      Pardon my lack of insight into the British system of education, but I was under the impression that one didn't get public support while doing higher education?

      Or am I misunderstanding what you referred to when you said: "make up the THOUSAND FUCKING QUID IM LOSING POINTLESSLY "

      basically i have a contract for a years accommodation at uni in the halls, the money provided to me by student finance, the public support we get, wasn't enough to pay the entire stay, so far i've made two payments with the money given to me and the third will be using my own money. However, because of the schedule change, i will essentially have no need to stay in accommodation and thus it is a waste of the money.

      Anyway, thanks for explaining your situation. I find it very fascinating to hear about the different ways of structuring the systems of higher education in various countries.

      Hopefully, you'll find a good resolution to the dilemma that has come before you.
