Live Action Role Playing; role playing is literally pretending to be in said role.
Which, is essentially acting.

Except most acting gigs aren't Game of Thrones so... that's like saying fish are basically sharks.
Larping doesn't only encompass fantasy; it can encompass everything from fantasy to sci-fi; to even the supernatural.
At the end of the day, Role Playing, including Larping can be about anything.
