You didn't address a crucial issue: what to do when the opposite problem occurs. What happens when the ideal Pokémon for a gym is entirely too low-leveled and you have no trainers left?

Replacers are a common type of game mod. Basically, what you're doing is changing one file the game uses for a different file with the same name. You see this often with, for example, graphic edits: I didn't like the way the original male sprites were shaded, especially considering the inconsistency with stock NPCs. So with that in mind, I tweaked the sprites little by little until I was happy with them. I hereby submit this to the community, and respectfully request Amethyst's consideration for use as the official sprites. While that happens, here you go. (I had posted the sprites in my intro thread, but you wouldn't look for sprite edits there, would you?) Male sprites ver 1.7.zip

The fun thing about that is, the wiki has an article request on day/night cycle programming. There must be a variable that controls rain lighting somewhere, too... I wish I had coding experience.

Yeah. The one I packed already overwrites the default files. Unless you use a Mac and anything I remember about file management in a Mac is totally wrong, just drag the Graphics folder into the Pokémon Reborn folder and merge the files.

Pretty much, yeah. I also used Photoshop to shrink the sprite back to normal size before editing it.

Sooo... Reborn. The game. I'm here because of it. It began when a new friend showed me the game personally. I took an interest in the darker-than-usual story, and eventually found myself downloading and playing the game. I also found myself tweaking the male sprite, so there's that too: The front might need some more tweaking, but other than that, it's mostly finished. Anybody want to play around with it?
