I generally leave Muk alive. Tentacruel is both easier to one shot and a little more threatening. After Tenta every single other one of her pokemon are bigger threats than Muk. Just be careful because if he sets up a bunch of Minimizes it can become a real pain. And as for your levels, I generally try to be ~4 levels under the cap when fighting each leader. The only exception being my Blaziken who Im sure could sweep this whole game if it wasn't for the level caps..
  2. Yeah I found him in a smashable rock in Apophyll. Not sure if the exact location is relevant but it was in the training grounds where you first meet Kiki. @Str: I know the feeling, and I remember you posted in a thread a while ago saying it was definitely not in Apophyll. I guess he's a little rare. Time to churn out Pinecos for a decent nature
  3. Yeah EVs should work fine but I wouldn't really recommend it. There's no power items, no PokeRS, and the fact that each area houses 5-10 different kinds of Pokemon would make for an extremely tedious grind.
  4. The three places mentioned here are probably the best ones. I still rate the Unown number one. They're extremely squishy and can't really harm your Pokemon. The level range is pretty big, but finding a level 35-40 and one shotting it gives insane EXP. 1) The Magcargo don't exactly go down easily. They have some decent bulk, Recover, and Lava Plume I think. Unless you're training Poke in the upper 20s, lower 30s, you might end up running to the Center a lot! 2) The Hideout is probably my second favorite but again, some of the Pokemon there might actually pose a threat to a still-in-training Pokemon.
  5. Welcome to the community! I actually had to restart my entire game because of Rini and the level cap... Some people say Julia is tough but Rini was definitely my bittersweet awakening in the world of Reborn. I wouldn't mind if Fern got beefed up. He's a total joke. I usually take one or two pokemon that are much lower level to fights with Fern to proxy level them. Aya and Serra are pretty tough for newer players but I agree with you; they both have strategies/certain Pokemon to beat them, as long as there's some counter play there's no need to swing the nerf bat!
  6. Trying to get a Dwebble to teach it Stealth Rocks and breed it onto my Forretress. Can't find the little rock crab though. I've tried smashing rocks under the Staircase, and in Apophyll. I've ran around Tanzan too and can't seem to find him. Anyone seen it somewhere? EDIT: Hour of rock smashing, no Dwebble. Post thread, find Dwebble immediately. Ignore this o.0

You don't even need a "good duo" when using Magenzone. It's resistant to almost all of Aya's moves. Use Charge Beam a couple times, sweep her with your huge SpAtk. If you have a Psychic type like Kadabra or Gardevoir, sure that'll make it easier. Just keep Magnezone's health up and Aya goes down easy.
  8. Keep it up! I can count on one hand the amount of times I've been 'lucky' in a Pokemon game.. That being said I think there's a better path for running around. you can start all the way at the street above the Pokemon Center in the Coral Ward and ride the bike all the way up to the Trainer School while making only a couple minor adjustments to the pathing.
  9. I think it's like, 100% in the handhelds but I'm not sure if Ame would have dropped the chance or not.
  10. Every ability is either a 'First' 'Second' or 'Hidden' Ability. When your Pokemon evolve, the evolved Pokmeon take the ability in the same slot.
  11. HOLY STEELIX WUT. Not even worried. THE SUN WILL COME OUT, TOMORROW!
  12. Untrue. I'm not sure that there's a set 'next location' to find Zorua; I think it can appear in any of the alleys in any order, but only once per alley. I know that weather can be an issue so just try and keep it windy and at night. That seems to be the most consistent way to find it.
  13. I'm assuming this was directed at the Unown post, becuase that would be hysterical. Just sneak it in and don't tell anyone... And, for the 300,000th time, Heart Scales by mining, catching Luvdisc, or stealing them from Luvdisc. Move Relearner is in Obsidia.
  14. Train more Poke's and you'll never have that problem again! I'm pumped for more Gyms. My Sun Team is absolutely dominant :feelsgd:
  15. If there's hail then yeah, most of that is true. Most of her Pokemon have Snow Cloak, Frost Breath always crits, Blizzard IS 100% accuracy.
  16. The Basculin are pretty good for training, ~1k XP so you can kill two birds with one stone. I swear by mining. I found 6 by mining, they're very common.
  17. NOT BAD! I probably won't use it as I like the pace of the game but if ever I need to grind from a very low level...hey anything to reduce tediousness right?
  18. And yes, you are supposed to get a "lead" from the guy in the first house that talks about Mudkip during a rainy day.
  19. It's a known bug caused by Big Root. Fixed for next release I believe.
  20. Reginald and Xpecial are professional League of Legends players for Team SoloMid (AKA THE BEST TEAM EVER!!! TSM TSM TSM TSM TSM!) Anyways I caught this too and laughed so hard. Good one Ame.
  21. Well, when I decided to make a second playthrough I had no idea I would have twice as much fun as my first! Unfortunately, I had no idea what I was doing when gong for multiple saves so my OG file is gone I've never used weather before and decided a Sun Team would be tons of fun, so let's get into it! Ninetails (Blanca) Naive : Drought -Flamethrower -Will-o-Wisp -Extrasensory -Confuse Ray Pretty standard for a Sun Team! She's extremely fast, solid utility burn for those big physical threats that she outspeeds, confusion if I wanna try and get lucky for a free switch. Would've preferred Timid, but I did not feel like resetting a million times for this one. Blaziken (ALLA DAT!) Naughty : Speed Boost -Bulk Up -Quick Attack -Blaze Kick -Double Kick AWWHHHHH YEAHHHHHH :feelsgd: If any of you watch shofu, I shamelessly stole his nickname for his Darmanitan. Sorry I'm not sorry. Anyways, this thing is a monster. OHKO'd every single one of Serra's pokemon whenever Blaze Kick decided to land....I swear Snow Cloak is on even when the hail isn't. I opted to start Blaziken instead of Bulba for a sun team because I knew Bulba was available as an event Poke, and because the Fire Chicken is a much bigger threat. Gligar (Murcielago) Relaxed : Hyper Cutter -U-Turn -Faint Attack -Cut -Acrobatics Despite having a -SPE nature, I've found that Gligar, eventually Gliscor (Ame plz), still outspeeds a lot of Pokemon. Beyond that this thing is a frickin' TANK. Eats up physical moves like nothing. I reset a ton of times for the Toxic Heal but alas, I think event Pokemon with 3 possible abilities are bugged in that getting the Dream World ability isn't possible Acrobatics still does excellent damage and wrecked most of Kiki's team Luxray (JohnnyBoy) Hardy : Intimidate -Thunder Fang -Spark -Roar -Crunch Surprisingly bulky! I mainly started using Shinx as a "Meh I'll replace it in a couple levels" sort of Pokemon but after it evolved to Luxray I realized this thing can do some work! 100% redundancy on TF and Spark but I don't have many other options with a Physical Electric type. Again, it can take quite a few hits before going down as well, I really like Luxray! Once Chandelure becomes available I might end up leaving JohnnyBoy in the box but I feel like that's a long way away. Venusaur (MrUniverse) @Miracle Seed Timid : Chlorophyll -Solar Beam -Giga Drain -Growth -Sleep Powder I FREAKED OUT WHEN I GOT THIS! I took the Bulbasaur, bred with a Foongus for Giga Drain, and figured I'd have to reset at least a hundred times to get just any +SPE nature and Chlorophyll...BUT I GOT THE IDEAL SET ON THE FIRST EGG WOOHOO. Guys I cant even... Anyways, a little monotypical but again my options are limited with the lack of TMs and the inability to know IVs and give this thing HP Fire. I'll probably keep this set for the rest of the game; Solar Beam oneshots almost anything after a Growth while Giga Drain gives me a crap ton of HP back. I love this thing almost as much as my Fire Chicken. The last slot is kind of up in the air. While adventuring I generally use an HM Slave but I seriously hate those things. I have a Forretress but I think setting up hazards is pretty overkill in a single-player Pokemon game. I'm thinking I'll grab Gengar, Chandelure when it becomes available, or maybe a big Special Wall. Also! I have 0 items. Like, as you can see the only one holding anything is Venusaur. Any tips on where to pick up some beneficial items? Tips on a special wall not named Vaporeon? Thanks for reading guys! As always, big shoutout to Ame for making an amazing game that has single handedly decreased my social interaction. And thanks to the community for all the help!
  22. I second the screw you @ Shade's Chandelure, that thing is a MENACE. I realllllllly want a Chandelure now though. Glad you're having fun!
  23. It is TONS of fun. I love my Sun Team so much <3
  24. I stumbled upon this searching for something completely different but Sun Teams are my favorite sooo: The biggest thing that stands out is that Venusaur build, you're having problems sweeping with it because you have the completely wrong nature and spread! Venu is MUCH better as a Special Sweeper, not a physical one. Run Growth, Giga Drain, HP Fire, and either Sleep Powder or Sludge Bomb. That's an extremely standard set but it's truly the best one that works for Venu. You don't have a spinner which could be extremely dangerous. AND no hazards? Definitely take Forretress over Xatu or Vaporeon. Gengar's moveset isn't that great. Counter? Noooo. I think you're using Gengar in a very underwhelming fashion for two reasons. 1) the Counter bait is kind of an all in sort of deal. Gengar is much more useful when it stays up, you don't want Gengar to die! 2) You don't have a spinner. So if you switch Gengar into hazards, Sash breaks, and you're an easy kill. I'm not sure I'd run two sunny days AND drought. That seems like a wasted moveslot on Heatran that could easily go for Hidden Power Ice. Icy Wind as your only anti-Dragon move eans you're going to lose. You have no hazards. Dragonite switches in, no hazards means multiscale is still intact, sets up on you, wave goodbye to your team. Hope some of this helped. Other Pokemon I'd consider are Darmanitan because you lack a real physical threat, Forretress for hazards and spinning, Volcarona for more sweeping potential.
