It seems that Spinel Town uses a different format for its music. I've noticed that every area save for Spinel Town activates my AC3 config utility to adjust the volume and such, as does every wall bump sound in the game. It is probably why Spinel town is twice as loud as the rest of my game- I used the AC3 config utility to turn down the game's music. Can anyone corroborate this finding?

Odd. I'm in spinel town, and I never saw any ice cream vendors there. Of course, that might be because I'm running 9.5 with its notorious Spinel Town glitches.

Pokémon X and Y! (Official Discussion Topic)

Not sure if serious, or sarcastic. Because that actually IS kind of cute, in a way. It also looks like it wants to eat your soul. -
The gym leaders are your competition. This game is pretty freaking hard if you don't know what you're doing. That's why EV training is so important. Or at least, I assume it will be important at the later stages.

That Paras sure doesn't LOOK shiny... EDIT: NVM, it's shiny. Damn, that's one pokemon that really doesn't have much of a difference between shiny/not shiny.

Ame needs to see this and add it to Episode 10 as a visual upderp.

Seedot looks more passively annoyed than apathetic to me. Its evolutionary line actually makes some sense to me. -
I heard somewhere that if you give the kid in the candy shop some ice cream, he moves away and you can get a vanillice. Don't know if that's right, though.

Yeah. Chespin seems too excited by everything to be a Dark type down the evolutionary road. I think he might end up as a fighting type, while Fenniken may get a Dark secondary, instead of a psychic one. -

I found the directions... But now I'm stuck in the Chrysolia building glitch that appeared in 9.5, goddammit. Ame, I need help! I accidentally saved after exiting the door! -

So yeah. I'm stuck at Chyrsolia Forest, and don't know how to advance. Anyone know how to get through to the next part? -
^This. I learned the hard way that, when you're not in battle, you should just stick to 2x speed.
-
lol. I used the speed hack in reverse to slow down the slots to .25 speed, and it made getting coins easy as hell. It also made me discover that the slots are occasionally rigged, but when they are, it's in one of three distinct patterns, which is actually pretty easy to work around, once you get it.

TFW you can't get your homework done because other people's crap drags you into it, and by the time you're done, your medicine wears off so you can't focus. TFW the above sentence happens several times in a row, causing serious backlog. TFW you set school as your first priority, and the above happens.

Oh God dammit. Seriously, God Damn SOPA. Not a reaction, I sincerely wish God would Damn SOPA.

...*sigh* Masamuine... Please try to learn how not to be a hypocrite. You are coming off exactly the way you are describing us as coming off to you. I'm not trying to be all "high and mighty", nor am I trying to be snobbish, but seriously, you are coming off as considerably rude. Again, I am not trying to be stuck up, I am simply trying to help clear up misunderstandings, or better yet, prevent them from occurring. While you may have said that it was simply an opinion, your wording heavily implied that you believed it to be fact, and that you were trying to present it as such. That was where the problem lay. And that is what caused this whole series of accusations and presumed hypocrisy. Again, I am only trying to clear things up. If this seems snobbish to you, then I'm sorry, but I don't know how to word this in a way that doesn't. Please try to understand that, at the very least. -

The Kyuubi thing makes me think of this possibility- Froakie's evos- Water/Psychic, Fennekin's- Fire/Dark, and Chespin's would be Grass/Fighting. Alternatively, Froakie's design combined with that wizard comment makes me think he could end up as a Water/Fairy instead. There's a superstition that's popular in Japan that says if you remain a virgin until you turn 30, you become a wizard, and may end up with a fairy bride. It's usually used as a joke. EDIT: I'm thinking that Psychic and Fairy might be either A) Super Effective against each other, or Not Very Effective against each other, because of the whole science vs magic thing. Also, there's a good possibility of Steel Type being Super Effective against Fairy types, because, in nearly every culture I can think of, iron has proven to be effective against supernatural enemies in several famous tales. -

@Masamuine: ??? Umm, what? I wasn't calling you any of those things. All I was really saying was don't post speculation as fact. The last sentence was pretty much just a joke. So really, that comment just seems completely hypocritical. ...Actually, you're sounding just like my best friend back when he was on that "barely legal" crap. @Ikaru: About that deeper themes thing... I was only speculating, and I also said that, (I'm paraphrasing here) if they DID go and do that sort of thing, it wouldn't be anything really big. -

Masamuine... That's still just speculation. Admittedly, they are quite likely to be true (the ones he says are likely to be true), but they're still just that- speculation. Just wait for more details to be released before jumping to conclusions. THEN you can gloat when it turns out you were probably right without sounding like a ******. EDIT: Also, it didn't see that one with the mirror. Can I haz a link, please? -

I have neither seen nor heard anything about such a function in anything about the games. Perhaps there will be DLC for outfits? -

If they get deeper, it won't be by much. Probably just hints and implied things. If the audience gets into it, they might actually expand on those things later. That's how I would do it if I were running the company. EDIT: Thinking about it, Team Flair actually provides a more realistic goal than any other Team in the Pokemon franchise- getting rich. Rather than world domination or awakening a sleeping god, making lots of money is a far more plausible goal. And TBH, it actually tends to have far graver results than the other two on the path. So really, while their modus operandi is simpler, it's effects are more apparent and easily understood, and can actually be explored more deeply, as opposed to the previous generations' teams, whose goals and motivations were much more obvious, and thus could be fully comprehended without digging deeply into motives. ...That could have been worded better, but I am not good with words. Maybe someone could phrase it better? I think I got my point across, though... -

I actually have mixed feelings about his mega evolution. On the one hand, it makes him look more like a child. On the other hand, it gives a more streamlined appearance. I got the impression that the mega evolution would drop his attack, defense, and possibly HP stats while raising his Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and speed stats. And I keep hearing that Ash looks older in the X and Y trailer. This generally indicates they're targeting a slightly older audience, which usually means they'd be showing slightly deeper themes. And since Mewtwo already has his own controversy merely by existing... he's a pretty strong character to have as part of the main cast. Again, I may be reading too deeply into this. -

You know... That demo version with the Mewtwo, and the new Mewtwo movie, combined with the fact that they went out of their way to make the movie tie in to the anime regular instead of just producing it standalone and not worry about where in the timeline it fits, makes me think that Mewtwo may or may not have some important role in the X and Y anime... But I may be reading too much into this. -
I downloaded both patches and applied them, but nothing happened. EDIT: NVM, I simply didn't download 9.5. EDIT 2: The other glitches are likely still in place on the first post's issues, as the Game Center still hasn't had its entry point changed.

I FINALLY BEAT HER! I started off with Gallade and Magnezone. Gallade spammed Double Team until Muk Disabled it, while Magnezone spammed his Charge Beam, until Muk Disabled it. Beat Tentacruel easily. Magnezone used Flash Cannon twice on Nidoqueen to knock it out. Then Gengar took two Charge Beams and fainted. Then came Drapion. Two hits with Electro Ball, since Muk Disabled Charge Beam by now, took it out. Then came Seviper. Muk beat Gallade, so I sent out Donphan. Magnezone was weak at this point, so I figured I'd put him out of his misery. Except Muk took him out first. So out goes Marowak with a Thick Club. Bulldoze goes off, Muk evades, Seviper takes a hit. Next turn, Muk takes out Donphan, so I send out Magmar. Magmar uses Sunny Day, while Marowak beats Seviper with a Bonemerang. Next turn, both Fire Punch and Bonemerang miss, but the one after that, Bonemerang hits, OHKOing Muk. Never even had to use Gardevoir.
