      For design I would say gen 1, always. Usefulness is kinda tricky.. Maybe cause of greninja gen 6 would be better than others..

      I'm not entirely sure because each of them have their own roles that's fairly unique. I prefer Gen II because that was where I started, but I have learned to appreciate them all.
