  1. I would like to request any Unaware ability Wooper/Quagsire. Doesn't have to be anything too fancy, as long as it has the ability.
  2. Does anybody have a friend safari and/or access to one of these Pokemon? I've been looking for this Pokemon for god knows how long and I would strongly appreciate it if somebody could trade me one of these.
  3. Added everyone before this post. @Kingd353 My safari has dittos in it, I added you.
  4. I recently got the X and Y themed 3DS XL, meaning I have a brand new friend code, and guess what...? It has DITTO! (Aipom and Audino too, but ditto is where it's at). Name: Neutral (Gary) FC: 1779-1084-1092
  5. I got a ditto safari friend code, yaaaay~

  6. Does anybody have Spiritomb in their Safari? I'm looking for one with the DW ability.
  7. Still waiting on my Fire/Grass and Normal/Ghost types.
  8. I feel like Scizor got a buff and a nerf at the same time this gen. The fact that he has less resistances now and the fact that his bullet punch messes up fairies. Lol.
  9. Gamefreak... You've officially lost your fucking mind. Mega Garchomp? Really?!

  10. I have more to say later but for now...... *Sees Mega Garchomp* Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu- *ragequits*
  11. Yep, pretty much, and to be honest I'm normally not a person that is drawn to rumors. Although this one seems realistic enough that I can believe it.
  12. I really hope X and Y meets up with all the hype it's getting. Sure, we're getting a crap load of new features and the Pokemon series is finally taking a step into the 3rd dimension... But I mainly play the Pokemon games for its story, so if the story isn't as good as gen 5's, I'll be disappointed.
  13. People are bringing up Takamaru due to a rumor going around that actually makes a lot of sense. It's claimed that for the 4th game Sakurai wanted two things. He wanted A, the game to introduce more retro characters, and that B, he wanted to have characters that would represent the east and west. Those characters would end up being Little Mac and Takamaru respectively.
  14. Hazard Destroyer - Eliminates Stealth Rocks, Toxic Spikes, and Spikes upon entry. Neutralizer - Stops all weather upon entry. Parry - When attacking, this Pokemon attacks first if the opponent uses a priority attack against you.
  15. First of all I'm going to start with whom I think is absolutely going to be in the next game (including ones already announced): SSB64 - Mario Link Kirby DK Samus/Zero Suit Fox Pikachu Yoshi Luigi Captain Falcon Jigglypuff Ness SSBM - Zelda/Sheik Peach Mr. Game&Watch Ice Climbers Bowser SSBB- Diddy Kong King Dedede Olimar Pit ROB Sonic Wario Wolf Recently announced- Megaman Villager Wii Fit Trainer Now with that out of a way, I'm going to make a list of characters I believe could be cut from the next game, a probability rate, and why I think this is the case (I aim to keep bias out of the reasoning) this list only includes characters that are currently in the most recent game: Falco - (40% chance of making it back) I don't think Falco really deserves to have a character slot for one simple reason, he's just too much like Fox. By removing Falco you can also make room for another Star Fox character that would have a completely different move set than both Fox and Wolf, and that character is Krystal. Ganondorf - (65% chance of making it back) I honestly see some doubt regarding Ganon as a smash character. He's not only a direct rip-off of Captain Falcon, he also deserves much better than this. Ganondorf is supposed to be a dark lord, and yet, all they could think of was giving him Captain Falcons move set? Really? If they really don't know how to give Ganon a proper moveset, it makes more sense to just boot him from the roster in favor of a different zelda character. Ike - (10% chance of making it back) This is extremely unlikely. There tends to be a trend that in each new game they replace the second Fire Emblem character with the most recent main protagonist. So as a result, Ike is likely going to be replaced by Chrom. Lucario - (30% chance of making it back) Lucario is another character I believe is going to get the boot for a couple reasons. First of all, it's highly speculated that Mewtwo will most likely return and replace Lucario. Then it has to be considered that Blaziken is recently up for discussion due to the fact that he gets the special treatment compared to all the starters. While I can't completely deny Lucario coming back, it's just that the competition for the character spot will likely get the best of him. Either Mewtwo or Blaziken will most likely replace Lucario. The only real glimmer of hope Lucario has is the fact that he gets a mega form just like Blaziken and Mewtwo. Lucas - (40% chance of making it back) Lucas is another character that is pretty much a complete copy of another character, in this case it's Ness. Unless they can give Lucas a move set that truly makes him different from Ness, I don't realistically see him coming back for the next game. Marth - (90% chance of making it back) While it's very likely Marth will return for the 4th game, it also has to be considered that there's always the possibility Marth can be replaced by another Fire Emblem character, just like Roy was and how Ike most likely will be. Meta Knight - (75% chance of making it back) Meta Knight seems pretty self explanatory. While he was a popular character, he also caused a crap load of issues in competitive matches, was extremely overpowered, and was ultimately banned for the most part in competitive play. Unless they give Meta Knight a reasonable nerf, they may consider scrapping him completely for a different Kirby character. Pokemon Trainer - (75% chance of making it back) I don't necessarily believe the concept of the character is going away, I believe the one specifically from Brawl is going to get replaced by an updated trainer. Snake - (5% chance of making it back) It's pretty clear that Snake was pretty much a one game deal. Not only did he not fit in the environment of the game, he only got into the game due to begging. There are likely plans of a better 3rd party character that will ultimately replace him. Not to mention Metal Gear is hardly related to Nintendo now a days like it was in the old days. Snake making a return is extremely unlikely as a result. Toon Link - (10% chance of making it back) There really doesn't need to be another Link. The gimmick was cool the first time around, and it makes sense that if they brought it back in Brawl that it would have to be Toon Link instead. However, it doesn't change the fact that you're putting Link in a new outfit, quite literally. The idea of a second Link could be scrapped entirely in favor of a different and unique Zelda character, which I'm sure there's plans for. So there for it's hard to see this gimmick making a return. Finally I'll make a list of characters I believe have a high enough chance that's realistic to make it into the game (this includes returning characters from previous smash bros games) the rule is that each character must of been in a Nintendo game at some point. To save space, I'm not going to give a reason for each character like I did previously: Bowser Jr. Ghirahim Mewtwo Chrom Ridley (Metroid other M version) King K. Rool Dixie Kong Shulk Avatar or Lissa (Fire Emblem Awakening) Prince Fluff or Knuckle Joe (Kirby Series) Blaziken Black Shadow or Samurai Goroh (F Zero series) Tom Nook Knuckles, and/or Tails, or Shadow (with the assumption that Sega is practically first party to Nintendo) Magnus and/or Palutena Medusa (assuming only Magnus or Palutena gets chosen) Paula, or Jeff, or Poo [Derp] (Earthbound, Jeff is most likely due to his uniqueness) Pokey (assuming one of the three options above aren't chosen) Krystal Little Mac Takamaru (Nazo no Murasame-jo) Dillion (Dillion's Rolling Western) Llyod Irving or Pacman (Namco rep, hopefully Llyod because he would be a better fighter/character)
  16. Nothing of value was lost. In all seriousness I didn't really expect it to happen. However at the same time I didn't really feel any remorse for him because he was honestly a pretty dull and boring character to begin with.
  17. @Silver - But isn't sunny day kinda counterproductive? Considering it would power up fire types and make it easier to K.O him? I likely don't fully understand, but what makes Sunny Day good on him? - Yea I was thinking that about U-Turn too. Tailwind actually sounds like a fantastic idea as I run a lot of attackers on my team and would be a tremendous boost. - The reason why I gave him Dual Chop was because I thought it would be useful to get past a substitute. But you're right, the 100% accuracy would likely triumph it in most situations. Thanks for the recommendations.
  18. After about being a member here for roughly a month now, I'm finally getting ready to challenge the reborn league. However, I need assistance, as I am not the brightest person in the world outside of single battles. I made a topic about this if anybody is interested - http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5234

  19. Hello, I'm not sure if it's right to say that I'm "new" to Reborn at this rate. I believe it's more appropriate for me to say I'm roughly a month old as a member here now. After battling a few times, getting a mixture between frustration and addicting action throughout my experience, I finally feel like it's about time I build a team to challenge the reborn league. Sadly I really don't know anything about anything outside of single battles; in fact, I'm honestly not even that great at building teams as a whole (every time I feel like I built something great it's the complete opposite) I ultimately got help to build my current OU Ranking team which is over all very successful. Well, enough of my rambling. I'm really looking for someone who can assist me in preparing for all the challenges ahead in this league. I'm aware that most of them favor triple battles, and that my team should be prepared for just about any type of battle. Other than that, I don't exactly know what to expect. So forgive me if this team I imagined up would do horrible (as I said before, I'm not even that great at building teams). Here's my plan as of right now: Puffy (Staraptor) (F) @ Choice Band Ability: Reckless EVs: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP Jolly Nature - Brave Bird - Close Combat - Double-Edge - U-Turn Tornado (Serperior) (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Contrary EVs: 252 S.Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP Timid Nature - Leaf Storm - Giga Drain - Dragon Pulse - Hidden Power (Fire) GummyBear (Reuniclus) (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Magic Guard EVs: 252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 S.Defense Bold Nature - Psyshock - Focus Blast - Calm Mind - Recover Haxor (Haxorus) (F) @ Focus Sash Ability: Mold Breaker EVs: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP Jolly Nature - Dual Chop - Rock Slide - Earthquake - Dragon Dance Mothra (Volcarona) (F) @ Lum Berry Ability: Flame Body EVs: 252 S.Attack / 252 Speed / 4 S.Defense Timid Nature - Heat Wave - Bug Buzz - Hurricane - Quiver Dance Forklift (Mamoswine) (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Thick Fat EVs: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP Adamant Nature - Ice Shard - Icicle Crash - Earthquake - Superpower Thank you to anyone who can help prepare me for the league and help me make any alterations/modifications to my current plan so that it's fully operational when I attempt the league, I strongly appreciate your input and assistance!
  20. This has probably been talked about before, but honestly, I feel as if this is important enough to bring up. Weather teams (more specifically, the weather starters) are becoming a serious problem in the current OU. It's starting to get to the point where if you don't run one, you basically lose (and if you don't you're at a HUGE disadvantage for not using one). Before somebody brings it up, yes, I know, Clear Skys OU does exist... But nobody even uses it, and I'm pretty sure I know why this is. Clear Skys isn't being used because A, you wouldn't even know Clear Skys was available until somebody experienced told you. B, the people that use weather teams (and let me tell you, this has to make up at least 60-70% or more of the highest rankings "at least") don't want to use clear skys because they know they basically win all the time with weather. C, nobody wants to use it because almost nobody uses it to begin with, why so bother? It can actually be argued that Clear Skys is currently a useless addition because the good chunk of players that use weather teams in order to get really high up in rankings to begin with don't want to adapt. The way I think of this, I don't necessarily believe weather as a whole should be banned from standard matches (OU, UU, Etc). Instead, I believe the abilities Drought, Drizzle, Snow Warning, and Sand Stream should all be banned in standard matches or only allow them in ubers, and here is all my reasoning's as to why I believe this change would be beneficial rather than disruptive to the community: We are allowing pokemon such as Excadrill and Chandelure w/ Shadow Tag in the default OU. If this is the case, it seems like a fair trade to eliminate weather starters as this keeps such pokemon from being too overpowered. There's a reason why Swift Swim and Drizzle together is banned in the main stream matches... Because it's a fact that they're extremely overpowered and basically allow you to win all the time (unless you're against a REALLY good player). Just take a look at Ludicolo, it's nearly unstoppable unless you design specific pokemon just to counter it. Excadrill in the sand, enough said. Vaporeon with unlimited rain + hydration is also a disaster to its victim. Immunity to status conditions is no joke. Fully healing in 1 turn with rest screams overpowered. There was nothing wrong with using the skills Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Hail, and Rain Dance + Weather Stones. Sure, it may of been a small inconvenience, but the reality of it is that great power should come with some sort of consequence. The fact that we can now just send out a pokemon and the weather is there forever (unless you have different weather or air-lock) makes weather overpowered because there is absolutely no consequence. As I said previously in a status message: (Who was the guy at Gamefreak one day that decided "You know what, Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Hail, Sandstorm, weather stones, that isn't enough. Why don't we just make unlimited instantaneous weather upon entry and make everything else useless? It's sure to break the meta-game!" ) I'd list more examples, but there's so many that I can't even remember it all. As my final statement, I want to say yes, I do admit that I am awfully annoyed at the fact that I'm mostly losing to these type of teams, I'm not afraid to hide this fact, especially because I'm far from the only one that thinks to same way. I hope this is considered and changed in the future. ~Neutral

Nobody does clear skys, that's pointless. Why isn't it the default OU to begin with? More people would be using it then and it would make OU more balanced than it currently is here.

  22. I'm being completely honest, I seriously need some help with competitive battling. I need someone to teach me how to be really good, any takers on this?

A lot of it comes from sheer experience and familiarity with all the pokemon and their builds and thus being able to predict them to your advantage.

TO THE SMOGON FORUMS WITH YOU! Seriously though, look at the tier you want to play, make a team that is good against the tops ten Pokemon of that tier and battle a few times and go from there. Eventually you'll get the hang of it and know what you need to be able to counter and how to counter it. <:D

Thank you both for the advice, I strongly appreciate it :). I ultimately got some assistance from Slant on the PO Reborn server and he has been helping me tremendously with the meta-game.
