Dreams crushed, the Mega Sceptile is Shota's after all. Whoever made that poster in Corocoro is a moron, why would you put Shota's Pokemon in the middle of Ash's team and not have Shota himself anywhere on the poster?
Where does it mention that the Mega Sceptile is Sawyer? Not having Sawyer on the poster is pretty weird, and Ash WAS genuinely shocked that Sceptile could evolve. Almost like he was remembering his OWN Sceptile, right?
Well in the released XY&Z opening, Sawyer was using it in baytle against Ash's Greninja. Speaking of which, it seems we kinda know how Ash's Greninja becomes as it is. Also it seems like it may have increaed in power considerable since it went toe-to-toe with Mega Sceptile.
