Am I the only one not-native English speaker who really can't speak English automatically ? I mean I think things first in my native language and then I wonder how I'm going to say it in English. This causes me sometimes a headache tbh.

I've travelled and dealt with travellers a lot, they'll be too busy being happy someone actually understands them to wonder about you accent. Hell, check out that accent thread in the Wasteland, the majority of people os interested in unusual accents, intrigued by them. idk wtf my accent's like yet that's never been a problem for me.

I'll move to my first apartment next month and I feel so nervous and stressed. It's an student apartment so I need to only pay the rent (electricity, water and internet belong to the rent) which is good since I don't need to care about other bills. But still I'm feeling really nervous haha.

I can't believe that I got to Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences and I'm on the 8th backup place for Turku University of Applied Sciences. I hope I can get to Turku but Seinäjoki is fine too.

Amnesty Int. just made a new petition for Finland's government because they ignored it and now there's 33 organisations who also want the current law to change. I think now it's actually going to change or I'm just getting my hopes up.

I explained Juhannus aka Midsummer festival to my Australian friend: "Yeah we Finns celebrate Midsummer by drinking, drowning and burning things." And I'm not even kidding that's basically every Juhannus expect now since it's raining the whole weekend.. well at least some people don't drown this year.

I'm really tired... I had 2 entrance exams and now there's a new entrance exam coming up. The entrance exam is for Turku University of Applied Sciences and I really hope I can get there on first try. I mean I can study 2 years in the vocational school but meh. But one thing I'm looking forward to is that I can finally build myself a new life... but still I'm really afraid of discrimination though. I have 2 entrance exams and I feel really scared and excited at the same time ? I hope I can get somewhere to study because my job ends next month (?) but it will be extra terrifying because I'm going to move from country side to a bigger city. I feel like I'm not ready for being an adult.

..Today we got the results for the new Finnish parliament. I think I should start saving money that I can move away from Finland. Our parliament is now really bigoted and there's no hope for things getting better.. but I think moving away from here will take years though..... I want to cry.

Norway just got a really good trans law... I don't know what kind of LGBT laws Iceland has but it's so fucking frustrating that Finland wants to be part of the western countries and be just like the other Nordics but human rights are still a big no. Well at least Finland isn't like some Eastern European countries but hey some human rights would be nice. Tbh I don't know how much longer I can take this.

Well it's true but things are started to go little bit backwards since one of the biggest political parties is True Finns and it's really racist, sexist, homo- and transphobic.. I really still can't believe that 30% of Finns agree with them and there's 5.4 million Finns so 30% is a really big number...

I forgot that the word limit existed sorry. But yeah I should learn a new language and I can't just move there and it's easier said than done.. but I could just go to a different country and move there I would already done that.. but there's a lot of problems and money is one of them.

I just saw Aurora Borealis for the first time. They were so pretty. I tried to take a picture but I was too slow. Fun fact: Aurora Borealis are called revontuli in Finnish and it literally means foxfire.
