I like the way you have structured it.. but i feel it makes it like any other pokemon game.. instead of just you defeating the other clans maybe you could have mini fights with your gang members fighting the opposing gangs?? so it would be like when you recruit members then they have any one pokemon and after that you can buy more pokemon and train the pokemon of gang members using money.. though it would mean you cannot set the moves etc. but you get to use these pokemon and fight as your gang member in the mini matches.. just to add variety to the gameplay.. i don't think much coding would be required for it either.. the mechanics of it would be similar to using the rented pokemon at that place in the battle frontier.. the additional part would only be the ability to buy and train the pokemon.. but i guess that could come from the reborn script of the guy in 7th street and training could come directly from a few modifications to the day care script.. just a thought.. it would seem more realistic..

Hey i was wondering if somebody could rename this topic to "Theme/TV Show based Pokemon Teams" ?? I would like to put up more types of teams.. and that would allow people to put up teams of other stuff they also like.. Like I have a GoT based bunch ready..

I can help with the story if required.. I dont really have much knowledge with coding.. i guess i could even give maping a shot.. and some spriting if required..

its a nice concept.. but i guess it would require more than just going after the guild masters.. if you can do better with the part about making your own gang then it would be interesting.. and not just follow for 300 steps.. actually have a proper gang who can do missions for you and earn money.. further you can have a common pokemon for the gang as its mascot.. and you can have happiness values for gang members also.. and unhappy members will leave the gang... stuff like that..

If there is place then use shedinja!! .. JK.. Frosslass/Drifblim seems like a good option..

the whole point is not to change.. choose 6 and stick with them.. though i personally wouldn't use a semi legendary team... i find it more fun to play with regular pokemon..

i can do the hacking myself for you guten.. let me know if you are interested. was just putting it up for anybody interested in the challenge.. i like the idea about the slow 6 as well.. however incase people don't like eevees/slow pokemon if some suggestions about randomized teams can be made it would be appreciated.. another variation is to allow 2 substitutions.. in such a case you start with 8 pokemon + HM slave.. and anytime during your run you can switch out any of your 2 pokemon with 2 in the box.. however those that are switched out have to be released.. so in the eeveelution case we can keep glaceon and leafeon in the box to be switched in later..

So i read Jericho's post on some topic about hacking and using a team of the same type as a gymleader.. It got me thinking of another idea..A fixed team.. for the entire playthrough.. The basic idea is that you ask people to suggest a team for you and you use only that team from the start.. You can change the moves etc. of the pokemon as much as you like but you cannot change the 6 pokemon.. Evolution is allowed though.. and one HM slave.. For example if I were to suggest a team for Cepheus it would be an eeveelution team. Jolteon Umbreon Vaporeon Sylveon Flareon Espeon The idea is to start with 6 eevees and the 3 required element stones and as many happiness berries as needed(if someone can give an exact figure it would be appreciated).. that way theres the option of evolving the pokemon whenever required.. So any suggestions for this would be nice.. also ways to make the challenge more fun.. Maybe something like Like no repeating the pokemon No legendary/pseudo legendary pokemon No starters No fully evolved pokemon PS: Not sure if this is the right place for this, so if it needs to be moved could somebody put it in the correct place.. thanks..

thanks for the suggestions people... @ Ceph.. well tsunade as jynx was a joke a friend suggested.. though her punching/slapping moves and that she can learn wish made me decide to keep her.. though i admit i like nidoqueen better.. will be changing it.. shikamaru i wanted as a deer since it is his clan name 'Nara'. further cobalion is the leader of the swords and his nature is similar to shikamarus.. shikamaru plays a similar role in the genin squads and later in the shinobi war.. @Cowtao.. i dont get it.. why should snorlax be pain?? he is best suited for choji according to me.. @simon.. and i couldn't really think of anything for tenten thats why scizor.. she is a weapons specialist but didnt wanna put aegislash etc.. @telos.. ya thats a better match.. was initially thinking of putting luxray for kakashi, but chose dusknoir for him cuz of the one eye thing and him also having thunderpunch.. will change sasuke to luxray.. @shady.. well i havent put in any of the jinchuriki cuz i put in the tailed beasts instead.. EDIT: Which reminds me.. you guys should check out darmanitan and son goku.. they look very similar..
