Basically it works because of this: Say the abilities are put in slots like 1 2 and 3. Eevee's slot 1 (Run Away) will correspond to its evolved form's slot 1 (normal ability), but since the evolved forms of Eevee only has two abilities, it only has slots 1 and 2. So Eevee's slot 2 (Adaptability) will correspond to its evolved form's DW ability.

Sprite animations were available in previous releases, but Ame pulled them out because they caused a lot of bugs and crashes. The only way to get a hold of these sprites I'm afraid is to ask around and see if anyone has the files (unfortunately I don't).

Unowns give 1 Atk and 1 Sp. Atk EV, so unless you're going for a mixed attacker it's not very effective EV training.

You can either catch pigdeys in Jasper Ward, or you can headbutt trees in Chrysolia Forest (you may get a lv 40+ pidgeotto, in which case all you need to do is stuff a candy down its throat).
