As soon as Alina finished talking, Grace pulled out a map of the forest. She was sure that there were mudkip somewhere near where she found Dratini, so she planned out the longest possible route that would take her there and back. The longer the route meant more and more training for her pokemon, and more chances to coordinate with them better. After all, this battle would be more like a battle royale instead of a fair 1v1 match. She also wanted a chance to practice her Thunder Storm spell, which definitely needed better control over where it went and how big it got. Bigger "storms" meant more energy used, and it wouldnt be useful if she caught her own pokemon in friendly fire.

Grace scribbled notes as fast as she could. She was not particularly good at abbreviations or narrowing down notes to just the main idea, but she was god at remembering every little detail in lectures, so much that she often didnt need notes. Today's lecture was even more fast paced than usual, Alina liked to speed through lectures and give the students lots of extra time, a trait that Grace appreciated. After all, it was her only chance to work on stuff until her free period before magic. And during that time, it was often devoted to mastering the spell so she could show off in class later. Emerald was right. She was good at magic.

*head smashes desk* You still have 6 spells. Aura scythe isnt a spell, you dont have to have a barrier, and its not limited to one type. Neither is the ability enhancing spell

ABSOL. YOU HAVE 6 SPELLS MASTERED. YOURE ONLY ALLOWED TO HAVE 4. AND HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT AURA SPHERE ISNT A MOVE Here's the list of offensive spells. All move effects shoud be self-explanatory (WIP) and yes, I know, some of then are VERY creative (sarcasm implied) Energy Ball Style: Fire bomb (fire) Whirlpool (water) Energy leech (grass) Thunderstorm (electric) Ice Drain (ice) Crystal spear (rock) Earth Power (ground) Iron thorns (steel, dunno where that came from, but its literally an endless supply of senbon) Teleportation Arrows (psychic, and yes, im directly referring to your abilities, Kagome) Spirit Bind (ghost, binds a target's soul to an inanimate object for a short period of time. More useful for stalling) Darkness Prison (dark, creates a 1v1 arena) Aura beam (fighting, think lucario in SSBB) Gale scythe (flying) *I have no idea for a bug-type spell. The only thing that ever comes to mind is Shino's bugs* Poison Bubbles (poison, pop those bubbles and release some poison gas!) Dragon Fangs (dragon, Murdoc's idea) Fairy Mist (fairy, similar to misty terrain and poison bubbles) Barrier Style: Dont feel like making names for em all, so lets just say type+ barrier Ability Style: enhances type and lowers damage dealt from weaknesses, and gives you a few other special abilities Fire: Blaze Grass: Overgrow Water: torrent Electric: Volt absorb Ice: SNow warning Rock: Sturdy ground: Sand stream Steel: Iron Head Psychic; telepathy Ghost: aftermath Dark: pressure Fighting: justified flying: levitate bug: swarm poison: Poison touch Dragon: mold breaker Fairy: Pixilate

Oh yeah, and aura sphere isnt a spell, and neither is gale slash. I believe youre referring to gale scythe. Ditto Murdoc.

Sheesh, follow my format! You do have to have some healing spell, youre in Emerald's class! Skills are speed, accuracy, and power, and theyre on a scale of 1-5. the total of your skills must be under 11

I'd better start thinking about my fourth pokemon. Everyone I know has four pokemon, my magic is good enough, and my accuracy...is probably never going to get that good. I wonder who Im going to face off against? Jake? Sarcus? Orpha? Once again, Alina had given them extra time at the end of the period, so Grace tore out a piece of paper from her notebook and scratched out a table. She was currently only weak to steel, ground, and fire, had no supereffective moves on electric, steel, and fire. Fire and steel huh? A poliwrath or swampert would work, but then I'd have to worry about grass types. She walked up to Alina. "How do the battle portions of the exams work? "You'll hear this from Emerald later, but you, and all your pokemon are going to fight against another student and their pokemon. The test runs on a point basis, 100 points per portion. There's a 25 question written test on linking, you'll be asked to throw knives, show your magic teacher how good you are at that category of magic, and battle. You need a minimum of 375 points to pass." replied Alina

No, I was referring to the same thing. Riolu is level 17, houndour and sneasel are both level 20, deino is level 21. And you do have to include your current skills and spells. Healing only counts as one

Oh yeah, what level are your pokemon? Mine are: Angel(9) Guardian (10) Sakura (11) Oh yeah, I forgot to add, your team can have one hidden ability pokemon, one pokemon with up to 2 egg moves, and you are NOT allowed to have OHKO moves on ANY pokemon.

You walk into your first period class today. The teacher taps the board, catching everyone's attention. "Your Exams are this Friday! You will be tested on physical ability, performance in magic, knowledge on linking, and you will have to battle another one of your fellow students. Dont worry if you win or lose, since the test is set up so all may pass or none may pass regardless of the battle results. They will influence your base ranking once you graduate, however." What will you do? Today is Wednesday. Are you going to study, train, or practice? OOC: All of your pokemon's levels are 10 higher than when you left off in the previous chapter. You can also master up to 4 spells. (ex: Demon shapeshifting (illusion), fire barrier (offense), gale blades (offense), and invisibility (illusion) You also have to rate your character's skills in accuracy since this term's main focus was accuracy. (1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being perfect, and this cannot be changed until later.)

After half an hour, Shimmer put her marker down, and called, "Today's homework is to practice the basic energy ball like I showed you. I expect you all to be able to do it when we meet again two days later. Youre dismissed." The bell rang soon after, and Grace darted out the door to train with her dratini. (dratini rose 2 levels, and is now level 9)

A faint smile appeared on Shimmer's face. "Yes." Grace blinked, confused. Then she smacked herself on the forehead. Why did I forget? Shimmer showed us the ability enhancing spell to fly. Its Fairy type!
