yeah this is a zero to hero/pokemon champion, you start during a time of disaster and its up to you and your pokemon, to save the day and eventually become the bad ass champion. at first your team will be somewhat limited but the farther you go the more options become available, and yes pokemon are hidden everywhere after doing certain events or just being around during certain weather certain pokemon will join you.

I been thinking of pokemon reborn, and the pokemon that are given to you from other people. Lilpup, Snubble, Krickot are 3 of many pokemon that had a different trainers and are given to you. There original trainers are very unimportant but they could add a little lore to the game, you could remember the fallen officer whos growlithe was given to you. Yes I do agree doing that will make them level up faster because of boosting, but I never understood why me using my friends pokemon will make it grow faster. I suggest taking the boosting effect off and making regular exp gain. This could make it a tad more difficult for people that use the traded pokemon. They could also implement the lottery more giving it lamer prizes, with a egg being a grand prize. It could be a way to implement Wailmer, or another pokemon(s) that would be hard to obtain especially since most of the water is poison. I know not the coolest idea but it could be interesting having these little tidbits

he didn't activate the ditto sidequest, and if he doesn't do it soon, it will be lost till later, and this is what you call a puzzle, there are pokemon ready to help you escape, that is correct, loudred makes you deaf for a few seconds, abra teleports other pokemon, jigglypuff puts people asleep, vanitixe uses ice, cynacil uses fire, rock guy (I don't remember his name) uses rocks, lickatung will give you a rare candy if you have ditto there, and makuhita will help ditto escape.

train mankey to become strong pokemon, when raining go to train station (where you started the game) catch Numel, he is a awesome friend, I say a electric, most are not that great at the current moment, but near the pokemon center that you are probally using is a emolga, Sixth pokemon im not sure it will be the just in case battler he has Glaceon, Umbreon, espeon, Chatot, Tangrowth, Lileep, Mankey can hit Glaceon, and Umbreon and Lileep hopefully killing them or dealing major damage, Numel vs Tangrowth Emolga vs Tangrowth and Chatot Noibat and Feraligatr and a sixth can help attack the other pokemon, Crunch and Ice Fang are awesome here. Yes this battle is one of the hardest at the point of the game, EDIT: NINJAD, I forgot about Mareep, yes if you can find the 5 police, you can get a growlithe I say save before taking it and grabing it as a girl, doing the pokemon daycare side quest, and breeding then trading the new growlithe for a Mareep instead of emolga,

there will unlock revealing a underground city that has a second set of gym leaders who think your attempting to take over, they don't have a restriction to type, just shape, there will be a master of mushrooms, felines, canines, turtles, cows/bulls, birds, fish, frogs, serpents, and that's only half the list, the master of these gym leaders will be a old man named JOEY, yes you know the one. His radicate, and other extreme pokemon will slaughter you if your not ready... in truth I think they just unlock hidden areas after post game, maybe to visit other regions for a quick battles with characters based on the ones from the games, Rojo based on Red, Azul based on blue. another option is if you are not able to enter the main city, you will have to go around the tunnels trying to find a secret way in to save the day.
