  3. Ixidor Mia blushed, staring at the ground in a bit of confusion. "Well," she said softly, twisting a piece of her hair around her finger, "I really don't know where to go." Looking at the walls, she sighed. "All I know is that for whatever reason, you can't make it through this maze on your own." Shivering, she added, "I'm sure you'll know the right way, Ix. I believe in you." The blonde succubus wrapped her arms around herself, struggling to keep warm as she waited for Ixidor to make his move. Rose and Ellaria Placing an arm around Ellaria's shoulders gratefully, Rose allowed her sister to lead her away from the other two people of the group. Understanding that the girl had used her powers to get them away from Matthew and the strange woman with the sword, the redhead nodded to herself, whispering to the girl, "We should go. The woman that had joined you and Matthew had a sword drawn; had she not, I wouldn't have grabbed a knife." Glancing at her right hand, she sighed, seeing that in grabbing the knife she had yet again pricked her finger on the sharp blades. Limping forward with as much haste as she could muster, Rose quickly lead them into a nearby corridor that she hadn't been in yet. "So," she murmured, "we can't really trust anyone but each other," disregarding the entrance plaque completely when it came to the single person she had trusted since entering the Hill. "What do you think we should do if we meet one of the others?" she wondered idly, knowing that their other compatriots turned enemies were at times much stronger and more unpredictable than the two of them normally were.
  4. Happy birthday Skitty, have a wonderful day of innocence~
  5. It's ok Dobby; Eagle and I talked via PM and we've reintroduced him into the RP. For those wondering, this decision was made jointly between Notus, Hukuna, and myself-- we felt as though despite the sign ups being over, Eagle deserved the same right in taking Edward to the end. I also admit that this is a bit of a way to fix an oversight on my part. I had PMed several older members of the original RP asking for permission to recycle their characters as well as giving them notice that the RP would be appearing. They were also told that they would be able to take up their old characters as well. Instead of going and looking through the old OOC, which would have been the smarter thing to do, I went solely off of memory, omitting several in the process due to not remembering. Eagle, Dobby, and K_H are all examples of those whom I should have messaged but forgot. Should any of you have an objection, you may PM it to me, Notus, or Hukuna and we'll address your concerns as best we can. I do apologize for the confusion. Eagle, in regards to your post about Enya-- I wouldn't go as far as to say that she's safely on the outside of the Hill. I mean, I'm fairly certain that the Hill has proven to expect the unexpected.
  6. Stretching herself once more, Illiana blushed as her stomach made its presence felt in the form of a loud gurgling. "I think there might be a diner this way," she mumbled, desperately trying to silence her need of food. Taking the lead, the blonde scanned both sides of the street, trying to be vigilant of other mages as well as find somewhere that would give them something to eat. "Natalie, what should our goals be for today, apart from securing our location and doing research?" the water mage questioned idly, clapping her hands together with joy as she spotted a cafe a few more yards down, across the street. Continuing her thinking quietly to Natalie as they neared the cafe, she added, "I know I should probably get back into practice with my battle techniques, and we should both get to know how the other fights so that we can work better as a team."
  7. Happy birthday Silver! You've still gotta fight me irl, although I think we agreed that it'd just end up as us going to the movies. Have a fantastic day; you most definitely deserve it!~
  8. Rose, Ellaria, Matthew, Donna Shifting her stance so that her weight was off of her bad ankle, Rose's eyes widened in shock and anger at the suggestion that she would ever harm Ellaria. Memories from the Hill flew through her head at lightning fast speeds. Swearing to herself to protect Ellaria and Enya from any and all harm when they were in the Second Circle. The anguish and agony of losing Ellaria in the Third Circle, not having been vigilant enough to protect her from that vile ratman that had broken the girl's legs, threatening her with more pain if she refused to cooperate. Finding said rat in the Fourth Circle coup and personally placing a knife into his heart for having injured Ellaria. The mind numbing confusion when that strange bear of Enya's, Ace, got wet in the River Styx, causing the girl to fly into a frenzy before finally going catatonic. The horror when the child's heart stopped beating, and the heartbreak of carrying the child all the way to the Seventh Circle before having to come to terms with the fact that the little girl would never wake up again. Trembling with rage, her hand tightened on the knife as she laid her other hand on Ellaria's shoulder, looking for comfort from her blind companion. "Trust me," she said icily, looking at Matthew with disdain. "If I had wanted to harm this girl, I would have done it a long time ago." Forcing herself to take larger breaths, the icy air piercing her lungs, combining with the intensity of the memories and her rage. Her chest ached with the large amount of exercise and the overflowing emotions that were threatening to overwhelm her. "How dare you even suggest that I would mean any ill will toward Ellaria?" she spoke, her voice shaking at having to voice such a thing. Taking a side glance at her surrogate sister, she whispered, "I would die to protect her." Rose tossed her head in derision at Matthew before spinning on her good heel, intending to leave the two strangers before she did something she would regret. However, her ankle gave way again, and with a soft thump, the redhead fell to the floor again, cursing under her breath.
  9. Rose, Ellaria, Matthew, Donna Hearing an 'oof' echo softly in the nearby vicinity made Rose immediately pick up her pace, dashing around corners as quickly as her cold limbs would allow her to. Soft puffs of air left her mouth as she rounded corner after corner, intuition telling her that Ellaria was close. Turning one last corner, she tumbled to the ground as one of her numb ankles slid from under her. "Owwww..." she moaned softly, grimacing as she rose to her feet again. Attempting to place weight onto her ankle proved fruitless, as bolts of pain flew through her leg, causing her to hiss in agitation. It all flew out of her mind, when she heard a female voice say, "Ummm...hi?" and the redhead looked farther up the pathway. There, standing next to a blond man with a dark haired woman not too far away, stood her sister. "Ellaria!" Rose called out, unable to contain her excitement. Limping as fast as she could, she crossed the long path that was between her and the girl, immediately pulling her away from the man and into a hug as soon as she was close enough. Murmuring softly to the girl, she said, "I'm so glad you're safe," before it registered that the other people were nearby. Scanning them quickly, Rose noted that the man didn't seem dangerous. The woman, on the other hand, had some sort of sword out, and even though it wasn't pointed at any of them, Rose's green eyes narrowed as she lightly stepped in front of Ellaria, pulling a knife from her bag and holding it as warning to both strangers. Looking at the man, she nodded slightly, her eyes never leaving his face. As her hair fell into her face, she uttered, "Thank you for looking after her." Widening her gaze again to include the woman, a single sentence left her lips. "Who are you both?" Ixidor Taking a small step back, Mia smiled at Ixidor. "This circle is the circle you've ultimately needed to get to, right?" she questioned, her eyes round with worry. "Mother told Aighan, Lara, Meridian, and I stories of this circle when we were younger-- they were legends, tales that we thought were created for enjoyment." The girl began to pace back and forth, ringing her hands repeatedly as she fell silently into thought, seemingly trying to find the words for the next part of her explanation. "When I heard you had reached here, Ix," she explained, trying and failing to hide a small blush that slowly grew across her face, "I knew I had to make sure for myself that the stories weren't true." Looking down at the ground with a small smile and playing with a strand of blonde hair, she added, "I asked Mother to keep an eye out on your progress so that I could know how you were doing. Kayle was also pleased to hear that you were doing well." Becoming serious once more, her sky blue eyes turned dark as she stared at Ixidor with unconcealed nervousness. "This maze," Mia stated factually, "is a living, sentient being." Taking a breath, she continued, "It learns from your actions and makes it so that you can never get to the exit-- not unless you have a partner to help you get through the obstacles that are made specifically to stop you." The girl grasped Ixidor's hand at this point, surprising the boy with her care and spontaneity. "Please, let me help you." Vanessa Having been steadily moving (and freezing) in the maze for a good portion of time, Vanessa could only to conclude one thing to herself. She was lost, and very badly at that. Seeing only a portion of the wall glow, as opposed to the previous times, she immediately headed in that direction, positive that the localized glow meant something to her need to escape the maze and start her life anew. Up ahead, she noticed a brownish-yellow puddle of what appeared to be vomit. As she watched, the floor in that specific area of the maze glowed brightly, and the mess immediately seemed to absorb into the floor, leaving no trace that it had ever existed. She walked forward and turned the corner, seeing a small glimmer on the ground. Walking to the shiny object, Vanessa was surprised to see it was a silver earring, studded with what looked to be expertly cut emeralds. Looking up, trying to see if she spotted the earring's owner, she saw a boy with the brightest red hair she'd ever seen rounding the corner up ahead.
  10. Phantom As the man made turn after turn, he could always hear light footsteps in front of him. Rounding another corner, he finally found her, standing in a dead end of the maze, green eyes shimmering as she stared at Phantom. "Well," Meridian stated simply, looking at Phantom with the same calm, unwavering gaze from their first encounter. She walked over to him slowly, lightly touching the mask that hid his face from the world before withdrawing it. "Have you come any closer to understanding who you are?" Evan As Evan walked along the corridors of the maze, he paused, hearing the shrieks of a girl nearby. Darting in and out of the walls as quickly as he could to find the girl whom had since fallen silent, he was greeted with a shock as he turned the corner. Promptly, he turned around and emptied the contents of his stomach the way he had just come from. There, in front of him, was the broken, beaten body of Noella Chimdale. Her normally immaculate blond hair was frizzy and spattered with blood. Eyes that once shone like maple syrup were now dark, gazing at nothing. The girl's neck was bent at an odd angle, indicating that her neck had been badly broken. Limbs were splayed erratically, a look of terror was permanently etched onto the girl's face. Before Evan could move again, the wall came alive again, this time glowing a bright, shiny color. As the boy watched, Noella's body was sucked closer into the wall, eventually being swallowed into the deep black walls.
  11. Oml, we placed so many memes in the original, that was so much fun. Plus they were clever, making it even more worthwhile
  12. Illiana shrugged, though she had to admit to herself that she was a little confused, having checked the barrier herself before she had gone to call the manager. Running a quick hand through her considerably messy hair, she explained, "I went to call the manager so that we could get set up into our apartment," glancing at her watch in curiosity. "We have a little bit of time before he said he'd meet us, shall we go get breakfast and start our research?" she inquired, looking at her companion.
  13. Kenny As the younger aura user hit the ground, his neck snapped and killed him. Being dead, Kenny had no way to know what was coming next. All those in the maze felt the hair on the backs of their necks stand up as the floor of the maze began to glow the same, eerie black that the walls had. His body slowly lifted from the floor, Kenny floated there for a second before the maze struck back, seemingly angry at the boy for attempting to cheat it. With a pulse of light, the aura user was sent flying back through the air, toward where he had originally been. Almost, it had seemed as though the wall had overshot, and Kenny would fly farther than where he had been. Almost. Like clockwork, a harsh, grinding was heard throughout the maze, causing all those that could hear it to cover their ears in pain, wincing from the grating, painful noise that was emanating around them all. Almost like it knew where Kenny was headed, a wall had risen higher out of the ground, preventing him from flying further and causing him to slide right back to his original position in the maze. Near him, a blue blur flew around a few meters from the floor. Rose | Ellaria and Matthew Uncertainty filled the young woman's mind, not wanting to leave Ellaria alone with the stranger but wanting to hurry to the girl. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to think logically. There would have been a higher chance that they would have already found each other had the other way been correct; yet it had only lead them to each other with a wall in the way. It seemed only possible that if they were to continue the way that they had been going that they would finally meet with one another. Taking a steadying breath, Rose called to the younger girl. "Ellaria, I think we need to keep going and follow these paths. They seem to be our best chance of finding one another." As an afterthought, afraid of what would happen if she weren't in a close proximity to the girl, she added, "If you need me, just scream." Beginning to jog in the path that she had chosen to follow, Rose halted immediately as the floor began to glow black, its energy terrifying her. Crouching down low, she tried to calm herself, immediately covering her ears as an unearthly sound pierced the air. Will this nightmare ever end? she thought in despair. Ixidor It wasn't too long before Ixidor heard light, hurried footsteps running back over to him. The boy could feel himself cautiously relaxing as he began to feel gentle hands prodding him, checking for broken bones or other injuries. "Oh Ix," came the melodious, soprano voice from earlier, "I couldn't find anything to help, though it doesn't seem as though anything is too bad, apart from having been knocked around a little bit." Sky blue eyes glistened with worry as the girl looked at the artist. "Will you be ok?"

Sounds amazing, like it shouldn't be real but is cute and awesome if real.

  16. Gosh, i don't see why circumventing a maze is really necessary... Oh well! The maze doesn't like cheaters, for reference, so don't be surprised at what happens next!
  17. Congrats Murdoc and Hukuna, we all know you'll do fabulously~
  18. Precisely! Thank you for summing that up so well Also, as a reminder, you guys don't have to be so quiet. Interact with the other characters, some of them don't bite they just shoot or stab, y'know... Everyone will eventually receive their own special friend, but in the meantime go fight and kill meet another character!
  19. Rose | Ellaria and Matthew Staying close to the wall so that she could hear Ellaria and whomever was with her, Rose jogged quickly, trying to keep every part of her body moving so that blood would circulate and hypothermia wouldn't set in as quickly. So focused on her thoughts of getting to the girl, she didn't see the wall coming until she ran into it face first, falling onto her butt hard. "Owwwwwwwwwww," the girl moaned aloud, slowly standing and rubbing her backside. Once the pain had subsided enough, the redhead glanced at the wall, which was now forcing her to turn left. "Ellaria," Rose called over to the girl, "I'm being forced to turn left right now, are you being forced to do the same?" Ixidor As the painter struggled to regain his bearings after the wall's seemingly rude response to his attempted power, he heard a soft, worried voice a few yards away. "Oh no! Are you alright?" Before Ixidor could gather his thoughts to respond, the voice cut through again. "I'll find something to help you!" it declared. As the painter struggled to focus his eyes at the owner of the voice, all he could see was a white sundress and blonde hair walking away from him.
