"Thank you Mayanna. That was just what I needed." he said to the healer nearby. Morgan also chirps, happy that she came to help. Feeling renewed, Ecquis surveyed the new state of the battlefield. Having looked across the field, he saw the 3 strangers fight off all the soldiers that were around them. That made his job easier, since he could now focus on the soldiers fighting his comrades. Speaking of which, Rosa had managed to deal a devastating blow to one of the enemy soldiers. While not enough to take them down, it was enough to send them running back. Checking in the area towards the southern group, he sees the bow knight falling back. At his restored state, he could likely deal with a shot or two, but he would prefer that the others deal with him. Contemplating his options, he decides to support Rosa, who has taken a few hits. "That was quite a display! Well done indeed." Ecquis remarks. Morgan gives a roar of agreement as well. Moves to U2

"Well then, I suppose he was too stubborn to talk. Shame." Ecquis remarked after taking down the fighter. While his initial goal of taking him down was successful, he took a few too many hits. In addition to that, the bow knight seemed to be close enough to take a shot at him. That wouldn't be very good for him, especially in his current position. He decided that falling back would be a good idea. "It seems I have to fall back for a little while. Don't worry about me, I can manage." Ecquis states while searching for a suitable spot for him to move to. Moves to Y1

Having dealt with the first Mercenary, the rest of the enemy forces started mobilizing. The fighter before him had tried to fight him, but his speed on the wyvern outpaced him slightly. One hit would be enough to finish things, provided he could land it. Looking past, he noticed that the 3 strangers have managed to deal with some of the opposition on their side. That meant that his group could deal with this lot. "Alright Morgan, time for another go," he tells her before getting ready to strike. However, he does decide to pose a question to this fighter just before. "So then mister, care to tell us why you're chasing those three?" Attacks Fighter 1

I actually got decent growths this time. Wonderful.

"I suppose I should thank you," he replied to Luka, Looking besides him, he noticed that Rosa had come to support him. Confident that he had support, he turned his attention back to the mercenary. "You seem to have some sharp reflexes. Think you can manage it a second time?" Ecquis taunts before striking yet again. Attacks Mercenary 1

After surveying the area, the 3 individuals were further to the back. Trying to reach them may take a while, but if we take down their boss, that may be enough. Given the new battlefield, Ecquis decided to use Morgan as his mount. He felt like she could use the warm-up, and its been a while since he had brought her out. "So then, our objective is to help out those three eh? Well Morgan, lets deal with these brutes first," he states. Morgan roars in agreement, her green wings spreading out before they move on to their target. Moves to X3 and attacks mercenary 1 (Waiting Strike activates, +10 Crit)

"Mira and I grew up together. Or rather, I grew up alongside Mira and the other wyverns I have around. My parents were wyvern handlers, so I was around the wyverns for my entire life. Mira and a few others just grew to like me," he responded, petting Mira in the process. Mira gave a pleased chirp in response. "Also...they are some of the only family I have right now. They were the ones who were with me when I took my travels around the continent," he added in a noticeably lower tone. Remembering that point in time wasn't particularly pleasant. He had his wyverns as company and a few friends he met from his travels, but still...

"Caelum eh? That brings back memories" Ecquis muses while recalling the time he spent at Caelum. It was probably one of the nicer places he had been to, all things considering, "I myself am from Drakewall, a town near the mountain border of Dragao and Yukihana. That being said, more recently I had a slightly more permanent residence in Caelum." Ecquis didn't feel much like discussing his hometown as much, but he felt that his introduction would suffice...for now. Looking back to Meredith, he decides not to go after her. She has her own reasons for acting, and it isn't his place to try and find out. Not now anyways. Her opinions towards the Goddess is likely related to her past. Something that probably has to deal with the Dragao army in some way. However, now was not the time for that. While lost in though, Mira apparently moved him slightly closer to Rosalvya. She was one of the few people he hadn't talked to, though he wasn't sure whether she would be the person who wouldn't mind a friendly chat. "Not like that's stopped me before," he states before trying to talk to the lady. "So then, Rosalvya was it? Anything else you want us to know about you?"

Having heard Meredith's answer, Ecquis decided not to press her further. Not here anyways. Mira started grumbling slightly, something he had felt several times in the past. Based on her answer, it seems that Meredith hadn't just heard rumors. Based on her answer, she probably has personal information on the conditions of the soldiers. More than likely, she probably had family of some kind that were drafted. Provided of course, that she was from Dragao. If either one of those wasn't the case...Ecquis decided not to go down that line of thought. He would naturally ask, and something told him that he shouldn't press this issue unless it becomes necessary. Speaking of origins, Ecquis did not know much about where his comrades came from. He decided that he might as well find out. It could give him some insight on how everyone thinks. "If any of you are ok with answering, where are you all from exactly?"

Listening to Meredith's words, he becomes a bit curious about her origins. She knew quite a bit about the treatment of soldiers, more than he had gathered through the whispers he heard through towns...or at least the ones he could get into. He debated whether to press her on this, but he was unsure. He always was one to try and find out all he could about something or someone. He had to out of necessity. Sometimes it worked out for him, other times... His attention was refocused after Mira let out a questioning grumble towards him. She always did notice when his thoughts went back to his home...his former home anyhow. To get his mind off of matters of old, he decided to go ahead with his inquiry. "You seem informed of the handling of the enemy's troops. I'm both impressed and curious. Did you have someone drafted into the army as well, or have you simply heard about the troops and their situation elsewhere?"

Ah the glories that is RNG. At least I got some res growth which will be useful. maybe.

"I...I see. That's unfortunate," Ecquis told Hayden. To try and save his daughter only for her to be taken anyways...it must have been hard to live with. Even still, if we are to continue fighting, its certainly not out of the question that we may be able to gather some information on her. There are ways to find information, even if they aren't immediately apparent. "I can't guarantee anything, but I'll try to find information on the whereabouts of your daughter. It's the least I can do" he tells the man, with Mira roaring in agreement. Having spoken with Hayden, Ecquis decided to head outside once again. Seeing that Hoshiko decided to scurry off on her own, he decided to at least check on her. "I trust you are alright Hoshiko?"

Now that the teens were released, Ecquis' attention went back to Hayden. After thinking on what he said about the inhabitants of the prison, him being here didn't make too much sense. Or at the very least, why would he be put in with them? Seeing as how thinking about it wouldn't change things, he decided to ask him personally. "If the boys and girls here were forcibly drafted, why exactly were you in here Hayden. You don't seem like you are in the best condition for fighting."

"My name is Ecquis. The wyvern beside me is Mira" he introduces to the older man. Taking a moment, he looks around the prison to observe the inhabitants. "Who are you exactly, and how long have you all been here?" he inquires, curious as to why all of these people were imprisoned here.

Surveying the field once more, Ecquis sees the priest fleeing towards the trees on one end, and the head of the enemy army on the other, engaging some of his allies. Looking towards the priest, he considers his actions. "The poor priest must be scared out of his mind, unable to defend himself. I suppose I'll leave him be. I'll let the others decide his fate," he muses before Mira points his attention to Hoshiko. Having gotten a hard hit, she is both wounded and in a poor position. Chances are, the rest of the group could deal with Burt before he can retaliate. Of course, leaving things to chance has a tendency to backfire, something Ecquis knows too well. "They may not need help, but it won't hurt them to receive it I suppose. Come now Mira," he yells before flying off to the side of Hoshiko. "Hello there, care to have some assistance?" Moves to G10 and rescues Hoshiko

The sign itself wasn't the most riveting read in the world, but the trip was made worthwhile due to Mira sniffing out some dragons. "Well this is a pleasant surprise! Nice find Mira," he compliments, petting the top of her head while pocketing the dragons. Mira makes a proud growl indicating that she is pleased with her discovery. "Now, about our current status," Ecquis muses while surveying the field. Based on the enemy position, he was not quite in range to reach anyone. Luckily, his other companions should be able to deal with the remaining troops. "Doesn't mean we can just sit here and do nothing though. Come along Mira," he says before tapping Mira, signaling her on where to go next. Moves to H15

With the mercenary and archer down for the count, the only remaining soldiers were the priest, archer, and the boss himself. Unfortunately for Ecquis, the axe present in the boss' hand made any attacks he could make less likely to land. "Shame, I suppose we'll have to see how the others will handle things. In the meantime..." Ecquis pauses, looking towards the sign that is near him. Acting out of curiosity, he decided to check the sign out. "Shouldn't take too long, and I can move back to the fight if the others need me" Ecquis decides before tapping Mira towards the sign. [Canto] Moves to I19 and investigates sign

Even in the mock battle I had to get nerfed lol. One day I will acquire the Uber Spear...

Seeing as how I only moved up one spot, I theoretically could go check out that sign

Considering how many nerfs I've already gotten, that's just adding fuel to the fire. Would i get my class skill nerf reverted in that situation?
