Then why is it so damn consistent? It ALWAYS misses the first three times on the freaking Lileep, and then it only works every other time, assuming Noctowl isn't KOed. Well, in any case, anyone got any advice for me on that particular boss double battle? I've got all my pokemon at lv range 25-27, and currently consisting of Ariados, Growlithe, Magby, Meowth, Noctowl, and Mawile.

Can anyone tell me WHY Hypnosis seems to have only a 30% success rate, and why it ALWAYS seems to miss the first three times, on certain Pokemon? It's making some boss battles impossibly difficult. More specifically, in the battle against Taka and ZEL on the 3rd machine. EDIT: If it helps, I'm still using the original Episode VIII update.

Yeah, I hate stall battles, too, but I can see how they'd sometimes be necessary to win. That is why I very rarely use moves that affect stats and instead just go straight for the kill- most times, the stat changes just waste a move and end up with the battling pokemon ending up more hurt, at least in the earlier levels. That said, welcome to the forums, some people say to leave your sanity and something about doors and windows, but you obviously don't have any of that first one if you're even here in the first place. Also, I prefer Steel and Psychic types, with Dragon being my third if possible.

Then perhaps you should get one of your beta testers to use a hacked version where you tweak the code to force the event to occur. If there's one thing my programming class taught me, it's that if there's potential for a bug to occur, force it to occur so that you know more about the bug and can prevent it from occurring in the final product.

I was referring more to the icons like how, according to the pokemon wiki, there will be a little icon next to the pokemon's health bar. What I meant was- which version of the icon will be used?

Hmm... I remember having a pokemon get pokerus pretty early on in Gold version when I first got it when the game was still new. My main team was around lv20 at the time, and I was too young to realize the benefits of "strategy". So I guess I was just lucky back then? And just for future reference, if someone were to get a pokemon with pokerus, what would be the indicator for the condition for Reborn?

Is there pokerus in Reborn? And if so, is the chance of infection any different from the original games?

Normally I'd let my completionist nature take hold, but those clock puzzles are damn near impossible for me, despite my unusually high IQ- in short, you'd have to be a supercomputer to solve them.   Item requests, item requests... Okay, the guy who said to add Agumon from Digimon to represent Namco-Bandai? Yes, but choose a more balanced Digimon. Agumon is iconic, but has very little in the way of physical attacks. Something like Guilmon or Kotemon would be more balanced, though more likely Guilmon because there are enough swordsman in the game as is. Better yet, Dracomon, because he can fly a bit (or rather, his wings can slow his fall), has ranged attacks, and does actually use his claws for something. It would be a balanced character and would fit well in Brawl, IMO. Also, Dracomon is the 10th anniversary Digimon, so it's pretty much one of their main mascots.

I read Homestuck for pleasure. I'm on my 8th readthrough. I just got to the Troll Romance Quadrants again, and thoroughly enjoy the exposition on the subject. I am also an official forumite shipper in the Homestuck fandom. Sanity was never an option for me. And while I can be pretty opinionated, it doesn't mean I'm not open minded. I react pretty well when people actually support their arguments with viable evidence and reasonable viewpoints.

From the looks of the chart, I'd say that's a yes. Personally, I'm waiting for Beldum- Metagross is my favorite.

Huh. I only just completed the first episode. Good thing I already updated the game! Speaking of, it's pretty much the most well-written Pokemon game I've ever seen- including the canon ones.

If you know what that means, then you're a Homestuck. Regardless, this is still simply an introductory thread- I will not try to tell you about Homestuck here. Firstly, you must know that, while I have only been able to play the first three generations of Pokemon, I was quite fond of them. As such, I started looking for fangames once I became aware they existed about a month or so ago. This led me to this site and the Pokemon Reborn game- by far the most well written game involving Pokemon I've ever seen, including the original ones. That said, I noticed that there was an actual community here. And so, I have decided that it would be worth my while to join the forums. But enough about how I got here- let's talk about who I am. First off, I tend to get obsessive about things. This likely stems from a condition I was born with. Regardless, it's a double edged sword that allows me to stay focused on things I find interesting to the detrimine of the things I might actually need to know. Which is why EV is a new concept to me. Secondly, I have a tendency to ask questions about things I don't know. I will ask a LOT of questions, until I have acquired sufficient knowledge to engage in actual conversation. At this point, you probably figured out that I like using big words- this is because I'm careful about how I word things. I am very annoyed when misunderstandings arise, so I do my best to prevent them by explaining things exactly as they are from my point of view. Which brings me to my next point- I am very opinionated. This has brought me nothing but enemies in the past, so I will keep my opinions to myself on certain matters. And now the interesting stuff- Metagross is, by far, my favorite Pokemon. I used to imagine what it would be like to just ride around on the back of one. I never really got any further than that. Thankfully, I am a bit less insane now, so I can actually talk about real life again. This is thanks to Homestuck and RPs. But I promised not to tell you about Homestuck here, and I doubt you'd be interested in the RP I'm in. That said, I'm looking forward to talking to you guys!
