But, it wasn't just the force of the impact that hit the small fighter. After the Tyrogue landed the flames from Ace's attack covered Rocky. In response, the tiny fighter did the only thing he could to put out the flames. He jumped on his head and started spinning. Clint was livid. Not only was Rocky getting his ass handed to him, but now it was doing the only thing Clint had explicitly said not to do. "Cut that out Rocky!' he called to his partner. But, the orders of his master didn't stop Rocky from spinning. Instead, it seemed as though the Tyrogue only continued to spin harder as his master protested. Soon, the flames were dispersed, but that didn't stop the fighter. He continued to keep spinning, picking up more and more speed, until a white light engulfed him. Clint's expression changed instantly as he realized what was happening. His partner was finally experiencing the same change that many of the other GAOs had experienced. As Rocky continued to spin, it's new form became apparent. It grew larger. The spikes on it's head seemed to flatten in order to make a makeshift sort of hat. Large claws bust from his hands and feet. It grew a massive tail, along with a horn on it's head. Then as quickly as the white light had appeared it vanished. Taking Clint's Tyrogue, and leaving behind a newer, stronger, faster GAO. The new lizard stopped skinning and turned back to face it's opponent. Clint was about to give a command, but the new GAO didn't waste any time, waiting for orders. It took it's fist and flashed forward at his opponent, copying the same attack it had launched the first time, a quick punch, but this time with a larger amount of power behind the blow.
