Flux, what you've said is really kind, and I agree that we don't talk as often as we should. You're an awesome fellow and I'm glad you're going to come back and give UtH its proper send off. Happy 2 years, and may you have another good year here with us!

I just wanna talk with people about stuff~
Rosesong replied to 4thWallCeci's topic in General Discussion
To any of you that brave the Showdown server, just hit me up! My user there is LidaRose, and I'm always open to talking about anything and everything! Snow, I have a bit of piano experience, and the most important thing is growing comfortable with the keyboard layout. Practice hands separately at first and take special note of which fingers you're going to use to play passages. After you're confident with each hand individually, you'll need to slowly put each hand together. The most important part is to realize that piano is not going to give you instant gratification, and you'll need to practice quite a bit -

Mist, have you ever tried coming onto Reborn's PS server? This link is at the top left hand corner of the menu! However, should you ever want to talk, just shoot me a PM, I'm always more than happy to meet new people~ -
Reminder to everyone! Game time is TOMORROW, see the OP for all pertinent information! As a note, circumstances have come up to where I will not be present; instead, the amazing Shadow Roxas will take my place as the host of the game (and she'll obviously do a better job than I would). I hope you all enjoy!

[IC] Fate/Reborn [First Holy Grail War]

((Sorry, been a bit busy lately ^^; )) Nodding at Natalie's words, the blonde woman spoke up. "I have enough money for a month's rent, though not much more. Do you think this will take that long?" As she waited for a response, Illiana began walking around the apartment complex quickly, taking note of where each accessible place for water was on the outside of the building. With some satisfaction, she noted that there were three faucets that hoses could be attached to for use. It wasn't ideal, but it would have to do. Silently darting around the complex again, she turned all the faucets on, allowing them to form large puddles and making a mental note to turn them off before speaking to the land lord in the morning. Allowing the water to pool around them, grey eyes, searched Natalie's face once more, a realization having come to her mind. "Natalie, if this is truly the first war," Illiana spoke quietly, "how do you know about it and how are there stories and legends that I should know?" Troubled by the idea that they could potentially be pulling information out of thin air, and not knowing if the source was reliable, Illiana went back to tending to the puddles, which had grown considerably in size. It had been a long time since the water mage had performed defensive spells, and a longer time still for offensive water magic. I suppose I'd better get back into practice, she thought ruefully, crouching down to place a hand into one of the puddles that had formed in order to pulse a small amount mana through it. Closing her eyes, she began to chant in a murmur, recalling a barrier-esque enchantment she had learned a long time ago. "Where there lies water, clear gathered liquid Keep away visitors not so insipid." The water glowed a light blue, and began to stretch along the perimeters of the building until it was in a thin, nearly invisible line. Walking to the other pools that had formed, Illiana performed the same enchantment. When she was finished, the water lines had connected with one another. Satisfied that the charm had worked, she walked back to Natalie and leaned against the building, slowly sinking down in an attempt to recover her energy. By way of explanation, she huffed out, "Barrier enchantment. Should anyone with questionable motives try to come here, all of the water will surge up, bowling them over before returning to the state that it's in right now. Only lasts 24 hours." -
What diagnosed disorder(s) do you live with?
Rosesong replied to MoneyMadam's topic in General Discussion
Alright, so my list is tons of fun Asthma- It was diagnosed as severe, so any form of exercise, even walking, laughing too hard or too long, or crying, and strong scents can send me into an attack. I used to take inhalers, but have since decided that I wanted to try life without them, so I stopped taking them. It seemed to work, as long as I don't overstep my bounds when it comes to my limitations Migraines- I have specific triggers, being fluorescent lighting and the heat. Normally when they happen, I drink/eat something with caffeine, like a soda or dark chocolate, and then go lie in the dark with a wet cloth over my eyes to sleep for awhile. I have to have my glasses lightly tinted grey to stop fluorescent interference, but the heat... There's nothing to stop that Scoliosis- A lot of people have this, but mine is a special pain in the ass. I have two curvatures in my spine, and the lower of the two is one of the causes of incredible back pain that I sporadically experience. When first diagnosed, both curves were so bad that I had to wear a back brace as a preventative measure, and surgery was briefly discussed. However, the curves have regressed, which normally does not happen, so now I just have back pain (though I'm also not allowed to lift over 20 pounds) Fibromyalgia- This. Is. A. Bitch. This is a diagnosis of overactive nerves, which means that every joint is supersensitive. As such, my joints will randomly slide out from under me or bend without my agreeance, causing me to fall quite a bit. As a bonus, there's normally quite a bit of pain in my knees and back when it's going to rain. The other fun bit is that because my nerves are overactive, REM sleep (the dream stage of sleep where you actually get rest) is extraordinarily difficult to come by, so I'm always tired! Medicine for this has the double classification of being an anti-depressant, and began to change my mood and mannerisms. So, the best thing to do is just grin and deal with it Acid reflux- I hadn't ever experienced symptoms of this until recently, but was able to be diagnosed because of a rough cough that went away when I started the medication. Just an overabundance of acid in the stomach that can build up Muscular-skeletal disease- Doesn't even have a proper name, smh. Basically, my bones aren't as rigid as they should be, yet not brittle. I've overly flexible and my bones quite literally bend (one of my friends pointed out that he could literally bend my arm). The result is that I'm allowed to do no physical activity at all, with the exception of walking, biking, or swimming, all of which being low impact Suppressed immune system- This is my favorite. Quick lesson on the immune system. There are four antibodies that work within the immune system: IG a, IG e, IG g, and IG m. A suppressed immune system means that there is a lack of one of these. For me, it was my IG g antibodies. Before learning that, I had a doctor formally resign from taking care of me because I had managed to contract 8 different viruses in 5 months. Being overly sick, missing appr. 30 days per school year, I dealt with transfusions and am now reasonably healthy, though I still get sick at the drop of a hat Anemia- Hooray for deficiency in iron, potassium, and calcium! Plus, in raising iron, you make calcium drop and vice versa. Tons of fun I think that's all of them, will edit if I think of anymore amusements -
Thanks Sparks! I'm still working on characters, I think I might be done soonish!

Oops, I wasn't aware that it was Lexi's birthday too :x Happy birthday Lexi, you seem really awesome and funny, though we never talk that much
-
It's another one of these, and this time it's for one of the first friends I made on the server. This guy helped me learn competitive battling and is always there to talk (when he's not swamped with schoolwork) and lend a hand. Even though he's rarely on the server anymore, he still hangs out on the forums here and there. I hope you have a great one Sheep; try to relax from that schoolwork a bit~ (I wasn't aware it was your birthday too Lexi, sorry! ^^; )

Happy birthday to our steak-loving, always ready to take a joke (or be apart of one) admin! He's been on hiatus for awhile, but all you new folks should meet him; he's a class act fella and an awesome friend! PS, remember that one time you said you'd wear a tutu if the donations were high enough? Fun times Kaito, never lose your humor!

Woo Rose \o/
And yea, I missed school in the sense of seeing my friends more since I'm not the type to really see them out of it.

Alright then! Good luck! For whatever reason the concept of enjoying school is foreign to me. I guess the best is yet to come!

[IC] Fate/Reborn [First Holy Grail War]

Holding a hand out to help Natalie up, Illiana shook her head in affirmation. "Alright, let's go to the library. I think I saw one on the way here," she agreed, hoping that there she would be able to learn more about the War that she found herself apart of. "Natalie, what do you know about this war. Like," she blushed, unable to think of a way to clarify her question, "what's the history behind it?" -

Nodding her head, Illiana watched with some fascination as Natalie's blades vanished. "What will you know about the other Servants when we encounter them?" she asked, uncertain of what she should be looking for. "I assume they would be able to sense you as well, right?" Sighing, Illiana stood up, stretching her limbs out as she did. "I guess the only other thing I'm curious about is when all of this is going to start. Do you know, Natalie?" -

Wrinkling her nose, the blonde girl let out a small sigh. "You can call me Illiana or Illi, I haven't got a preference for which." She fell silent, musing on the information that Natalie had given her. To win the Grail, it is of best interest to kill both Servant and Master alike... Rubbing her forehead, Illiana shifted her grey eyes to her new companion once more, contemplating how to go about their next move. With nothing immediately coming to mind, she blurted out suddenly, "What are your skills?" before immediately clapping a hand over her mouth. "I'm sorry," she mumbled, her abnormally white skin taking on a cherry hue. Taking a deep breath, Illiana uncovered her mouth again, speaking more calmly. "I mean, as a Servant, what is your skill set? I think I recall hearing you ask whom we were going to stab first." The woman slightly shifted to run a hand through her hair, allowing a strand of white blonde hair to fall in front of her face as she studied the girl she had summoned. Deciding that she could be trusted, Illiana spoke before Natalie could, her voice hanging in the air. "I'm a mage that specializes Water. My talents lie as a healer, though I practice the Kali style of martial arts. I suppose it's quite the departure from my temperment," pausing to let out a nervous giggle. "Perhaps we'll do well, Natalie, in this Grail War that has brought us together." -

Illiana blanched, going even paler than a ghost, as Natalie called her 'Master'. "Uh, I think I'll call you Natalie," she mumbled, "and you don't have to call me Master." Sitting up and looking her new... servant, in the eyes, she continued more clearly, "I should hope that we're good friends, Natalie, so a title is unnecessary." She then closed her eyes, thinking. "You know more about this Grail War than me," Illiana mused, uncertain as to where she got the name but just rolling with it anyway. "How will we know who the other Masters are? And must we kill either the Servant or Master to have success? Surely not both, I hope..." -

"My... na-- OH!" the blonde woman smacked herself, ashamed that she had forgotten the most basic rules of etiquette. Though, given what had just transpired, with Nayr-- Natalie or Saber, she mentally corrected--, she figured her lapse would be forgiven. "My name is Illiana Prokofiev, it is a true pleasure." Taking a seat again, leaning back against the tree, she motioned for her new companion to do the same. "So miss," she started, shifting her right hand out of the sun to avoid the glare of her ring, "which do you prefer, Saber or Natalie?" Thinking about her words, Illiana wrung her hands together. Once we've killed all six other servants we get the Grail... "A-also, we have to kill? Is it only the servants," she questioned, still uneasy of the concept, "or will masters be killed too?" -

Shock was something Illiana was unused to, yet this... girl, if she could even be called that, with the maturity and wisdom her eyes held, had left the blonde woman temporarily speechless. As she watched the girl extend a hand, she realized that words had been spoken, and in her stupor she had completely ignored them all. Straining to recall, Illiana recalled the words my master, war, Holy Grail, and pact. Unsure of what any of this meant, the young woman stared at the girl, only acting when a longing tug ached in her mind, almost pleading with her to take Nayru's hand and complete the bond. Nayru? Illiana questioned herself, trying to figure out where she had pulled a name from. As she hesitantly took the hand offered to her, sealing the pact that Nayru had spoken of, more information about the girl that had materialized before her began flooding into her mind, and instinctively she closed her eyes, trying to slow her thought processes to be able to comprehend everything that was occurring. "N-nayru?" Illiana questioned in a soft, trembling voice, shakily moving a strand of hair away from her face. "What is this war you speak of, and what is the Holy Grail?" Thinking quickly, she added in a soft tone, "And what do you mean 'my master'?" -

It's been a year. That was the thought that went through the mind of the blonde haired girl as she walked through the streets of Seigishi. Though it had been far longer since she had left her family, traveling on her own in hopes of attaining the status she had today; a Water mage that had gained a level of proficiency high enough that others sought her out to apprentice under. However, it had been a year since she had woken up with red tattoos adorning her neck and the overwhelming desire to travel to Seigishi. A year since a purpose had awoken inside of her, apart from knowledge. A stumble brought Illiana's thoughts to a halt as she fell to the ground, tearing a hole in her long jeans. Perhaps... I need rest, she conceded to herself. It had been over 24 hours since her last stop, but she couldn't control that. Her excitement had just been too great to finally reach the place that had monopolized her thoughts and actions. Taking a turn into a small, local garden, the woman leaned against a tree and took a moment to rub her feet. Closing her eyes and enjoying the warmth of the sun, Illiana's breathing evened out, and soon she was fast asleep. Images began to flash by, burning themselves into her memory. A circle with intricacies woven into its design. Words spoken aloud, a ritualistic chant tugging at mana, teasing it into the visible planes. Light growing stronger, becoming a brilliant white--! Gasping, Illiana bolted upright, woken from her sleep with the realization of what her purpose in Seigishi was. Closing her eyes once again, she began to painstakingly recreate the circle that she had seen from her dreams, tracing the lines into the ground with such ferocity that it left small grooves in the once smooth ground. As she perfected the smallest details, her hair spilled around her, brushing the ground softly as she crawled around to make additions. Satisfied that the circle was as detailed as her mind showed her, she carefully took a hose from watering the flowers near by, filling the newly formed crevasses with the clear liquid. Thrusting her hand over the circle, Illiana began to speak softly, repeating the words that she had heard spoken in her dream, her voice slowly growing in strength as her confidence grew. “Let silver and steel be the essence. Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation. Let black be the color I pay tribute to. Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall. Let the four cardinal gates close. Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate.” As she recited, the water that she had placed into the circle began to glow with a dull light, reacting to the incantation and the energy being placed into it. “Let it be declared now; your flesh shall serve under me, and my fate shall be with your sword. Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail. Answer, if you would submit to this will and this truth. An oath shall be sworn here. I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven; I shall have dominion over all evils of all of Hell.” With more mana manifesting itself in the area, Illiana's hair, which normally hung down, had started to move upward, floating unaided around her; the woman, however, had taken no notice, never once moving her hard grey eyes from the circle that she had created, its glow slowly becoming more prominent as the words spoken took their effect. Taking a deep breath, Illiana spoke the final words to the recitation that had imprinted itself into her mind. “From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three great words of power, come forth from the ring of restraint, protector of the holy balance!” The final word of the ritual brought about a brilliant flash of light. A small smile graced Illiana's face as the light died down, a figure now standing in front of her. -
Don't worry Flux! I make several reminders leading up to the day~
