      Yes, because anything like that should be taken in stride and learned from. You make up for a mistake, by learning from it. If you never learn and you get down about it, you will keep making that mistake. However, if you take that opportunity to learn from it, you will become a better person.

      ^Well, what I assume they mean is that yes you SHOULD be affected by the fact that you had bad grades. But don't let that stop you from learning and whatnot. Grades may not be everything, but they are still important.
