    Something I always wonder when watching combo videos/tutorials in regards to fighting games: do people actually memorize all the combos, to use in an actual game against a human opponent? Like, do they really take the time to think "ehi this situation really calls for this or that combo"? Because no matter how I try (and regardless of the game/character) I cannot remember ALL the combos, I pretty much specialize in a specific style with specific combos, and wait for an opening for tho...

      I should mention... it probably depends on the game though I don;t know enough to properly answer you lol.

      In fighting games, you have to be able to predict opponents' moves and play accordingly. Combos do work as long as you know how to do them, and when you do it with good timing.

      You can also break combos, but I don't know many different fighting games, so I can't say for sure if all games work the same way.
